Bought mine a few years ago as a beach beater and love it. I own everything from this through to Rolex 1460m and it holds its own. The lightness being one of its best quality. Lack of lume the worst
Great video, Kyle - I had a similar experience myself. I'd been relying on my phone to tell the time for years but suddenly needed a watch for a new job for little or no money. It had to be cheap, tough, accurate, legible, lightweight and effectively disposable - this little Casio totally fit the bill! It also rekindled my interest in watches and I've moved on to bigger and better things since. Despite buying it as an emergency 'burner' watch at a difficult time, I became very fond of it and will keep it in my collection forever.
Thanks for your comment Dom. Really appreciate you sharing your story. I myself have also moved onto other things and designs. Although, this will definitely be hard to get rid of, whatever else changes. Cheers, Kyle ✌🏽
A truly great little watch. I’ve seen this reviewed loads of times. It’s your delivery and voice that really stands out, though, well done. You should do many more reviews.
Got this today from Argos for £19.99 after watching your video. An obsessed with watches and just wanted an everyday casual one I don’t have to worry about it. It’s great. Thanks for the video
I have an omega seamaster sword hands in mid size and wanted something for work. Being an electrician I needed something legible and plastic and this fitted the bill I decided to go for the model with the white band with black bezel and face, I paid £24 on ebay for a brand new one and like it so much I bought another one for a back up if needed...again on ebay this time for £13 !! The only thing that has happened is the band has discoloured in places due to working on site, but I reckon with a little amount of pvc cleaner it will come up as new, just can't be bothered though!! The only thing I'd say is it looks a bit too busy on the dial with the 24 hour numerals, but that I can live with I even wash my hands and submerge it completely and it doesn't affect it at all, only had it for a couple of months and love it A great affordable beater that looks great on the wrist, get one you won't regret it
i normally wear a Timex Ironman which is a nice all around watch but decided to pull this watch out and change it up. What's not to like! Simple, easy to read and affordable. I like the looks as well!
I love CASIO watches my favorite watches I love this watch I want to get this model in the black and white dial very nice watch I have the other model like this one with the 52mm I love CASIO watches
Thank you for your comment and feedback. I'm glad to hear you're also fond of the MRW-200H... range. I'll have to look up the exact reference you mentioned, sounds interesting! Cheers, Kyle 👋🏼
@@kyle_vrGlad it drew interest🙋. The lume on this model is applied on all 12 markers along with the hour+minute+second handers. Though the charge of the luminescence stays briefly but still looks nice in the dark. The other model I have has lume only in the hour+minute+second handers (MRW-200H-1B3V). Not sure how it's on your one. I liked your model and will look for one. Also loved your neat job on filming👍 Thanks for the reply mate. Cheers!!
I bought the orange version and really liked it. After a month or so I decided to remove the plastic strap and replaced in with a black and orange nato strap which was in two parts with quick release pins. Now it is fabulous. I’d recommend this watch to anyone, and modding it has only improved what it a brilliant watch. Hard to believe it only cost me £20 on the net plus £4.99 eBay strap. Greetings from Cumbria in the U.K. Stay safe and well.
Thanks for your comment Trevor. I appreciate your feedback and story about your own watch. I will look into an alternative strap at some point, seems like a quick upgrade! Cheers, Kyle 👋
Good video, thanks. I bought my one in April this year. It is a nice small watch, compared to my G-Shock Rangeman 9400-1. The strap feels too small, so I bought a 22mm rubber strap and modified the end to 18mm. It is much nicer and not so small looking with the thinner strap, which makes it look and feel.more substantial, but still very light. It is my daily watch now. I use the G-Shock when I need a more rugged watch and at night because of th backlight. I like my Casio MRW-200H-1, good watch, also tough and worn it swimming and hiking, it doesn't miss a beat.
Oh wow, that's great. I'm really glad you're enjoying it too. I go back and forth on whether I should get a g-shock again...I think I'd get it mainly for it's night time (and ruggedness) upperhand - I'll get to it eventually ahaha. Thanks for your comment! Cheers, Kyle
Yes, I would recommend buying a G-Shock again. Can try the G-Shock G-5600UE-1. It's a square G, a classic and it is solar powered, but no atomic time (it is easy to reset the time if needed) also cheaper than the 5610 as has the same module. Can't go wrong with any of the square G's. There is the G-Shock GW-7900 if you want something a bit more beefy. So may to choose from. Go for it!
@@kyle_vr Hi Kyle, if you prefer ani-digi, then I hr G-Shock GA-2100 series is good, but battery only, otherwise the GA-B2100 series which is the solar with Bluetooth version. Known as the "Casioak"
This is the first video I see from you. Very well explained and presented. I've been thinking about getting this watch myself. This or another color (some colors can cost up to 50% less over where I live). Cheers and keep up the good work mate. I subscribed. Best of luck!
Great review. I’ve had a few of these, marvellous for the money. Can’t fault it for the money. Lume could be better, I have no issue with the plastic crystal. Warning, though, there is no end of life indicator, ie seconds hand doesn’t jump, it just stops. Battery lasts 3 years ish and can be had from 11p, dead easy to replace, amaaaazing! £12 in uk Argos at the mo.
Woow! At last someone who view a watch as an instrument to solve the simple problem of telling time and not a piece of cut-throat jewelry to impress the sheeples. basic watch hard to read date or at night the strap does not break as fast as other Casio straps it used to cost $12 now about $17 Casios usually lose a minute a month
Pros: Basic, easy-to-read date, good strap, still really affordable and (surprisingly) accurate - enough for most. Cons: Poor lume and bezel movement is smooth. Thanks for your comment Sam. Your feedback is appreciated. Cheers, Kyle 👋
So many high end watches feature reliable 100m water resitance with no screw down Crown or screw down pushers on chronographs. No different for this watch. I have seen many people go diving with it as well

@@kyle_vr You fill in the watch with a dielectric liquid and it gives a solid view.
@@elmacho7561 How does it not affect the movement of the hands if it'sin the case?
@@kyle_vr It has to be performed on the mecha-quartz movement; this mod does affect the advance of the hands but it is minimal.
