You are absolutely right. 500 to 100 dollars is a lot of money to invest in a watch for most people (in India 500 dollars is 5 months rent in tier 2 cities). I like the white dial too..I might pick one up. This is a great model. I do wish the band is a little more premium feeling out of the box. But that is not the watch's fault. It's because I can't stop but comparing it to something far more expensive because Casio has quality of the actual watch itself so sorted. The second hand hits every marker. Try and find a Seiko that does that

It has turned out to be one of the best watches in my collection other than my DW-5600E. Thank you for helping me choose the best analog watch made by Casio. But I must say that the watch is extremely prone to scratches. My watch has been mildly scratched since its purchase but I don't mind it as it is mostly invisible when viewing.
This sure is a durable watch. The good thing about scratches on resin glass is that they can be buffed right off like I have done with my F-91 a few times...with car scratch remover ;)
