As a woman you should be aware of how to properly use color correcting makeup. Amber stated that she put concealer on, then foundation, and then the color corrector. If she did it that way to cover a red bruise you would see a big green spot on her cheek. Please cover this important point because I don't see anyone picking up on this. If he were to bring up a makeup artist as an expert witness then it would win his case. If she doesn't know how to use the makeup then it means she never did. All of her claims of the photos showing nothing because of her makeup would be disproved.
Just to let you know Elaine had dr speigal ask her so is their anything you want me to not lie about she’s no so she can get barred you can hear it in the audio the microphone is on
@@lornaduwn As a woman, I certainly don't "need" to know anything about makeup. I choose to, but it is not required because I am XX and not XY. just saying.
If Amber argues that Johnny is responsible for his attorney’s words, shouldn’t she also have to concede that anything her lawyers shared with TMZ about her is her responsibility, even if she didn’t directly share it? 🤣
same for the money stuff, the same witness said johnny can't use future Pirates losses in his claim, but somehow Amber can use future Aquaman and the next 5 years of potential movie roles as a losses, absolute nonsense
Shout-out to everyone else who's become the annoying "Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial update" person thanks to Emily's entertaining and accessible commentary.
Yes Emily I hear you. My daughter is dyslexic, her grade school teacher said to us, “you know she thinks she can get into college right.” We said yes, and she will. And yes she did, graduated chancellor scholar, that means she got an A , 100 % on all assigned and tests for her college degree. Never tell a child with dyslexia they are not as smart as anybody else.
As an adult with dyslexia and ADD who had a teacher laugh in my mum's face when she told them I wanted to go to uni and is now studying a masters in speech pathology after receiving a bachelor in linguistics. I whole heartedly agree. Never tell a child with dyslexia they are not smart.
Wow, what an ugly thing to say to a child (or anyone really). People like that should not be teachers or have children if they are willing to put them down like that.
Good lord, what an awful thing to say. Every day I’m a little more thankful I was homeschooled. I’m happy to hear your daughter is doing so well. Good for her. Probably has a higher degree of education than her teacher now lmao
I never realized how much more polite and courteous depps experts are to heards lawyers than heards is to depps. Not necessarily talking about friends and family im just talking the experts.
@@raechuuu510 I mean, it's not about "bothering" some people have accents and some people just mispronounce stuff. Like at first I was kinda suspicious about Elaine with Vasquez but I keep hearing her mispronounce random words and names so now I really think she just doesn't know how to pronounce shit lol. And if I've heard somebody mispronounce something it totally fucks me up so she could be fucking everybody else up too. Especially if they're not 100% sure already.
@@mayaenglish5424 I just kept hoping at least one person would get it right. Haha! They don’t ALL have accents. Also, I’m not hating on anyone for saying it wrong, my comment was meant to be very light hearted.
ignoring all the different camps for Johnny & Amber, I actually appreciate the judge's patience and fairness in every ruling and every comment, I would want her to be a role model for smaller court judges as well.
I agree she's been extremely patient & fair. But I think she should have admonished Umbridge for arguing with her rulings so many times. It sets a bad example to let her get away with it to this extent.
She’s been remarkably patient. I mean this trial was never about the lawsuit itself. Johnny’s doesn’t care if he wins or not, a win is just icing on the cake. This has been a show for the world exposing the truth and winning the trial in the court of public opinion. Amber’s countersuit is just retaliation for the sake of retaliation. With that in mind, the judge has to deal with this political PR exposition, and navigate it without letting her court room degenerate into a scandalous he said/ she said cat fight. I feel she has done a good job and shown more patience for all of this then I would have in her shoes.
Before this trial I had no idea that there were channels on UA-cam like yours, after spending the last week spellbound by your intelligent & informed commentary I'm hooked! You're great, thanks for doing what you do...
I’ve been following Emily for a couple of years for all these reasons, I’m so glad more people are finding her and enjoying her content. She really is great isn’t she!
Same!! I’ve been watching Emily for quite some time right now and the only other lawyer I’ve known about and watched is That Surprise Witness. I’ve found some great channels through Emily…but she’s still my absolute fave and I’ve so loved watching this trial with her and learned so much!!
Same! I watched every second of the trial and THEN found Emily…..Sooo I’ve been watching the entire trial again….it’s amazing to listen to a down to earth, intelligent lawyer commentate on things that got my attention the first time I watched it. I drank the kool aid and I’m hooked. Plus I know she’s a cool chick…..great vibes!
I just now I wrote an email to my corporate office and started it with, "What if anything..." OMG, it *IS* contagious. I never knew how much I would enjoy being "in court" and that is down to YOU. Thank you for providing such excellent, reliable, educational, humorous and just darn entertaining content. I found you when coverage was around WACB/Tati, and boy did I learn a TON about jurisdiction. Love everything you do and THANK YOU for doing it. Congratulations on all the well deserved landslide of new subscribers!!
I was listening to her last week at work and my friend came up to see her boss (who’s office is in my office area) and she saw my phone and yelled, “OMG!! Are you watching Emily D. Baker??” She said no one else has been watching this case and she’s been dying to talk about it with someone and was so excited that I was watching Emily too lol. Long story short, I’m so glad I found her channel! I was just getting updated from Christina Randall, who just gives some basic commentary on these things, and I when reading the comments, I came across a few people saying to watch Emily D. Baker so thank you to those people!! She makes understanding this whole trial so easy, like I’m a 5 year old. 😂 Can’t get enough and I’m a loyal subscriber for life!
I was wondering if Amber's team accidentally got one of the patients instead of the actual psychiatrist. If he was my doctor, I'm fairly sure that I would be leaving sessions with him more messed up than before I went in.
Yes! Terrible to think he actually deals with his "victims" from whom he apparently doesn't require perfection. He's like an escapee from a mental asylum in a horror movie.
Googled the judge she has a cool background, She is also a vet (marine) and uses her good name and standing to support veterans affairs. She is considered a bit of old school when it comes to the legal rules.
@@bereasonable8018 interesting. I have a background in the entertainment industry. Both sides are pretty much blacklisted because of liability , regardless of who is right or wrong. They will never work in the industry as how they did before and /or for those studios in which they works for. They will look for the loophole law to say they were let go for other reasons to not admit being blacklisted.
yup... he said `Johnny was one of the boys.` they way it works is if you speak out about racial inequality, sexual abuse and harassment, the disparity in pay rates between men and women, diversity and inclusion you get vilified hence the irony of this trial...meanwhile abortion rights are disintegrating , 14 children got shot at school today and oh yeah the pandemic is still happening.
Knowing the information they could get in with their rebuttal witnesses, it makes so much more sense now how JDs lawyers crafted their cross examination of AHs experts. Just raising questions in the jurors minds and drawing attention to what they should pay attention, laying the path so that their own experts could come back up and blow everything out. I'm fascinated with the strategies! Thank you Emily, I'm loving your coverage of this trial and absolutely love to hear your thoughts
I’m sorry, how can Heard’s attorney’s call her “the female star” when Nicole Kidman was in Aquaman?!? Please make it make sense. I didn’t even know Amber Heard played Mera until this case started.
Eh. To be fair, Nicole Kidman was in the movie for maybe like, ten minutes of screen time? She’s definitely the bigger star compared to Amber. But Nicole Kidman was in no way the lead/star of Aquaman.
The ONLY "witness" Evidence of Depp doing Anything Remotely Physical is the stairs incident. The only witness is heard's sister. The versions are so different! The desperation Rottenborne goes to, all heard's attorneys actually, to prove Depp "grabbed, hit, pushed or slapped" Whitney on the stairs is pathetic. Arguing about what he could do with his hand or fingers! Questions to his Surgeon go beyond normal Because they desperately Need this to be believable. I certainly believe everyone Except heard & lil sis, their tales do not match. Other witnesses are consistent. Actually I don't believe a word she says, the lies are very numerous. The sexual attention she needed & had while married were too numerous. She cheated, she lies, and she Did get his money. What More Could Be Said to the jury. I hope more witnesses come forward, but it seems like she has dirt on a few who refuse now to testify. Wow Her Phone Had To Be Lost & Not Turned Over, the dirt she gathered would be Tooo much for her. I bet she got paid a Lot Secretly to lose it. Enough to risk those pesky sanctions for sure!
That’s Spiegel! Yup! Indeed. No matter how many good point he said but when he displayed his meltdown, everything he said is compromised, if not can’t be believe at all.
I think this also applies to so many YT content providers as well - acting more like & profiting as influencers. For myself - I'd prefer straight up content asking people to question what they're hearing/seeing as opposed to listening to any one influencer's opinions about it - For me... that is far more professional - especially looking across all the YT content and the people who are 'grifting' off the JD/AH drama (as one example) drumming up clicks/support for their channels. Also, as a hearing impaired person I do not listen to anyone who either talks over guests/presented audio or those who talk while including background music. - So many content providers take it for granted that all listeners are sight and/or hearing abled. YT disgusts me in what it has become with the me, me, me crowd vying for our attentions as opposed to what it could have become (so much more)
They're arguing that AH contributed just as much to the success of Aquaman as Jason Momoa and therefore her salary should be on par?! Aquaman is a success BECAUSE of Jason Momoa, NOT because AH is in it. People aren't going to see AH.
Yes thank you 🙏 they have been a lifesaver when it comes to catching up on this trial. I listen to it on my walks with my dog at the end of the day so I need to make sure to skip all the nonsense from Ambers side to fit it in my schedule lol. Plus the recaps have saved me from lots of unnecessary listening to the so called experts Ambers side called. These hired guns who misrepresented almost everything they testified too. 🤦♀️
I loved loved loved how Ben Chew pointed out Amber’s abuse of the system and her word-twisting, like “I didn’t hit you, I punched you”, and how he asked people to imagine if the shoe were on the other foot and a man said that to a woman. I also love how he reminded the court about Amber daring Johnny to tell a judge and jury that he’s a victim of abuse and her taunting him saying “see who believes you”. He said what so many of us have been wanting to remind everyone about her undeniable abusive and egregious behavior
I think Amber needs psychiatric help. I pray she gets it. I'd say she has a lot of soul searching to do but I don't think she would even know how. She is completely self unaware.
She doesn’t want help, she probably doesn’t think she needs it… I feel like good people feel sympathy for her not realising that some people just can’t be saved.
No funny business. She should really enlist Dr. Curry. She has the capacity to properly treat her. However, I believe it highly unlikely for Amber to seek her out for treatment because she understands fully that Dr. Curry see through her. Amber also comes across to have envy in the face of this, that she sees through her mental dilemma. 🤷🏾♀️
I believe she's an entitled, nasty human. AH has been so spoiled & pampered, J.D. is so very private person. AH thought he wouldn't give up his privacy & tell his truth. IMO
Emily, I’m not sure if you have the time to read your comments, but I know I’ll feel better just writing this, so here goes. My son has ADHD and I vacillate between being in awe of him and being terrified about how hard he has it in so many ways. But then I stumbled upon you and your brilliance and your amazing way with words (I’m a speech-language pathologist and a WORD nerd) and I’m reminded of what I already knew. The sky’s the limit for my beautiful son. Thank you for that …and for expanding my nerd horizons. 💜
Hi! I'm a successful mom, wife, and professional business consultant in grad school - with ADD. What I have found INCREDIBLY helpful is knowing what I'm good at, finding a job that utilizes my ADD as a good trait, using organizational tools that work for me, establishing and maintaining routines, taking meds and adjusting as needed, self awareness of my strengths and blind spots, and patience and kindness to myself (I don't hate myself for not being perfect or using different told than other people use). I assure you that your son has paths to a successful, happy life. It might just take a different direction than you imagined before. I'm educated in ADD, ADHD, and other autism-spectrum life skills and management - feel free to reach out. Also, ADHDTok has GREAT info (and some junk, so use wisely) - I would start with Conor DeWolfe. Also, I've been looking for the Word Nerds! Has any YT person gone through and compiled a video review of Amber's language choices? My suspicion is that you can tell where she's been coached heavily bc of her word choice (elevated vs high school level) and linguistic tells. I would love to see someone review that compilation of her testimony.
@@catytheredheadedalaskan8118 thank you so incredibly much. This is such a wonderful, supportive community and I’m so glad to have stumbled upon it. I’ve been talking to my son (who is 15 years old and was diagnosed in the first grade) about Emily …and he read your comment as well. I talk to him all the time about how neuro diversity is beautiful, but I kinda feel like I don’t deserve to deliver that message, since I don’t have first-hand experience. It’s so much better for him to hear from those who have some of his same strengths and challenges. As for the word nerd stuff, YES!!! I can hear the difference in her tone, sentence structure, and word usage. Also, I’m fascinated with JD’s manner of speaking. His language is so …flowery and formal. Part of it is that he’s probably avoiding being crass or vulgar in the courtroom, but it’s evident even in his (verified) texts. Very interesting.
I think what irritated me most through this whole circus was the utter disrespect AH's team has for the facts. You have a witness stand up in the morning, say "The sky is blue", and Rottenborn stands up in the afternoon to say "The witness said the sky is green". It doesn't matter what is said, how clearly, on video or voice or by someone sitting in the witness box, these people will say literally anything to serve their case.
I've never enjoyed a case more! I'm a legal assistant (44 years!) and I am so happy to have found you. Been watching with you for about 2 weeks. You add another layer to my life as a LA. Subscribed!
Found the channel because of the Scientology case and then I decided to finish watching the trial before watching the Netflix documentary because I wanted to be able to easily find the points of manipulation in the doc. Now I'm obsessed, I love how fair Emily is and how informative every stream is. A lot of times I either watch trials through the live feed channels or just wait for summary videos from a few lawyer channels because of how biased a lot of content can be so this view of analysing the case based on the information brought to court and not just pre-made opinions is amazing. Great job EDB
As someone who studies data analytics, I was surprised at how he pulled and cleaned data. Also the fact that he didn't look at other sources like Depps expert did. I was honestly confused about heards expert's testimony
We homeschool and funny enough, that’s one of our sophomore books. I think it went along with the book “What happened to Penny Candy” and a couple others. My son loved that bunch of books.
@@ColoradoMelody It was part of teaching critical thinking and how it’s important to not just believe everything you hear. This book was used as an example of how information/statistics can be unreliable and easily manipulated to fit one’s agendas not as an instructional book on how to lie with statistics. Lol. ETA: This was for a 15-16 year old studying Logic/critical thinking, Civics/Government and Economics… not an 8 year old.
Pisses me off they keep talking about JD's abuse, but never AH's alcohol/drug abuse. "He dont remember anything while on a bender" but she does after everything she consumed?
I understand there’s a video out there that shows AH literally crawling down a lane in an airport. Her eyes were sunken in, she was very, very skinny and obviously very, very high. The story is her drug use (specifically crack) is why her and Jason had no chemistry on the set of Aquaman.. idk if it’s still out there, but while I’m thinking about it, I may try to find it.
@@JeepnJesusFreak I saw a tik tok of someone describing that incident! Pretty sure she was Aussie (maybe from NZ) and it sounded wild yet incredibly believable
@BergenDev, exactly! I can understand why he doesn't remember things, it kinda makes sense that's how he is after his mixtures. Her sister said she had sunken in eyes and skinny-er but that could of also been due to her own drug/alcohol abuse? Come on, weed, Mushrooms, 2 bottles of wine a day and etc etc, she is in no way an angle when it comes to that particular subject.
Getting to see Johnny Depp as himself all day every day for weeks now, it's makes me want to teach him how to crochet and be friends. He is such a sweet bean
It seems to me that Heard's Lawyers assignment to their experts was "Go find a correlation that Waldman's statements harmed Heard's ability to earn Money" which means that their experts weren't looking any further than that very small window; whereas Depp's Lawyers gave their experts a larger assignment such as "go find the truth to this" which means the experts were able to research everything, not just a small window. Yay! Mark's is back. I left a comment on the previous video wondering if I could become an expert simply because I'd be willing to listen to gossip and testimony of previous employees and dodgy dealers. 😁 Mark's came back in this video and firmly told me no LOL!
Bania made me so happy bringing those numbers. I had my questions answered and I’m sure the jury did as well. These rebuttal witnesses have been amazing.
Emily!!! I've been with you since Tati. I found you when you appeared on Jen Luvs channel. At that time you were "blowing up" and had just hit 7,000!!!! I love you dearly woman! I'm so happy for your success!
Marx is easier to listen to because he is telling the truth and not having to think about his replies. Humans pick up other humans inadequacies very easily.
Sad for myself that this trial will soon be over, but happy for the parties. JD will hopefully be allowed some peace and to get back to his work, and hopefully AH will realize that she needs help and gets it. I really hope both parties can grow from this instead of letting it define their lives forever ☹️
I agree as well, but I hope JD can clean up a bit and be the productive amazing actor he has always been. I want only happiness and clarity for him always and will be sad for us all if he isn’t able to work again.
I rather think she'll have a complete meltdown, sue her lawyers next and/or find a tabloid to cry to how this trial was such abuse and the ruling (whatever it may be) completely unfair.
I've watched almost every minute of your coverage of this. I remember you hitting 100K and I am totally here for 500K. Well deserved, congrats!! You are one of my favorites to watch!!
AH’s attorneys calling her “Amber” every time they talk to damages occurred to her , and “Ms Heard” when talking about her career trajectory. Seems manipulative.
It's suppose to be. Subtle manipulation to influence the jury. I'd say that's probably one the least egregious things they've done to date. Good observation though.
I loved this Bania guy! I agree also Emily - I don't think Dr. Schnell is a bad guy or a bad witness. I think he wasn't asked to do a full thing and I don't think he was asked good questions. I think Dr. Schnell is a great professional, I was particularly impressed when he said he wasn't "for a side" but was completing a request and presenting information neutrally. That's exactly the kind of professional we want to see. Not experts that seem overly passionate and biased toward one side.
Congrats on 500k, Emily! Found you through the Tati v WOACB case! You deserve it for all your time and dedication for educating and entertaining all of us! Also, I wanna listen to sir Richard Marks all day. He sounds like an easy going grandpa and I wanna hear more about his endeavors in Hollywood
OMG I really appreciate how fast you added the timestamps! I missed the beggining of the trial this morning. You're the best!!! loving all your commentaries! Watching from Panama
I notice Ms. Heard's hair style is a viking braid, like she is a warrior. I feel that is very intentional. It sounds silly to think that, but she has done so many small things to mimic perceived power.
Clothing, hairstyles and makeup are all tools, so you're not wrong. Think of the AH testimony, she wore a white dress and sweater, that's to look much more vulnerable, more traditional. And every other day she wore a suit, to look powerful. The hair in an updo is to look more 'composed' or professional. Makeup in a more natural look makes her look less fake or vain, especially since bright red lipstick was more her signature as her makeup artist said.
Yep! Did you notice the bee earring after the whole “my dog stepped on a 🐝 “ testimony went viral and became a TikTok trend? You can’t tell me she doesn’t look online every single evening after court to see what everyone is saying

Me as a Nurse after watching 21 days of the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial so far. ‘What, if any, symptoms do you have?’ ‘What, if any, medical history do you have?’ ‘Do you recall…when your symptoms started?’ Reads ISOBAR back… ‘Did I read that correct?’ *Family member interjects ‘Objection, hearsay/relevance/lack of foundation’.
Emily - you're awesome! I wanted to be part of the 500K and just subscribed. I had really mixed feelings about JD at the time AH claimed abuse - at that point, I was like...oh yeah, yet another D-bag getting called out for being a D-bag. But, I had been impressed with JD's involvement in the West Memphis 3 case, which gave me pause as to the truth of the matter and I wanted answers. One night I went down the rabbit hole and was shocked to find the audio recordings and wow! I had no idea how much my thinking would change with respect to her claims since hearing the audio and obv. all the testimony in this trial. ANYWAY - thanks for what you're doing - I'm also ADHD and I'm a paralegal but in a much more "boring" area of insurance coverage. :)
@@ethansalimabean419 their turn is over and theyve completed all their evidance to prove their case. So because Depp sued first and ahe counter sued it went depps team, heards team and then depps team get to finish with rebuttal then they each have a closing statement before the jury deliberates for the tine needed yo reach a unanimous conclusion and wotk out damages should they choose to award them to whichever party they find for
Last witness testimony was a thing of beauty to behold! The precision of that partnership between lawyer and expert was gawd damned beautiful. Just set it up and knock it down ✊Really watching JD’s entire team work is so satisfying. They all have separate jobs/parts but their timing and flow are so synchronized and precise. Really. Just so purty 😻
I feel like the two to three people with microphones and bangers being super loud shouting for Amber when she arrived, are paid by her new PR firm. They only make noise when she arrives, to drown out the booing. And the stuff they say is so random lol. Anyone else agree?
She's slightly more comparable with Terrence Howard when he played James Rhodes on the first Ironman movie. He was a secondary character. He actually earned more than Robert downey Jr because of his previous pay. But then there was a conflict of agreement on his pay for the 2nd movie and he was having fights about other things and they replaced him. He then went into a tailspin and he's never got a big role again... she's not comparable with any of the other people they said
I swear to god, the longer this trial has gone on, the worse things have gone for Heards team, the more leeway the judge has been giving her team.... there have been multiple wtf moments over these last couple days of trial, but I've been trying to give it the benefit of the doubt.... now Depps surgeon gets called up, and Rottenbourn for some reason decides to depose him about photographs of the scene from the house.... with ZERO foundation for the line of questioning raised.... not only was it not covered in direct, but its completely outside the scope of his expertise!!?? Can anyone please tell me how that objection got overruled!!?? And lets not forget judge A. LITERALLY giving Elaine the answers!!?? Telling her how to word her question so she could get the answer she wanted out of her witness.... i about blew a blood vessle when that one went down... but holy bananas Congrats on 500K Em!! Lots of love and big hugs from Ohio!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

@@BooksRebound it is being speculated based off arrest records that Amber killed her friend in a car accident by driving under the influence. There are good theories for it such as her repeat offender status for DUI and her license suspension being 5 Years which typically only happens in DUI incidents with minors that result in death and the fact she had a friend die around that same time. Because it was a juvenile record, however, it was sealed when she became an adult.

I was surprised regarding an omission in negative AH social media comments. For years before the divorce op ed, 'media campaign' ad nauseam, You Tube has had daily posts with thumbnails saying 100 celebrities who hate Amber Heard. Actors who refuse to work with Amber Heard. There are thumbnails with same titles regarding other actors too. Those have been on UA-cam for years and we're never mentioned. Regarding AH and her break out roll ~ did you notice your surprise when her over 50 roles in past films surprised you? Did you say to yourself, "which part was she?" This is because AH has no chemistry on camera. She possesses no charisma and doesn't make her mark on film. She is cast as a pretty face and has never grown in talent or appeal. She is an empty person and the camera illustrates this. Like Gertrude Stein wrote about Oakland, California, "there is no there, there." To give credit where credit is due, AH has taught us, "never trust a chocolate on your pillow."
Exactly! I have eight places I stream from (Netflix, HBO, prime, Disney etc) and yesterday I typed in Amber Heard in all of them and they gave me every movie they have, that she was in. I seriously doubted both my own memory and the search engine, because I had seen all those movies but could not remember seeing her in any of them! She has the personality of a stone. Or, a stone has probably more than her. I do not understand how she got a role at all! Hollywood have literally millions others with more chemistry and personality than her. She isn’t charming, sexy, beautiful, or intelligent or funny, she is so plain, boring and grey. Will she get any roles after this?
I've been here since day 12 of the Depp Heard trial and I just cried when you hit 500,000. I have been telling everyone I know to watch you during this trial. Congratulations!
I like how she describes the huffing and puffing from Amber's lawyer as "petulant". That's the most perfect word to describe her team in general along with Heard herself lol
I don't have a lot of trial watching experience but I never heard an attorney CONTINUALLY fight back with judge after she has made her ruling. The judge is so cool about it too. Imagine if any lawyer did that during Rittenhouse. The guy would have stroked out right there on the bench.
I love your channel! As a person with ADHD, I find the way you speak about the law more digestible! I wish I would’ve found your channel before my business law & ethics and my law & society class ended because I was struggling.😂 I am here now, and you have gained a new subscriber.

I live in VA. I live in a county where there is not a regular assigned judge, local attorneys preside over smaller items like family law, traffic tickets. Etc. For larger cases. Murder, kidnapping, fraud, grand larceny. That would be circuit court that is randomly assigned to a lawyer of those qualified in the jurisdiction .
Can anyone explain how come DC film president Walter Hamada had his deposition in March 15th 2022, that means Amber's team including Rottenborn and Elaine know that Walter Hamada refuted Amber's claim that Johnny's lawsuit against her and Waldman's statements are the reasons she might lose her role, and that it's due to chemistry with JM. Since they know that in March 2022, how come they still insist on going with Amber's claim don't they already know those claims have been refuted anyway? Is Amber dictating them to do so?
Elaine was even more super specific about Aquaman. She said it was the biggest DC film ever from Warner Bros. Had to get that studio name mention in there.
DC president saying she was still under contract so she lost nothing. that was one of the moments from today that was interesting., counter-claim flimsy?
I'm starting to feel the weight of giving up my music to listen to this all day while I do stuff. I'm semi-invested though, and this trial has been interesting, entertaining, and educational. I almost wish I had watched the first half, and not come in just on AH being cross-bossed, but I am also glad I didn't spend all that time watching the entire first couple weeks. u_u But I am feeling lonely after 2 years of pandemic isolation and your voice is soothing to me. Watching these post-live at my own pace keeps the anxiety down.
@@hughmungus431 you're not very empathetic nor intelligent. It was and is a very contagious and dangerous disease and at the time we didn't know how to fight nor had a vaccine for.
I wasn't able to watch this live, but I have to say....this is Amber's fault that she's having this made public. If she wouldn't have counter sued for $100 Million, none of this would have been brought up. I can feel her embarrassment.
Well. If Dr. curry’s diagnosis is correct/accurate, then it would match her diagnosis of histrionic - for needing attention whether positive or negative
If amber had not files domestic violence restraining order in the first place, none of this would have happened, I like that AH started it all , over and over again for money and fame. I hope she likes what she gets.

Replay Crew: Having had my own teeny tiny experience with my own script in Hollywood, asking anyone in Hollywood why they would send an effusive complement to anyone is just a lack of understanding that Hollywood is a different world. Every second word is a compliment - it means nothing.
Regarding your comment during Hamadas Cross when Elaine asked if he had any conversations with Mamoa about lack of chemistry, answering being yes, and you comments "I wonder if the jury cares at this point. Its a dominantly young jury. Bet they're drinking up all the hollywood tea
The word "tort" comes from the French. It means "wrong". When the Normans invaded England in 1066, they brought their legal system and concomitant jargon with them. The word "legal" itself comes from the French. Other examples of words with French roots are court, judge, jury, defendant, claimant, appellant, plaintiff. trial, case, evidence, proof, rebuttal.
I can't begin to tell you how much I admire you. Your knowledge and your ability to explain what's happening and why. I love your spunk and down to earth manner!
Congrats on over 500k! You earned it doing what you do best, Emily. I love watching along with you so much more over cbs/fox etc. Thank you for dedicating your time! 💕
It's interesting to be so happy for and proud of a complete stranger (Been here since Week 3 of this trial), but so happy for you to have hit 500k subs!! Congrats!!
Richard Marx, Dr Curry and Isaac have to be my favourite witnesses and I have to throw in Dr Spiegal, because although he was terrible, it was so terrible it was fascinating. That cross exam was superb. That dry mouth moment was 😮😮😮 What if anything was going on with his mouth?
Sorry, AH’s team brought in the second doctor to try and recover from how badly Dr Hughes was received. And they got the most aggressive witness of the entire trial so far. He rubbed everyone the wrong way. And they spent so much time with him. I’m pretty sure that was supposed to be their mic drop moment, their big break, and it was just a Massive disaster.
Most interesting moment for me was how during Mr. Marks' testimony, AH couldn't even look at him. First time I've not seen her stare down someone on the stand.

Should JD's team be able to argue that JD is not responsible for the statements of Waldman because of the nature of the counsel/client relationship. Attorneys serve as legal counsel. They are expected to have expertise in law. They serve the law BEFORE they serve their client. Even if JD did authorize and direct his legal counsel to make those statements, unlike his legal counsel, JD cannot be expected to have expert knowledge defamation law and thus his legal counsel could be considered remiss in his responsibility to properly advise his client. No? In other words, why didn't they argue that Waldman, as a legal representative of JD, is responsible for protecting his client from the possibility of legal action for defamation?
Another funny thing about this is how the standard super hero movies they are referring to is “Marvel” and not “DC”. It also goes to show that even being in the highest grossing DC film is nothing compared to being in an average Marvel film.

If Amber argues that Johnny is responsible for his attorney’s words, shouldn’t she also have to concede that anything her lawyers shared with TMZ about her is her responsibility, even if she didn’t directly share it? 🤣
OMG, I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT!!! SHE AND HER LEGAL TEAM SHOVED THEIR FEET IN THEIR OWN MOUTHS!! 🤣🤣
You would think unfortunately the law does not function on logic
same for the money stuff, the same witness said johnny can't use future Pirates losses in his claim, but somehow Amber can use future Aquaman and the next 5 years of potential movie roles as a losses, absolute nonsense

Shout-out to everyone else who's become the annoying "Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial update" person thanks to Emily's entertaining and accessible commentary.
Less annoying, more “My friends tag me in things to fact-check and explain wtf happened” based on Emily’s amazing explanations

Probably has a higher degree of education than her teacher now lmao

ignoring all the different camps for Johnny & Amber, I actually appreciate the judge's patience and fairness in every ruling and every comment, I would want her to be a role model for smaller court judges as well.
So true, great comment.
I say she deserves a shot at the Supreme Court!
Yeah, she's great. I really admire her.

I've caught myself doing it in classes, and I have a student misconduct investigation later that I suspect will feature it too.
I was wondering if Amber's team accidentally got one of the patients instead of the actual psychiatrist. If he was my doctor, I'm fairly sure that I would be leaving sessions with him more messed up than before I went in.

Attorney Richard Marx is 100% accurate about how it works. I've worked 25+ years in the industry and he describes it the way it truly works.
I agree. Politicians pay people for the same services, it plays VERY poorly to the viewer, it FEELS fake.
Which industry? Law or entertainment?
@@vva3002 Both. I work for someone who does what Richard Marx does.
@@bereasonable8018 interesting. I have a background in the entertainment industry. Both sides are pretty much blacklisted because of liability , regardless of who is right or wrong.
I think you are confused here, a very big movie star can have a very small role in a movie.

YT disgusts me in what it has become with the me, me, me crowd vying for our attentions as opposed to what it could have become (so much more)
Wow. That Warner Bros DC CEO’s testimony is gold. ✨

I can’t get enough of Richard Marx- he is so engaging l could listen to him for hours!!! His confidence is very convincing!!! Love him!!!

I think Amber needs psychiatric help. I pray she gets it. I'd say she has a lot of soul searching to do but I don't think she would even know how. She is completely self unaware.
I honestly feel like she is aware, she just doesn't care. There is no soul to search, sadly.
well she definitely ought not go to the creepy Dr from yesterday
She doesn’t want help, she probably doesn’t think she needs it… I feel like good people feel sympathy for her not realising that some people just can’t be saved.
No funny business. She should really enlist Dr. Curry. She has the capacity to properly treat her. However, I believe it highly unlikely for Amber to seek her out for treatment because she understands fully that Dr. Curry see through her. Amber also comes across to have envy in the face of this, that she sees through her mental dilemma. 🤷🏾♀️

AH’s attorneys calling her “Amber” every time they talk to damages occurred to her , and “Ms Heard” when talking about her career trajectory. Seems manipulative.
I mean, lawyers kinda have to be manipulative to some extent.
That's their job in fairness though.
I notice Ms. Heard's hair style is a viking braid, like she is a warrior. I feel that is very intentional. It sounds silly to think that, but she has done so many small things to mimic perceived power.
Also it’s a “Business” look. it is an up-do making her look like she’s professional and reliable…. Smh 😒

Yep, watching again. Strange watching AH take notes, knowing now that she wasn't actually putting pen to paper.
I was shocked they rested! This rebuttal is killing all their witnesses!
I'm new to all of this.. what does it imply that they rest? Thanks!

Can't blame them for trying....
I agree! I also thought yesterday’s stunt with the woman and baby was aimed at JD. AH really is tragic. In a very unsympathetic way,IMO.
@@lefthome3191 they are being paid, they have sold their souls to demons.
Where do you find footage of them arriving at court?
@@ccsullivan9164 The lady with the baby stood outside all night waiting in the line, which was filmed live by DUI guy lol
He then went into a tailspin and he's never got a big role again... she's not comparable with any of the other people they said
I imagine the appreciation JD has for the support he has from his team and his witnesses.
Very professional witness. Very credible. Easy to listen to.
Mr. Chew does ague the law very well! He is calm and prepared, I just love this.

Walter hamada just cleared any shred of doubt regarding "precipice of ultimate career"
Id like to hear from Taysia Van Ree, Amber Heards Catholic school high school principal, and Director Bruce Robinson of the Rum Diarys. Also, the ACLU writer who had nightmares in regard to Amber publishing the Op-Ed incriminating Johnny Depp.
Omg an ACLU writer had nightmares from Op-Ed???!
@@Kattttttz My exact reaction. Shit, now I have to look that up, too. This has become a much more time consuming rabbit hole than I expected. (Sigh...)
@@Kattttttz Yep, the ACLU guy who testified mentioned it. (Edit: tbh, I don’t remember if it was a writer but someone from ACLU had nightmares about it) I think it might’ve been mentioned in email evidence

Did you say to yourself, "which part was she?"
This is because AH has no chemistry on camera. She possesses no charisma and doesn't make her mark on film.
She is cast as a pretty face and has never grown in talent or appeal.
She is an empty person and the camera illustrates this.
Like Gertrude Stein wrote about Oakland, California, "there is no there, there."
To give credit where credit is due, AH has taught us, "never trust a chocolate on your pillow."
@@sandcastle2069 She will be too busy suing Elon Musk for child support...and she still has more embryos she can fill surrogates with.

Ben Chew laughing about lawyers not being at the whims of their clients made me giggle. The SHADE!
The lady lawyer that just did the questioning was also VERY Good......
i’m IN LOVE with Richard Marks hes a savage
I wasn't able to watch this live, but I have to say....this is Amber's fault that she's having this made public. If she wouldn't have counter sued for $100 Million, none of this would have been brought up. I can feel her embarrassment.
She dont have the money, so she had to counter.
Well. If Dr. curry’s diagnosis is correct/accurate, then it would match her diagnosis of histrionic - for needing attention whether positive or negative
In not sure she's able to feel, what should be, her own embarrassment.

"She goes by one name!" !!!!!! ** SNAPS SNAPS ** Love it!!
Thank you for sharing. 👍🏻
And as the French language is a Neo-Latin language, those words actually derived from the Romans. I suffered a lot to learn Latin as a teenager...

I think I found this channel because Omegon mentioned you. I watched half this trial through live feeds, but I got hooked on your commentary
They bring in a new expert because the first one was so badly received... that backfired.
what do you mean ?
You mean JD team or the Heard team?
