“Tell the world, Johnny Depp, tell them, I, Johnny Depp, a man, I am a victim too of domestic violence, and see how many people believe or side with you.” That he did, and not only did almost every single person believe him, but so did the jury. Justice served.
He did as she said ❤️ and now she’s not feeling it lol but she’s not happy with herself and her own personality is a flawed person. Now we saw the truth🙏🏼 and the whole story - are the most important things!!
No, Amber, this verdict is not a “setback”. It is a giant leap forward for all abuse victims. DV/SA survivors of all ages & genders are lifted up by this verdict. Thank you, Johnny & team!!!
I was literally having this conversation. This was a win for me personally for 13 years abused and gaslighted and made to feel like I was in the wrong or that I was that bad person in the relationship when I responded with violence after I had been slammed in walls. This was a win for me and validation. An amazing team to take on such a horrible person.
I actually agree that it is a setback, but not in the way that she thinks. It's a setback for actual victims of IPV, women and men. Beacuse of her, actual victims will now fear to come forward. But non the less, i'm super happy that Johnny essentially has gotten his name cleared
She sorta did suffer the culture's wrath by speaking out. However, it's now proven that what she "spoke" about was lies, so for the most part the wrath is justified. Obviously that wrath should never go as far as death threats and the like, but getting chastised by the world when you say dumb shit is exactly how freedom of speech is supposed to work, and getting sued when you knowingly say false shit to quantifiably hurt someone is how the law is supposed to work. Wrath indeed.
Nonsense she gained praise from our culture not wrath when she lied about being a victim. She still won't get wrath from msm, they will double down with her.
She didn't suffer the culture's wrath rather it was Johnny who suffered. When she first came out with these accusations almost everybody supported her, including the media. Things only changed when the truth began to come out and people could see she was clearly lying. She faced the culture's wrath for lying, for trying to destroy someone's life.
I was crying because his team believed HIM! Abuse is about power and not gender. I am sooooo happy! As an actual victim, male victim, thank you for believing in a man. Thx Depp’s team ❤ Thx
I’m so grateful that this case proves to the world that men are also abused, and by women. The world has never supported men talking about their pain, emotions, etc. The societal toxic masculinity of “Boys don’t cry” has done great damage to generations of men. Millions of men have suffered silently and don’t feel supported enough to seek help for the mental anguish caused by abuse. That hurts my heart. Everyone deserves healing. Healing is necessary for all who are in pain. This trial proves that men are victims too. And they deserve to be heard & supported. The idea that abusers are always bigger, taller & stronger than the victim is not always true. I’m sorry you experienced such pain. I am a survivor also, but I am a woman. I can’t imagine my journey to healing if I were male. I don’t know if I would have the confidence to seek a therapist or even just share my story with a friend, if I grew up with the mentality of the toxic masculinity of ‘boys don’t cry’. I hope you find healing, you deserve to find joy & to live without constant pain. Hope you have a wonderful day. Blessed be.
I hope you’re doing amazing now!! I know so many men who’ve been abused and either don’t realize it or refuse to talk about it. I hope this case changes that ❤️
I’m from England and it’s getting on my last nerve that Amber and her team keep saying “ They won in the UK “ Amber was a witness for the Sun newspaper she wasn’t being sued. The Sun is only bought for page 3. Rant over x Love you channel xxx
I was married to a very narcissistic and abusive woman, my heart is pouring out for this man. This whole journey has given a voice to thousands of men that suffer in silence, too ashamed to speak out. God bless you Johnny Depp!
Andrew I grew up in a household with a mother like that. It was “normal” to me until I was in my teens and seen/experienced differently in friends homes. I don’t wish these things on anyone. I hope you are doing better now. The best revenge is being a great success! Best regards
Watching and hearing what feminists have said and are saying about this has been very eye opening. There were 2 prominent faces of the new wave feminist movement I really respected that I have heard with my own ears laugh and mock Johnny Depp being referred to as a victim of DV. 1 of them went as far to say Depp abusing Heard is very different then Heard (allegedly, her words not mine) abusing Depp. Shameful. I have lost respect for so many people during this trial, and none of them have been involved in this case directly.
Amber didn’t look at the jury because she spent all that energy pandering to them, and in her distorted thinking, they’ve “betrayed” her. She will take this so personally.
I agree. I hope Amber can get the treatment that she needs to get well so that she can live a happy and healthy life. I wish them both peace , health, and happiness.
I so respect comments like yours - I'm actually not a huge fan of Depp's side (not that I think she's better) but comments like yours are fair and have integrity. I am seeing a lot of commentators who are forgetting where lines are, as if you can't criticize Amber without using language that can end up harming other victims.
@@GoblinsAreAGirlsBestFriend thank you for the kind words. I agree with you too . I think about the childhood trauma both of them have gone through and I have compassion for both of them because i don't wish that kind of pain on anyone. My wish for them is healing. I hope they can find peace with the past, forgive themselves for their past mistakes, & learn to love and respect themselves for who they are. Everyone deserves to find their happiness.
As a Brit, I can say that 1. It is difficult to prove libel in the U.K. 2. The judge was heavily criticised after the trial. 3. The majority of the public believed Jonny Depp after the trial. 4. The public as a whole felt that Jonny Depp should have won the U.K. trial. 5. Jonny has been playing gigs in the U.K. and that is probably why he is not in court in the USA today.
There's also the obvious issue of The Sun publishing a 2nd hand statement based on evidence they felt were convincing enough. Amber's testimony in this case displayed how she didnt even believe her story, considering how often she had to change it, to fit reality.
Same here- I don't even watch trial movies. But this was a wild ride. Didn't watch the entire time, but just highlights and last few days. I will always remember Camile's powerful speaches and many funny witnesses - like JD's bodyguard who commented he would remember seeing his P**** or the mad scientist Dr. Spiegel - he was the most entertaining part. I think he returned to his timeline using 1.21 Gigawatts of power lol. I hornestly think the characters were better than in many Netflix shows.
Exactly! A tv attorney anchor just had conversation about this! So now I’m wondering… how to make her keep her mouth shut? I can see her spreading these lies forever.
No, saying the jury was wrong is not defamation, that's opinion, but if she again says Depp sexually assaulted her it would indeed be defamation, so she has to keep her lying mouth shut.
My absolute fav moment apart from obviously Johnny winning is Camile turning to her colleagues after the verdict was read and the jury confirmed and mouthing " he won" :) Best legal team ever!!!!
I feel she is far more manipulative than that. She may have turned up in court knowing she has a real chance of losing, but wanted to be there so that she could get the first word in about how the verdict had wronged her.
She had no proof on her side. She believes she is a pretty blonde white woman who after being sued had to come up with a story as to why her statement weren’t defamatory. She just took it too far. With being severely beaten in the face with heavy rings and fists but no pictures? Running to the bathroom with blood steaming down her face but never looked in the mirror at herself and again no pictures. Beaten severely in the back and showing up the next day in a backless dress and again no pictures. Just some pics of barely there bruises taken after she realized oh crap I’m being sued I need proof of what I claim. I took a picture of every severe beating. I didn’t show anyone but I took the pictures and hid them away. Like most dv victims do. She just thought she would say anything and the MeToo movement would make her believable. But even victims didn’t believe her.
Yes she was !! She thought she will come and win. I don't think she will understand the real world, as hers is the truth. That's' why everyone is wrong and she is right. She is not pretending anything, it is exactly the way she thinks and is ! Creepy. She needs help.
@@mesmioches5 I agree with you 100%. Her reality is so different than that of the rest of us. She believes her own lies and has likely been successful at manipulating everyone around her all her life….until now. She genuinely believes that her warped, self-serving view of the world around her is truth.
I feel such an intense relief as a survivor of DV myself. I've never stood by "believe all women", because it alienates male victims when they're already so fucked over by society. Make male victims heard! Maybe now they will have a stronger foot to stand on. Justice was served today.
I remember getting so much shit whenever I would ask "what about male victims?" I would get bombarded by the "they get paid more" "they're the ones in power" "men can't be abused" arguments and it made me sick coming from a family where my own father was abused by my mother.
@@PsychadelicWolf I was a female victim _afraid_ of coming out during MeToo because my abuser was a woman. I really believed that because women as victims was being presented everywhere in the media, people wouldn't believe that a woman could be abusive.
@@PsychadelicWolf yeah, it's the same argument as "black people can't be racist." Why are we alienating anyone??? It's 2022. ANYONE regardless of race or gender can be a victim of DV.
Well, her words were “Tell the world Johnny ..and see if they believe you…” Well he did and we did believe you! This speaks volumes for all who suffer from domestic violence regardless if you are male or female deserve justice! Justice prevailed YES!
I want to thank Amber for showing that women can be just as abusive as a man. Hopefully by Mr. Depp speaking out about his abuse from his wife, other men will come forward without being shamed and made fun of. It takes courage to come forward. It doesn't matter your gender or your sexual preference. And women who commit DV should be arrested, prosecuted and if found guilty, jailed. Just because it's a woman, doesn't mean she shouldn't be punished. Women want to be treated equally, ok then they need to be held accountable when they commit DV same as a man. I'm a woman and I've witnessed women who lied about being abused by a man and the damage it caused that man. Amber was lucky Johnny never had her arrested for hitting him. IMO I find her unstable, vindictive and dangerous to anyone she has a intimate relationship with unless she receives help.
I noticed she wasn't smirking when the verdict was read... So relieved that justice was served and that not only did Johnny get his truth out, but that the world and the jury listened and acknowledged it to be true!
This felt like a step forward as opposed to a set back. Being wrongly accused of horrific crimes and abuse toward someone you care about is wrong no matter who the victim is. What a ride.
I agree. To me as a woman, this is a step forward for all abuse victims equally. The pain and humiliation of not being able to speak up abt abuse is as much someone's pain as not being able to defend oneself from gaslighting and false accusation, especially as a public figure. Anyone who sees this as a setback should rid off traditional misconception where women are ALWAYS the victim. Women and men can both equally be victims and people shouldn't be categorized into abuser and abused simply by gender stereotypes just from hearsay (hello Dr Hughes). I'm grateful that this trial highlights how society has been conditioned to accept things told to us.
Being wrongly accused of abuse when you were actually the abuse victim at that. Over a year later and I still can't wrap my head around someone doing the things Amber did to someone she allegedly loved.
For me the audio recording of her admitting to hitting him was the other biggest blow. And he said, "Don't tell me what it feels like to be punched" and she had no reply to that. If he had punched her, she would have immediately replied, "I know EXACTLY how it feels!" or "You've hit me plenty of times" etc
Defamation is not protected! That's literally the same thing I said when he started to change the narrative to "free speech". Here's what people don't understand when it comes to free speech...you can say what you want, but you ALSO reap the benefits or consequences of what you said.
Do people realize how incredible it is that Johnny won on all his counts!!!!! They BELIEVED A MAN. !!!!!!! The likelihood of this happening is very very small. Simply BC she’s a woman. No one really believed JD WOULD WIN. WHAT AN ECSTATIC VERDICT !!!!
Honestly, I DID BELIEVE JOHNNY WOULD PREVAIL!! I REALLY COULDN'T SEE THE JURY MAKING A MISTAKE FOR THIS JUSTICE THAT WAS NECESSARY FOR JOHNNY!! SOOO HAPPY IT'S FINALLY GOING ON THIS ROAD FOR RECOVERY AND HIS LIFE TO MEND FOR THE BETTER!! THANK YOU LORD!!!
I was waiting all day long really worried that johnny might lose, but i was pleasently surprised with the verdict. Jury really represented the court of public. The truth is out!
To all survivors: Tell the world. Tell them your story. Your story is true, and it is enough on its own. Tell the world, because when it's real, it's real. Tell the world, because Johnny's verdict is for you, too. You are enough. You don't need to lie like Amber did. Law & Lumber said it best: you are not Amber Heard. You are Johnny Depp. 💙 Peace and blessings to all.
I've watched your reaction to the full verdict about 6 times now, and the part that resonates with me the most is after count 3, you gasp and say "They swept it. They don't believe her at all." It's like the actual culmination, the actual *realization* that Johnny did what he came to do, regardless OF the verdict and its legal technicalities, but to get the truth out and expose Amber for who and what she is. She dared him to tell the world, and he did. Thank you for being such a calming and educational voice throughout this circus.
Johnny’s team hugging after the verdict was heartwarming. They seem like sweet people who really care about Johnny and getting the TRUTH out. So happy for Johnny
@@dylankennedy6020 me too, I’ve come to really enjoy observing them during these weeks. I’m glad it’s over for the parties involved but those two have been so great to watch!
I watched this live with my fellow law nerds. I remember shaking and crying and then sobbing from the first yes. Glad I shared this experience with you all 💜
Girl me too lol. I came home for lunch and my sister and I were like they need to hurry up!!! I started clapping after the first yes like my favorite soccer team had scored
Saaaaaame I audibly gasped in my office when they read the monetary damages and then I went to talk to my coworkers downstairs about it, they were also listening to the verdict 😂
In case you’re still here, Dr. Curry, just want to let you know “You’ve got a fan in me.” Kudos for JD’s team for having managed their time well that I got to see you at rebuttal. You were thorough, eloquent with very organized and relevant content. You were also very composed. MORE POWER TO YOU!
Dr. Curry was wonderful - intelligent, passionate and informed about psychology, empathic, a compelling communicator, and beautiful to boot. She’s the complete package!
This is a wake up call for AH. Sadly, she’s choosing to stay asleep in serious denial. More importantly, this is a wake up call for the world to listen to all people. Trust but always confirm the truth through authentic evidence. Innocent until proven guilty. Thankfully, justice for Johnny was achieved!
Some will chose to stay asleep, eyes closed 👁🙅♀️ and stay in the room of their own head. But deer, some people who are not happy with their own and the other person is just a good person 🙏🥰
Everybody was wrong according to her. And now the jury and the legal system in the US too are wrong (since she mentions winning in the UK, implying they had the correct verdict).
Today is World Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day. Well-played Universe. 🙌 It needs to be mentioned that Camille is believable, personable, professional and classy. She naturally exudes these qualities and her stance for truth and justice quite literally out-shown Miss Heard consistently. Camille’s cross really highlighted the kind of character that Miss Heard is and the lengths she will go in real time to misrepresent the truth. Having Camille’s brilliance on Depp’s legal team really sealed the victory in my opinion. Justice has been served. Mega pints all around.🍻
Ugh. Her IG response. Everyone has the right to speak out against real abuse. This is not setting back women. It is actually helping everyone know that they can speak up against things that are untrue. You don’t have to sit back and let someone defame you.
Lmao note how she said women and not abuse victims or abused women 🤣 it's deffinitely bad for women like her who just wanted to get more money out of their divorce settlement 🤣
She’s the literally meaning of actually setback lying about DV under oath. This is exactly why ppl find it hard to believe in some women bc of these sort of lies.
@@marccragg3594 We must ask, when one is in a lie ,they don’t think they can be a little bit more than the other person. It’s just for the reason why we can’t believe it! 🐸🙏
@putalawea equisde that was the point. She lied. She was the abuser. Yes she SHOULD be in jail but the statute of limitations for criminal charges was already up by the time she wrote the op-ed. This civil suit was his only legal recourse to hold her accountable in any way.
@putalawea equisde defamation isn't a crime punishable by jail time though. It's something that has to be settled in civil court, and the punishment for it is financial liability; Johnny would not have been sent to jail if the roles were reversed. For either of them to go to jail, they'd have to be charged criminally by the relevant jurisdictions, which I doubt would happen at this point.
she's worthless and millions of people explained in great detail WHY she's worthless. (is she fair? Sure. is she calm? sure. SO WHAT? She doesn't know jack about LAW!) EX: VA can't legally cap Punitive Damages at $350K and even a law student knows this, 400 DIFFERENT WAYS! EX: that UNCONSTITUTIONAL law was WRITTEN BY FRAUDULENT POLITICIANS who were trying to LIMIT JUSTICE bc that's what right wing pols do! EX: 14th Amendment EQUAL PROTECTION clause says ppl in VA get the SAME Punitive damages as ppl in OTHER STATES, aka MILLIONS. Ever notice we critics are 99% MORE SPECIFIC than this judge? Guess why.
I’m still dealing with my own trauma as a SA survivor. The timeliness of this case was remarkable. I’m still processing and healing. When I’m struggling I come back and watch this.❤
They can't possibly keep her on as a representative for them. A huge mistake. They already damaged their reputation in the testimony that was given After hearing it I would never contribute to them.
@@rydbthatsme True, however there is nuance to the verdict. Did you see how many things they said yes to on Amber being defamatory than that of Johnny's. Did you see how much they rewarded Johnny compared to Amber. It's very clear who they believed.
@@rydbthatsme Nope, the verdict is that AH could not prove that JD had abused her on all three points, and JD couldnt prove that Aldman's statement about the spilled wine was not defamatory. JD could however prove that the sexual abuse hoax was in fact a hoax, hence why the statement wasnt defamatory. so no, they didnt win both of them.
i love this judge. former marine-corps war vet and someone deeply committed to using the law to try and help the social ill of ptsd-suffering vets turning to crime.
I find it poetic that closing statements happened exactly 6 years after she walked into court and obtained the order of protection which started it all.
Ty! ❤️ I’m a survivor of DV and SA during my childhood. Ur comment choked me up bc I didn’t tell what happened to me until I was in my late 20’s and 3 suicide attempts later. It hurt too much and I was too scared for a very long time to tell what happened.
Emily- I am a lawyer in Canada. I have lost many of my collegial relationships during covid. It was so amazing to spend these 6 + weeks with you over this trial. Took me back to my days at in person court when we would discuss cases with colleagues on breaks. I have felt less alone with you during this case in which neither of us has a counsel role.
I love that Depp's legal team didn't attack Heard in their verdict statement and said it's time to turn the page and look to the future. Like saying, it's over now, the truth won, Depp has his life back, no need to be attacking or bullying Amber and her family.
She won 1 count, but none of the ones referencing the abuse allegations being a hoax. They gave her the one about calling the police. Whatever reason the jury had for it, I think it also eliminates the potential attack of the jury decision as being biased.
I think it was also done to suggest lack of bias,so if she tries to appeal she has no chance of winning as the one count for her proves that the decision was fully considered.
That count said that she conspired with other folks and perhaps the jury was not willing to accuse the others (friends, PR, lawyer) of doing that. Her alone is one thing, but the other people adds another layer. IMHO
Yeah we can speculate. You can say the jury thought he wasn't without blame in all of this and wanted to show that. You can say they wanted to show their lack of bias. You can say they genuinely did not think their friends conspired to call the police (but instead they truly believed her). Or maybe one juror was on the fence and this was a compromise to reach a decision. No idea, really, but having watched the trial - I'm happy to see justice prevailed.
Camille Vasquez got PARTNERSHIP ✊🏽!!!! 💯 So WELL DESERVED Miss Camille! You did JOHNNY a GREAT JUSTICE with your legal work! 💪🏽 Emily, you're so smart educating us on legal terms that we ALL greatly appreciate! 🙏 God bless you ALL....
Hooray!! This is a big win for men who experience domestic violence and will warn women to not lie or manipulate the facts. I am a dv survivor and women like this young woman(AH) hurt those of us who actually were damaged by dv and also did harm to the MeToo movement. I sincerely hope she gets help. Revenge and selfishness are never a good look.
Exactly men as well as women can experience DA and SA. I truly believe that. And in this case anyone who has two eyes and a brain in between can see right through Amber. She was awful
I don’t think it’s necessarily inaccurate to announce the $15 mil win for JD, since the $5 mil punitive award is important in understanding the degree to which the jury was unhappy with AH’s actions. Speaking for myself, I know enough to understand that JD was never going to get a $15 million dollar check. It’s useful to know that there’s a cap, but the $5 mil is satisfying, nonetheless.
It’s so weird that this is officially over! It’s been a big part of my everyday life for 6 weeks!! Lol I’m so glad that it all fell in Johnny’s favor. I hope he is able to move forward with a new lease on life! (And hopefully some new movie projects to give us all!!!) I also hope Amber is able to take this entire thing and funnel it into bettering herself. Into helping to fix whatever is inside her that led to this. And I hope that all the innocent bystanders who were sucked into this can breathe again! It would be great for this to be a new beginning for EVERYBODY. ❤️❤️
The one thing that Johnny Depp wanted was to have his name cleared. It is my belief that it wasn't necessarily the money as it was to get his name back and his reputation. I hope that Disney will see what they've done in the damage they have done I believe a bunch of lies that were put out by Amber Heard in the media. I think they've made a grave mistake and cutting him from pirates of the Caribbean. That is reputation is back now so it don't matter what Disney thinks.
Johnny's torment is finally over. I'm so happy that he got the justice he so rightfully deserved after all this time. What Amber put him through was horrible. I never believed a single word that came out of her mouth. She is a terrible person and should feel bad for what she has done. Her career is over and she has nobody to blame but herself.
Emily, as a survivor and thriver following a 23 yr DV relationship, I want to say thank you personally, for your compassion and for throwing yourself, selflessly, into walking us compassionately, throughout this trial. I also want to extend the thanks to your wonderful supportive husband Dr B, and your beautiful children, for allowing us to borrow you for a whole six weeks, for this trial. Sending love and blessings to you Emily and everyone here, Janice from England ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
Camille, yes she is a force of nature, no words can adequately describe her skills as a lawyer, she is beyond fantastic and takes no prisoners! But, I would like to give three cheers for Ben Chew, what a brilliant boss. He has built a great team ethos and has total faith in each member of his staff and utilises their skills and strengths and has great respect for every member of that team. He has such admiration and appreciation for his staff and it is obvious that he loves his job and gets really excited when the team scores points. He had a laser like focus on AH whenever she was on the witness stand and if she said something different from what she said on previous occasions or told a lie, he passed information to his staff and let them get on with their individual contributions. The world would be a much better place if all bosses were like Ben Chew.
I absolutely, totally agree . They were such a professional team and each knew their role. Camille - wow , just wow . I loved it best when she just laboured the point that ‘ no one showed up for you Amber and yet so many showed up for Johnny.’ , which was so true . Congratulations to Ben Chew and your awesome team 👏👏👏👏
I am so happy that he brought this case, and won. As a man, as Amber said, it must be difficult to be heard and believed as a victim - but I think this trial has proven not only the defamation but also the abuse. I feel proud and so happy for him. 👏🏻
It’s a wonderful moment. His bravery in standing up to his abuser - and defeating her - is so, so rare. Most of us are broken after abuse and do not have the physical or mental strength to fight back. He’s remarkable and justice is truly his, truly deserved!
I'm so glad they reached unanimous agreement. We all saw the evidence, and listened to all the testimonies. We all watched in shock as she changed her story, and attempted to fabricate evidence. Well done to the Jury for being objective and making the only verdict they reasonably could have.
I agree that judge Penny was totally honorable , respectful and VERY VERY FAIR ! Top notch professionalism ! Really outstanding . And also a shout-out & ALL DUE RESPECT to you for all your coverage , insight & explanation of everything in this case and all your breakdowns and simply just being unapologetically you . I was nervous for the last couple days because I wasn’t sure if the jury would agree with the court of public opinion. I’m glad to see Johnny was believed by the jurors.
From now on, let AH be known only for being the public face of female abusers. Johnny is the face of male victims, he will give countless men the courage to speak up. His sacrifice will give many their voices back! The Jury came to all the right conclusions! Justice served 🍾
I hope those male victims feel they can speak up, and I hope they will take the hands of the countless children women like Amber abuse. I hope that fathers who leave women like Amber will have more choice than to leave their children behind. I hope society stops telling the abused children that their abusers are right when they tell them no-one will believe them because "all mothers love their children" and women cannot be abusers.
@@ellie-tk4jy she is a victim of her own rage not of DV. There is only so much a person can take before they lose their cool. Yes Johnny said disgusting things to her and about her, but wouldn’t you if someone you loved not only beat you but also betrayed you in every way possible? I have no doubt Johnny tried to restrain her and push her away in self defence. Again, wouldn’t you if someone was trying to hit you or prevent you from leaving to safety? She drove him to severe substance abuse which she then used as a way to gaslight him and others to thinking he was an abusive monster. His life spiralled downward once he met her. Let’s hope they both learn and move on and if AH ever abuses another person, she is treated like ALL abusers should be treated, criminally charged and held to account. She got away with it this time, but her acting career will be over for the most part.
Crying @ the Depp team hugging and smiling 😭😭😭. Didn't even expect to get choked up but it hit me like a ton of bricks! There's soooo much emotional investment for us watching in our free time so I can't imagine how intense this was for both sides but especially Johnny's.. such an awesome group of people.
If there was ever a shred left in me that thought MSM was still worth watching, it's gone. MSM saying this verdict is a set back for women is disgusting. I think the judge and the jury did an excellent job and were diligent and fair.
Thanks to this case it made me aware of how they twist stories and lie. Never again. But in defense of a couple there are some who are speaking the truth like Megyn Kelly and I'm sure there are some that probably don't want to lose their jobs
Amen. Its really gross and I've lost all trust. Not the first time I've seen them do this type of crap, but its firmly cemented my complete distrust. Time and again its lies of omission and lack of relevant context. Its infuriating.
AH is so ridiculous. She just got out of court for defaming Johnny and what does she do as soon as she’s let out?? She takes to Twitter and does the same thing she just got in trouble for, again! 🙄 girl, stop!! Has she seriously still not learned??? I’m so happy for Johnny! I hope he continues to bless us with many, many movies for many years to come! 🥰
SHe's a LITERAL SOCIOPATH. DIdn't you hear Dr. Curry? Didn't you hear AMBER? Reality doesn't matter to her. I dated a girl nearly identical to this monster.
@@yuisou5041 her spin of the story anyway. She’s so pretty on the outside but soooo so ugly of a person on the inside. Maybe she needs to get put on meds to make her stable and able to think straight? 🤷🏻♀️
I'm honestly shocked that Amber went to the court for the verdict. It must have been another client-led decision? I would not have advised her to attend with how high profile the case is.
This goes to show the vast difference in Johnny and Amber's character!! She would have wanted every penny and more if it was her win!! That is very telling and what a decent man Johnny is!! Gotta love him!!! She needs help AND JAIL TIME STILL FOR PERJURY!!
I love how the KEY ISSUE was not the supposed abuse she experienced but "freedom of speach". Clearly shows she cared much more about winning and not "getting justice for the abuse she experienced". As someone who has experienced abuse. I am disgusted that there are still people defending her or even believing her to begin with...
Watching this I was happy that JD won. I don’t know I’m the only one who noticed this but it was the only time in 6 weeks that she genuinely looked upset. To late honey if only you told the truth and took responsibility. 🙄
As a person whose parents are/were both “Cluster B” (BPD and NPD) I can say - in my experience - that for them there is no such thing as “learning a lesson” or stopping the bad behavior just because a silly little court of law has suggested you were wrong. They are never wrong. They will never stop. Whether there will be additional legal involvement is not something I can speculate but I can guarantee that AH isn’t “done” by any stretch of the imagination. One can only hope she’s done with JD. As for anyone who goes into a relationship with her after this - s/he deserves whatever s/he gets. Run. Run like the wind! Veritas numquam perit.
victim of a narcissist parent---they truly think they're above the law or at least that they have a GOOD reason why it doesnt apply to them. I genuinely think Amber genuinely thinks shes a victim, she's so deep in her delusion that nothing will satisfy her unless its EXACTLY what she wants. The fact that she couldnt even acknowledge she won on ONE count, while Depp said he was "humbled" to have won all 3 tells me a LOT. I doubt she's done with him but I'm hopeful he's able to deal with that now that he knows so many stand with him...I hope the jury is protected once the year on the records is up.
Same thing here. Both parents were Cluster B, with my mom being a very toxic narcissist. This trial reminded me so much of my parents divorce case, which set records locally for the longest running divorce case. They almost had to call in a jury. The similarities between Amber and my mom were eerie. Dear God, I pray SOMEONE else gets that child from her. That child is going to be so screwed up from the constant mind games and abuse. These toxic personality types truly believe that what they say is the truth, yet they can be very manipulative in ways that are blatantly obvious she knows exactly what she's doing. They will justify their behavior, no matter how horrid it is. Amber will play the victim for the rest of her life. She will continue to slander JD for the rest of her life, and will make up new stories about what transpired for years to come. Atleast that's my experience. 35 years later, my mom is STILL making up stories that we've proved to be false. I'm 50 years old....50!... yet she still plays the battered victim because we want to have contact with our dad. He's got his own issues too, but atleast he didn't sleep with a few of my friends.... in high school... like she did. If you've never had personal experience with these toxic personality types, count your blessings, because they absolutely wreak havoc in the lives of others around them. Mind you.... some people with Cluster B disorders are not as toxic. It's the ones that are delusional and in denial about their issues that you have to watch out for. 🏃♀️ Run!! Run away as fast as you can!
@@alikatts323 - 100%! Rational people often think, “No one would do THAT, especially someone’s mother!” But the sad truth is that’s what the abuser COUNTS on. Amber Heard spent the whole six weeks staring into the jury as though they were a mirror, today she looked at them, and the Jury finally showed us the true Amber Heard,. They do say a mirror never lies, and we have just seen that statement in action.
The verdict in Depp's favour makes total sense. The verdict against Waldman makes no sense. Feel very sorry for Heard's lawyers: they had a massive uphill task given their client.
I’m relieved that this trial is over. Still doesn’t change the fact I’m a law nerd. But I’m glad it’s finished. Depps legal team deserved all the goodness of the world. I hope Amber will learn from this and get proper professional help.
She won't learn a damn thing. She is a hardcore narcissist, and believes her own lies. She will double down from here on out and keep saying the same crap; institutions support wealthy men over women, and use the court verdict as proof.
I agree, I hope she acknowledges she needs help and gets it, however BPD is very hard to treat, though some sufferers do have success. I dont like all the unnecessary nastiness, no matter how much i agree with the verdict.

No, Amber, this verdict is not a “setback”. It is a giant leap forward for all abuse victims. DV/SA survivors of all ages & genders are lifted up by this verdict. Thank you, Johnny & team!!!
Well... it's definitely a set-back for assholes who try to lie about DV.
I believe Johnny over her and I still think it's a setback.
YES! As AH has clearly demonstrated that DV is an equal opportunity abuser
I actually agree that it is a setback, but not in the way that she thinks. It's a setback for actual victims of IPV, women and men. Beacuse of her, actual victims will now fear to come forward. But non the less, i'm super happy that Johnny essentially has gotten his name cleared
I like seeing that Johnny left some of his security to protect his legal team.
Shows he really cares about their safety.
I noticed that as well.....their family ❤️❤️🤍❤️🤍
I thought that too!
I noticed that, too.
I love that Johnny did this ! Amazing
I didn't notice that until now! Very cool of him.
Amber claimed she suffered the culture's wrath by speaking out, but she ended up suffering her own wrath because her lies finally caught up with her.
Amen!!!!!!!!!!!
Not really,l. She still suffered culture’s wrath -but not for speaking out it for lying
Now that it’s over the jury will be able to see everything they weren’t allowed to see during the court case and see they made 100% the right decision
Interesting, but do you think they'd even want to see more evidence?
@@antennawilde If it were me I’d feel so overwhelmed by it all and wouldn’t want to see anything 🙈

She dared him to tell on her and he did. Consequences baby
Blessed be.
Deer, I also cried for happiness and cried for all the people that cried ❤️😭 JD’s team is doing something for him and for the world 🌍🙏🏼
I’m so sorry that you have had to go through that. This trial was such an amazing WIN for all victims and I hope this helps with your healing ❤️🩹

Amber was a witness for the Sun newspaper she wasn’t being sued.
The Sun is only bought for page 3.

Yep, and, if I'm not mistaken, people largely don't like that the Sun was allowed to continue calling Depp a wife-beater.
I was married to a very narcissistic and abusive woman, my heart is pouring out for this man. This whole journey has given a voice to thousands of men that suffer in silence, too ashamed to speak out. God bless you Johnny Depp!
We have to do way better Andrew. This case is a landmark case for survivors. And a huge call to work better, smarter, kinder for all survivors.

Yes!!!! So happy for men today who have gone through this !!!
Men have a voice too!!!
You are not innocent just by being a woman and you are not an abuser just by being a man. Justice served 😎
“Tell the world, Johnny…”
Well he did. And now we all know. Congratulations to Depp for getting the truth out there.
Amber didn’t look at the jury because she spent all that energy pandering to them, and in her distorted thinking, they’ve “betrayed” her. She will take this so personally.
This is the truth of the fact! 👩⚖️ But we must trust, people can see the people that they can not be trustworthy ❤️

I so respect comments like yours - I'm actually not a huge fan of Depp's side (not that I think she's better) but comments like yours are fair and have integrity. As a Brit, I can say that

@@sansserif8839 Everyone in england believed johnny. The rag of a paper the sun is widely hated here and not believed.

Sitting here in 2024, rewatching, it's still a great feeling that he was heard and this was the outcome.
I can't believe she actually showed up in court for the verdict. She REALLY thought she would win. This woman is delusional.
I feel she is far more manipulative than that. She may have turned up in court knowing she has a real chance of losing, but wanted to be there so that she could get the first word in about how the verdict had wronged her.
I think she knew it wasn’t going to be good but she wanted all the screen time she could get.

I feel such an intense relief as a survivor of DV myself. I've never stood by "believe all women", because it alienates male victims when they're already so fucked over by society. Make male victims heard! Maybe now they will have a stronger foot to stand on. Justice was served today.
YES! Instead of “believe all women”, I choose to believe all evidence.

Well, her words were “Tell the world Johnny ..and see if they believe you…”
Well he did and we did believe you!

So true and it kind of did. US then UK and then back to the US.

To all survivors:
Tell the world.
They don't believe her at all." @putalawea equisde defamation isn't a crime punishable by jail time though. It's something that has to be settled in civil court, and the punishment for it is financial liability; Johnny would not have been sent to jail if the roles were reversed.
For either of them to go to jail, they'd have to be charged criminally by the relevant jurisdictions, which I doubt would happen at this point.

How can you not love judge penny? She's very respectful and runs a great court room and fair and stern when need be.... VERY VERY happy for johnny!!
she's worthless and millions of people explained in great detail WHY she's worthless. (is she fair? Sure. is she calm? sure. SO WHAT? She doesn't know jack about LAW!)
EX:
VA can't legally cap Punitive Damages at $350K and even a law student knows this, 400 DIFFERENT WAYS!
EX:
that UNCONSTITUTIONAL law was WRITTEN BY FRAUDULENT POLITICIANS who were trying to LIMIT JUSTICE bc that's what right wing pols do!
EX:
14th Amendment EQUAL PROTECTION clause says ppl in VA get the SAME Punitive damages as ppl in OTHER STATES, aka MILLIONS.
Ever notice we critics are 99% MORE SPECIFIC than this judge? Guess why.
I’m still dealing with my own trauma as a SA survivor. The timeliness of this case was remarkable. I’m still processing and healing. When I’m struggling I come back and watch this.❤
Me too! I am with you! It gives strength in so many ways!!❤
I hope you both on fhis comment thread are doing well. ❤🙏
You’re great you got this you’re stronger than your greatest fear!!!!!!’
The ACLU continued to stand with Heard and I think this verdict damages their credibility and reputation.
They can't possibly keep her on as a representative for them. A huge mistake. They already damaged their reputation in the testimony that was given After hearing it I would never contribute to them.
They've been diminished for a while now by many things other than Heard.
The verdict is BOTH were guilty🙄
Please elaborate on how the judge is helping vets with PTSD. I had not heard any of that.
I find it poetic that closing statements happened exactly 6 years after she walked into court and obtained the order of protection which started it all.
And verdict read on National Narcissist Abuse Awareness Day!!
@@JAnKl17 oh wow that’s amazing.
She’s wearing the same dress too. She thought she was going to win.
This is justice not just for JD but for all the victims out there especially for those who could not share their trauma because it hurt too much
They gave her the one in which Waldman was involved as so it should be.
I actually still don't understand the 2 mil and why Amber got it aside from preventing her of winning an appeal. Could this be explained?
I keep coming back, I can’t stop.
Camille Vasquez got PARTNERSHIP ✊🏽!!!! 💯 So WELL DESERVED Miss Camille! You did JOHNNY a GREAT JUSTICE with your legal work! 💪🏽
Emily, you're so smart educating us on legal terms that we ALL greatly appreciate!
Wow, her reaction to being found guilty of defaming JD was to... defame JD. Unbelievable. She has no shame.
The inability to feel true empathy and having a cruel streak must be genetic. Her father was abusive and ran an illegal dogfighting ring. So sadistic.
(And hopefully some new movie projects to give us all!!!)
I also hope Amber is able to take this entire thing and funnel it into bettering herself. Into helping to fix whatever is inside her that led to this. And I hope that all the innocent bystanders who were sucked into this can breathe again! It would be great for this to be a new beginning for EVERYBODY. ❤️❤️
Yes! What will I do with my evenings now 😭
@@heatherm8736 rewatch all of Emily’s streams from the last 6 weeks? Probably what I will do for a while! 🤣
I already did! Now what do I do?
@@bellesr1 we can just keep coming back here to vent! 🤣
I agree...it was all about regaining his integrity for sure. In this he has more than succeeded !!! Yay !!
Rewatching this and I still got choked up. For all the true victims out there, there was justice. Thank you Emily! I learned so much watching you.
Holy. I was not expecting that. They did not believe her AT ALL! I am so happy you followed this and I got to watch with you, Emily! 💜
The timing and adding sexual abuse in Amber's arrival was malicious and a way to continue her revenge on Johnny.
Truly, you have made me process memories and experiences that I thought I had dealt with, you and all our law nerd family, held open arms of love, to surround anyone in need of support in the chat, and in the catch up audience.
I strongly concur😎
I absolutely, totally agree . They were such a professional team and each knew their role. Camille - wow , just wow . I loved it best when she just laboured the point that ‘ no one showed up for you Amber and yet so many showed up for Johnny.’ , which was so true . Congratulations to Ben Chew and your awesome team 👏👏👏👏
Their team was amazing. One underrated member was the man who handled a majority of the defense's expert witnesses during cross examination.
I have really enjoyed your content ! Congrats on the subs , VIEWS , super chats and the attention you ABSOLUTELY DESERVE . .. But that's hearsay for all I know ⁉️‼️‼️‼️‼️😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭⚖️⚖️🧑🏽⚖️ LAW NERDS UNITE - " what if any " lol , other trials would you like to cover ?
I was at my local Chevy dealership when the verdict was read! Everyone in the Service Department watched too!! All of us are VERY HAPPY @JusticeforJD!🥰 Thank you EDB for your outstanding coverage!! LawNerd for life, cause of you!😃❤️❤️❤️
Johnny told the world . And we all believed him!!!!!
I was nervous for the last couple days because I wasn’t sure if the jury would agree with the court of public opinion. I’m glad to see Johnny was believed by the jurors.
The jury was wise. Looking at the overall facts, the escalation of her claims to include sexual abuse, timing of her actions and statements.
Same here, so relieved Johnny won his life back 🎊🎉🎈
From now on, let AH be known only for being the public face of female abusers. Johnny is the face of male victims, he will give countless men the courage to speak up. His sacrifice will give many their voices back! The Jury came to all the right conclusions! Justice served 🍾
She is also a victim though. It's not that black and white.
@@ellie-tk4jy she supposedly took someones sexual assault story
@@ellie-tk4jy nah
And so it turns that the only thing Amber was a victim of was her own stupidity and lies.
When the jury sees all the facts that they didn't get to hear , they will regret voting for the one action for her.
Yes! Absolutely 💯 % I agree with you.
It’s nice to come back to this to rewatch the verdict again
She has not learned anything! I think she will talk to a reporter or newspaper soon and shares her own story there.
@@yuisou5041 her spin of the story anyway. She’s so pretty on the outside but soooo so ugly of a person on the inside. Maybe she needs to get put on meds to make her stable and able to think straight? 🤷🏻♀️
Justice. I can't believe it's been a year already.
I'm honestly shocked that Amber went to the court for the verdict. It must have been another client-led decision? I would not have advised her to attend with how high profile the case is.
I am not surprised at all , she’s a true narcissist
I bet she'll spin it as her taking the process very seriously, while Johnny f'd off like the true doodling, candy-eating narcissist he is.
I truly believe she thought she was going to win
With the narrative of "this is a loss for all women", maybe they wanted the sad photos.
She's a narcissist, of course she's going to be there, she's SO smug, she probably thought she had it in the bag
She did too much. Everybody hated her. Who ever advice her needs to be fired.
No one advises her she is a control freak & thinks she smarter than everyone
No she naturally exposed herself
She took her own advice!
Firing someone else would continue to shift the blame. No, she is the one to blame.
Narcissists do not heed or need advice.
Nice to watch this again months after the verdict ❤
It's a shame the jury wasn't made aware of the second 911 call by Rocky. But other than that, what a win 🙏🙏
Yes! But Rocky never admitted to it and io claiming it was Lauren proves he WAS in on it.
Rocky is NOT A GOOD PERSON PERIOD!!! A USER TOO!!!
She has no right comparing herself to Domestic Abuse victims period!!!
SOME are like this but now all
Same thing here.
I’m a couple of years older than you and my mother tried to gaslight me YESTERDAY. Stay strong and watch some Dr. Ramani to help keep your sanity. This is the first time I believe that she was actually upset. Until she finally looked up at the jury and looked like she wanted to hurt someone.
22 hours later AH and Elaine speak out against the jury and decision. She learned nothing from any of this!
