@@thatsclassicher1149 plus that heavily influenced the judgement in her favor during the UK trial. The judge ignored all of Johnnys evidence and even stated his decision was based on that “donating 7 million dollars, is not the actions of a gold digger”. He basically made up his mind from her lies about her donating her entire divorce settlement! I wish Johnny could go back and appeal that judgement even further because it was won based on lies and bias.

When I heard this man speaking about people like me, I choked up mostly because I felt heard, seen, understood but also because our trauma was brought up in the "typical world" and not just in the special needs community. Same. I remember when I was listening to Mayim Bialik's podcast about the difference between trauma and PTSD, and I was like, "holy crap, I have PTSD. I need to talk to someone about this." I had absolutely no idea whatsoever. And when someone, a real person in my regular life, inadvertently revealed to me that I had PTSD, it shattered me. I was so grateful that there was an ANSWER. And ever since then, when people talk about it I get choked up because it makes me feel like a real person, that someone understands and recognizes.

Dr Richard Shaw’s opinion was spot on. This man provided a thorough explanation of what can be said and how without actually meeting with the person you are providing an opinion on. I have done about a thousand clinical psychological assessments and what he has said in his testimony is how I was trained. I did some neuropsychological assessments as an intern and know you can conclude nothing from a mini mental status exam without further assessment. Any screener like that can at best raise red flags to guide further assessment.

I guess I hadn't realized how much of a distraction I needed from other world events until that chatter pointed it out, and like them I want to thank you for what you do and for creating a community full of law nerds who can have respectful discussions and kindly explain things to a lay person like myself. It's a rare thing to find on the internet.

Yeah the guy was calling her friends hipsters so she was definitely not amused and it sounded like there was a reaction from everyone in the room. Whats funny is that the whole idea of trailer park realness as a theme for a getaway is very hipster in itself lol.
I think she has been very annoyed from the beginning of rebuttals because it is the most her character and popularity has been attacked this whole time. Up until now its been about the DV allegations in which she feels completely validated and she expectes kickback from JDs team on that and was prepared to react stoically wherein she feels this is all very unfair and it is harder for her to keep her emotions in check about it. It is clear that as soon as rebuttal happened she startes being more animated, writing feverishly and passing notes to the lawyers doing cross ex to ensure they made the points she wanted. Wherein JD has trusted his lawyers implicitly and only on one occasion passed a note to chew who them passed a note back because something was said that JD realised was not accurate. She on the otherhand seems to not trust her team 100% and it shows with the demeanor at her table imho.

A couple of days ago, Law & Lumber was on a video with The Behavioral Arts, and he mentioned that clients generally gravitate towards attorneys that match their personalities. That seems to extend to attorneys picking expert witnesses as well, and I only just realized how much witnesses reflect on the people they're "for." I paused the video to write this, and so far all I've seen Dr. Shaw do is give his CV, but already he's reflecting SO well on JD to me.

Yep, cluster b people tend to like other cluster b people or conmen, they all kind of buy each other’s bullshit,
      - grandiose statements, belief they are the best at their work or in the field etc. But they don’t check well enough for if it can be backed up with facts or logic. You can see that in the Dr Death series too. Politicians have this issue in spades as well.

Just wanted to clarify my original point. I don't know JD, of course, and TBF, I always have to remember that JD and AH are both actors (JD arguably being a much, much better actor), so I can't say for certain that I know his true personality even after seeing his testimony. So when I say that Shaw reflects well on him, I don't mean that I know they match personalities, exactly. What I mean is, well...
I'm having a hard time putting this into words (I should be asleep right now), but what I mean is that I never realized just how much a witness can make the person they're testifying "for" look good just by association. Like, even though Shaw and JD probably only know each other through JD's lawyers, just the fact that JD picked his lawyers and his lawyers picked Shaw made JD look good, just because Shaw came across as so quiet and unassuming.

AH's team has been bringing in people that look (and sound) rough while JD's team has been bringing in upstanding respectable-looking people (w/ the exception of the vaping-&-driving-while-testifying guy). The difference in quality is night and day.

Something that occurred to me when watching today’s trial is that AH took photos of JD sleeping cause he would forget that he was “on the nod” and didn’t remember people caring for him. Being the loving wife she was (🙄) she would take photos of him to help him know how bad it had gotten. SO let’s just say that in JD’s bad moments he abused AH, why didn’t she take real, raw, graphic pictures of that evidence to show him how bad he was treating her. (Describing the photos this way cause her photos seem to lack authenticity and a wide scope of abuse that she verbal describes)

It is haughty indifference to purposely misprounced a human's name. You are taking them they are 'less than' and you don't have to make an effort to properly say their name. In actuality, it makes the person look stupid - they can't learn and say the right name.
