    #Dream #Minecraft #MinecraftManhunt
Over the past year Dream went from 1000 subscribers to over 10 million subscribers, revolutionizing and redefining the Minecraft community with series like Minecraft Unsolved or Minecraft Manhunt. It all started with videos about Pewdiepie's Minecraft seed, and it turned into original, highly entertaining content in a genre that was considered to be oversaturated. Today we take a look at how he did it, in an attempt to draw some helpful conclusions for anyone who wants to pursue a similar path, whether on UA-cam, in Minecraft, or anywhere else, because the same principles apply everywhere.

He gives off small youtuber vibes cos of the simplicity of his videos and him overall. I mean theres his profile pic which already speaks simple. But also how simple his videos and how simple the idea was. No all caps titles and clickbait thumbnails and red arrows and circles. Also how simple his ideas are. Its the simplicity that makes him unique and great.

7:23 "But no human brain is built to handle that type of shift in such a short amount of time. So while everyone is praising Dream and stanning him and what not, I also hope that he has a solid foundation to keep himself grounded, because if anything that is the most important element of the equation."
This aged perfectly well. Dream let that success get to his head during the cheating scandal, but his recent actions have shown that he is better equipped for situations like that as a result of learning over time.

at the time of the scandal, i wouldnt call myself a 'stan' or wtvr i was just a casual viewer. i honestly found it stupid, and i thought everyone was treating it like god revealed himself at the devil or smth. however, i do get why ppl were mad that he handled it horribly. he can be very confusing and presents himself one way and comes off another. and unless you really study him, u end up thinking "wow this guy is kinda an asshole". personally though, i think people are not used to his kind of personality. yes i 100% believe he is prideful & VERY confident. and these can make him look horrible......when used wrong. like with the scandal. but when he has this kind of self assured aura, i think he can utilize it to really maximize his online persona. i think he has matured a lot based on his responses to questions abt antis on his podcast (not sure wht happens on twitter anymore i deleted it, that place is a hellhole), and i can see him getting even bigger on youtube.

Dream even said that he helps his friends. Sapnap and George were with him throughout the entire planning process. That’s where Dream got his name, going over ideas with Sapnap. The SMP is for everyone there to get bigger Bc Dream knows their potential and is trying to help an audience reach them with his own credibility. For Tommy he said to use “Dream” in the title Bc he knew it would raise his view count. “They’ll click for my name and stay for Tommy Bc Tommy is hilarious. Then in the next video he won’t have to put my name Bc they’ll already be watching for Tommy.”

Another thing to add to this great analysis is the _reason_ Dream was able to hop straight on the opportunity train; he had time. Most people who wanna make it big on UA-cam are already preoccupied by full time jobs or study, but from what it sounds like, Dream had all the time in the world. He'd spent the first half of 2019 studying the craft, and then had all the time he needed to keep pumping out videos multiple times a week, hopping on every opportunity he could. That's something a lot of people don't have, which ultimately helped a tonne. Idk, just my two cents.

I think the idea of copycats is really a fascinating element to consider when discussing the UA-cam algorithm. If you can influence individuals to make content similar to your own, it does seem like that will indirectly benefit you at least for a time, because your content would likely be recommended alongside them. It's not really something I hear a lot of people discuss, but I definitely feel it's a unique dynamic that could play an influential role in aiding your content being spread around.

I think another thing that was notable about Dream is that he shared his momentum with other creators. When his channel was rapidly growing, he made a multiplayer world exclusive to him and his friends. initially it was just a few people, but then he added multiple smaller creators who used the world to share their content. It quickly became very popular and everybody on the world began to grow. A storyline was made which was encouraged by fanart and theories of the plot. Dream used the hype around his channel to help other creators who in turn, used his name when streaming/making content (the Dream SMP). It became something that fans got invested in, such as myself. It's really cool to see someone make it this far and share it with others.

Dream took the opportunity to grow his own channel and boom, and now he's the opportunity that's being given to a lot of creators (take TommyInnit for example, he rised to fame because he managed to make good use of the opportunity Dream gave him by being in the SMP. Now he grew over 1 million subs in 5 months and he consistently hits over 50,000 live viewers on twitch, sometimes hitting over 100,000)

The best way I'd say to keep a solid foundation, is to have 2 channels, 1 with many subscribers, with a more wild fanbase, where if you fail in some way it will damage the channel severely and another with fewer subscribers, where even if your main channel is dying off slowly, you probably will still have your alt channel, giving you enough time to get back on your feet and stabilizing yourself, your alt channel would be the foundation in case it starts going downhill.

They do support them and they also post ab them... but not a whole lot and 3. The toxic and obsessive oness. Stanning is a very big and just overall genre there really is no true definition for it. Its like music. It could be anything and it all depends on you. and i do agree.. the fandom can be veryy toxic... but please DO keep in mind that not all of us are like that. The original def used to be like very toxic.. but at this point- it has spreaded out to many things. just wanted to let ya knoowww.. also sorry if this doesnt make sense- its really late for meee urgf4gv
edit: so here ig- the keyword is support. stanning is just supproting someone. its so vague cause like... people use it in so many ways the real meanings gone POOF and its just so big.. and big is an understatement.
edit 2: yall do not know a lot ab internet culture or have a reading comprehension and it shows. cmon guys its not that hard to do a quick google search. and NO being obsessive does not mean its a really bad thing u bamboos. like dream.. if somebody does a lot of minecraft vids and plays it a lot than it means their obsessed ab it. and that includes many other things like writing and drawing. and yes its kinda like having a hobby but extreme depending on the person. and the def changes because the internet changes like everyday. and yes i know what the org def is but just because its the original doesnt mean its the REAL definetion cause like.. people use it in so many diff ways it just- DOESNT anymore.
**UPDATE: okay so no fandom is toxic. like. ever. its the fans that are toxic. and heres a vid link why **ua-cam.com/video/UG5Ek0XFw_g/v-deo.html** PLease watch it!! the vid is super duper good!!**

@Just a building i mean.. at this point, stanning doesnt have a real meaning anymore because it is used in so many ways that its just been boiled down too just supporting someone.stanning can be very wholesome and harmless or just toxic and mean... it all boils down to the person.

The thing about Dream that I've noticed is that he understands truthfully what makes something Entertaining in UA-cam that I don't think I've ever seen done so accurately on this platform before.
Lots of mainstream UA-camrs will focus on their big personalities, crazy edits, focus on highlights, and try to make things fun out of any situation. (While also doing things like clickbait, milking content, copying others, etc.) I respect the work UA-camrs put into their content, but for lots of their videos I never feel the need to stick around.
Dream's videos, however, are genuinely engaging to watch. There's a reason his comments section always have people saying, "This is like a Netflix series, I can't stop watching."
His videos are so competitively enjoyable that it's like you're watching a sports game or intense action scenes with a side of personality and fun.

In practically every single Dream Manhunt video, I learn something new about the game that I had never even thought of before. Running over lava by using boats? Using a Splash invisibility potion to trick your friends? It’s absolutely insane. I know that a lot of the things he does aren’t even his ideas, but it’s still amazing to see them being used in action.

    • @thekekwguy5722

Eventhough he's milked man hunt imo it's still the most enjoyable series on UA-cam. I also like how there's hints of personality but more of the time it's tense action.

    • @nightmare4254
      @nightmare4254 3 роки тому +9

@@thekekwguy5722 I'll add a reason why he does so many, but not as much "milk it" as you think. Like you said, it's very entertaining, and it's his most successful series on his channel, so it makes sense why, and they don't get old, because there is always tension and there is always really good plays, most of which we haven't seen before which keeps us on the edge of their seats. So it makes sense why he makes so much of them, he went from barely managing to defeat one hunter, to matching 4 hunters. So he doesn't exactly milk it, because the term "milking content" has a very negative connotation and his channel has much more to offer than just manhunts.

I like the way Dream makes his content where he's not really forcing himself to upload super consistently, instead waiting for a good idea to come and then build off that. I find some channels harder to follow because watching a large amount of content in a short period of time (gonna use the twice daily/strictly biweekly as an example) is much less satisfying to me than watching a longer video on a more spread out schedule. This keeps his stuff interesting and ensures more people come back, at least that's my take on it.
My only question is when the heck is he premiering his videos?! It's usually around 1AM when they're being premiered and I live is a timezone 2-4 hours behind Dream. Dude, ya sleeping?

Now, he's realized that he has a fanbase that just wants to see him make good content, so he can spend more time on them, can make each one longer, and now can talk in depth about really good topics.

Rest room with almost no Chemicals or acid: Almost every youtuber and community.
ACID AND CHEMICALS ROOM THAT WILL MELT YOUR FACE IF YOU ENTER 1 MILISECOND: Dream stans and toxic community
MOB Votation event: A party in the rest room
Then when all the sudden a misterous lab personel that wear a mask acivate the release chemicals button with a note aside that said: DO NOT PUSH AT ALL COST OR YOU WILL DOOM US ALL killing everybody and making him stronger that ever until he commit an error and died (hacked speedrun)
