Techno doesn’t upload lol. People heard of techno due to his dominance in minecraft tournaments, and they all stayed due to his comedy and skill. He still has a large fan base even tho he literally does not upload lmao
Summary Dream could survive in a very saturated niche. 1. Trend-Jacking: Use key words that indicate trending topics. Make your videos related to those topics. 1-1. Find a topic from other social media and attract them to your UA-cam video that talks about that specific topic. (Multi Media, One Direction) 3. Original Ideas *added to* the trending topics 4. Make videos that are preferred by the Algorithm. 4-1. UA-cam algorithm considers both Retention (% of a video watched by one viewer) and Watch time (# of minutes watched per viewer) Dream achieved both by creating videos as if they are movies. Lots of tension and uncertainty, but satisfaction at the end. 5. Same series with improvement = outdated yet more interesting
You must study UA-cam tirelessly for months (or maybe years) before you start it. It requires a lot of hard work and determination. This is my message to those people who think that UA-cam is just a joke and it depends on luck and has nothing to do with hard work.
PewDiePie never studied the UA-cam algorithm neither did other UA-camrs like KSI, Logan Paul, Markiplier and so on Pewds agrees luck is a big part of it he said so himself and I think that counts for a lot considering he has 106 million subscribers, he dominated the UA-cam algorithm many times unintentionally he got 6.5 mil subs in December 2018.
@@gus9351 They both have good points but aren't completely accurate. UA-cam is ruthless to new content creators nowadays and that's why you have to study it however that doesn't mean you can't be successful if you don't have the big brain IQ like Dream. Hard work still pays off but without a plan it takes way longer. I think it's still fine that way because the reason PewDiePie got successful even now is because once you get the big numbers and ad revenue, it all becomes irrelevant. In the end every content creator is just human so if you make videos you enjoy making/would watch it yourself, you'll get that foundation eventually. The fans will stay and watch so long as they keep making videos. That's still success in my book!
I think the key to Dream's success is him making people want to like his videos. I was there when it was happening. When he first did 1 vs 3 manhunt, he said in the end that they'll do another one if this one hits 250.000 likes. It did. Then he set up a bar on 300.000 likes for another rematch. And he got it again. But the biggest gamechanger was when he said He'll do another one for 1 MIO likes. It took some time and people were using all accounts they owned on youtube to get the video to the mark because they wanted to get more, and, one thing leads to the other: he hit the mark again. With every manhunt video, he was then just raising the bar higher and higher, but never so high it couldn't be reached. And that was when he absolutely blew up. Since then he is getting almost 1 MIO subs every week. And he's getting 1 MIO likes like it's nothing. Also, his videos are just amazing, so that helps too.
Yeah honestly, I feel like learning from someone I can actually feel a small relationship to Dream. Not having momentum whatsoever but despite all else, I still produce more videos regardless of the views. It can be discouraging for me, yeah but I'm always trying things learning new things meeting interesting people, and even watching interesting people. I think what really keeps my hope going is the fact that regardless of where I land on youtube I'd like to one day make a video where people can enjoy it fairly well and it's a scary world like getting negative and positive comments it just never stopped me from making more. People like Dream really do show inspiration and motivation to not give up if UA-cam is something you're really wanting to take up one day. I think now is pretty much the time for me to start taking those steps in learning and growing.
Yes, a genius. Not only he had a dream of being a big youtuber but he is dream. Also, I like how his thumbnails are just plan simple thumbnails. No special or excerpt thumbnails either. Heck, the exact same one. Yea, a genius.
Eh, Nord isn’t actually that good as far as reputation goes. Couple times now they’ve had data breaches and just told nobody in hopes it wouldn’t get out. Nah, if you want a good VPN you go with one that has 3rd party auditing for no logs with dedicated servers. I use VyprVPN for that reason, they own all of their own server/network infrastructure and are based in Sweden so there’s no legality stopping them, third party audit, too.
6:08 watch time, retention, long veiwer watch and long video formula Great Idea 6:53 always to building tention half heart music 7:50 watch to the end 8:30 REPEAT high veiws AND IMPROVE IT
When I'm doing a comprehensive research about dream cause I wanted to understand the hate, but now I'm becoming more of a fan, WTF?, That guy is somehow didn't just blow up in a shot time, it collectively planned
6:07 oML this is around the time realisation hit me like to the point where i finished the sentence before you the mc manhunts are the algorithm beater cause they are long (which means better retention) while also keeping the viewer hooked cause of the intensity, meaning they are very likely to watch til the end... thats so freaking smart istg this guys a genius mc content is also easy to create (meaning it doesnt take as long to pump out as stuff like animation) and the editing style is unique. My 7 IQ brain just exploded
Another key thing would be to not tell people to like or subscribe or anything like that until the end of the video, or, don't say that at all lol I think if people really like your content, they will share and subscribe and like the videos etc. It would be good if people put sponsorships at the end of the video too and give more details about the sponsorship in the video description so if people are interested, they can check the end of the video and check the description rather than having to listen to the sponsorship at the start of the video 😅 I don't know if sponsors tell you to put the mention at the start of the video or if you can choose to put it at any point in the video. I would put it at the end, personally. I got a decent deal with NORD VPN via a Minecraft UA-camr and it was good
Ngl i usually skip videos till the end but the manhunt series felt weird in a way that i wanted to know how he gets his win or lose so his idea of how he makes the video is really working
keemstar: *kicks dream for not having many views also dream : * just reached 10 mil and can have 400k live views in youtube and have to much views in twicth for him to raid some and asked them to leave but the views keeps getting up in minecraft champoinship*
1. Trend-jacking (add to the conversation) 2. Creating an algorithm beater - A new and intriguing idea; build constant tension (music), and a watch to the end incentive. 3. Improving your content (the same thing, just done better).
This isn't my gaming channel, but I am planning to start trying a gaming thing soon. I've learned about editing, but I don't have any motivation yet. This gives me some hope to try and get myself out there.

Techno doesn’t upload lol. People heard of techno due to his dominance in minecraft tournaments, and they all stayed due to his comedy and skill. He still has a large fan base even tho he literally does not upload lmao

He's like the Ninja of Minecraft. Nobody knows who he is then he became good at a game now everybody knows him.
it happens to everybody, for example a minecraft youtuber started with 0 subs but when he/she became good at minecraft, he gets more people
@@user-wv8xw9dr2c I learned the algorithm now i will record fun minecraft videos on my second channel and i will get atleast 15k views for sure
Paddy Galloway is a UA-cam genius tbh. He is a master in trend jacking.
Summary
Dream could survive in a very saturated niche.
1. Trend-Jacking: Use key words that indicate trending topics. Make your videos related to those topics.
1-1. Find a topic from other social media and attract them to your UA-cam video that talks about that specific topic. (Multi Media, One Direction)
3. Original Ideas *added to* the trending topics
4. Make videos that are preferred by the Algorithm.
4-1. UA-cam algorithm considers both Retention (% of a video watched by one viewer) and Watch time (# of minutes watched per viewer)
Dream achieved both by creating videos as if they are movies. Lots of tension and uncertainty, but satisfaction at the end.
5. Same series with improvement = outdated yet more interesting
Thanks
Commenting this so more people can see this when they click on this video
I started watching Dream when he had just reached 1 mil and BOOM suddenly he’s about to get 10 mil rn
Japi Wirl yeah I found him at 900k and didn’t expect him to randomly explode lol
Same here! Wack to think about.
who wants to be my 2nd subscriber?
the fact he literally got 14m a couple of days ago SCARES ME-
Same.
Dream really knows how to keep people interested throughout his videos
yes
Dream: “I probably read about 200 books about UA-cam”
Paddy Galloway: *well I can give you a ten minute drawing video*
@@KentVigilante and your point is?
When we realise that he's actually Trend-jacking and the views are high.
So it really do work..
It worked!

2:49 and you did the same thing...
his channel is first hand proof of how effective trend jacking is
Just started watching his videos in quarantine but now I have seen every single one of them
I think the key to Dream's success is him making people want to like his videos.
Paddy: you can't watch half of the speedrun video.
Me: watches beginning and skips to the end because I have a short attention span.
Lmaooooi
I don't personally watch him but I've seen the amount of videos he released and how many subs he has gained. Only 100 vids and 9M subs.
And the views on his videos too like damn
@@librarian4485 Every video goes viral!
It feels like just a few months ago when I was gushing that to my brother...
*he even did a speed run to the diamond play button*
Just spreading this idea
Anylize Cark next! Did he beat the algorithm? Is he a time traveler? Or is he just a lucky kid? We want to know
Yes, a genius. Not only he had a dream of being a big youtuber but he is dream.
Also, I like how his thumbnails are just plan simple thumbnails. No special or excerpt thumbnails either. Heck, the exact same one. Yea, a genius.
I like how he’s literally doing one of his strats
In future, "HOW I AM BEATING THE UA-cam ALGORITHM - PADDY GALLOWAY" 😅
Make a video on how Ray Mak gets top comment in so many videos and that too in so many different types of UA-cam channels.
I guess you could say his “Dreams” came true.

When I'm doing a comprehensive research about dream cause I wanted to understand the hate, but now I'm becoming more of a fan, WTF?, That guy is somehow didn't just blow up in a shot time, it collectively planned
6:07 oML this is around the time realisation hit me like to the point where i finished the sentence before you
the mc manhunts are the algorithm beater cause they are long (which means better retention) while also keeping the viewer hooked cause of the intensity, meaning they are very likely to watch til the end...
thats so freaking smart istg this guys a genius
mc content is also easy to create (meaning it doesnt take as long to pump out as stuff like animation) and the editing style is unique. My 7 IQ brain just exploded
The guy who made this is a genius he has a plan to reveal plans of growth to grow
Time to update thumbnail with his real face xD
Perfect!
When he starts advertising Nord: BYE that's how you lose retention
Its actually smart to put at end so u don’t lose that much views and retention with ad
@@klee540 Oh yeah that does make sense...
Another key thing would be to not tell people to like or subscribe or anything like that until the end of the video, or, don't say that at all lol
I think if people really like your content, they will share and subscribe and like the videos etc.

Proof why Dream is the best Minecraft speedrunner:
Yeah, he may not have the world record (right now)
But he's straight up speedrunning UA-cam itself
And he can literally beat minectaft with like 4 people teying ti kill him on the way
1. Trend-jacking (add to the conversation)
2. Creating an algorithm beater - A new and intriguing idea; build constant tension (music), and a watch to the end incentive.
3. Improving your content (the same thing, just done better).
from now on, your channel will become my youtube creator bible. every video of that channel will become my gospel.
