What they SHOULD do, is what fallout did. They should make a new story taking place canonically after the games so that there is no damage to the established lore. Then they would even be able to follow the movie up with a game that could continue the story of the movie or just have some characters that were originally created for the movie. If they just re-tell the story we all know and love it’s going to fail because nobody can tell the story better than we can play it.
I'm honestly hoping we get a movie that shows the Rapture Civil War, the events that lead to it, and what happened after. If not, a movie based on the first game will do just fine.
Prime has shown that they do things like this incredibly. With The Boys, Gen V, Invincible, and now Fallout. I really wish it would’ve been prime with the writers and producers who worked on those shows. I think they could truly make a great BioShock adaption. Netflix isn’t that trustworthy. They have done well with Stranger Things and A Series Of Unfortunate Events, but everything else is just.. I’m hesitant.
It should focus on the building and downfall of rapture. We should see Andrew Ryan and his blights with the surface. See him bring his vision to life and the peak of rapture, then allow Fontaine to start to undermine rapture and have it all lead to the civil war. I would love to see Fontaine actually be apart of the construction of rapture
so basically nothing has happened. We’re no closer to getting in the movie and it’s probably gonna be canceled. Not to mention that BioShock should be a multi season TV series rather than movie
In regards to Infinite, I would like to see that as a limited TV series and keep the storyline as is. If they wanted to explore possible side stories for a lesser known character, I think doing a side story of a Handyman would be rather perfect for that. BioShock and BioShock 2 could really be anyone that was a still cognizant Big Daddy or, in the case of Jack, eventually becomes one. I worry it won't do well as a movie if it doesn't come out in the theaters. I feel like the only way to make it big is to make a TV series. Otherwise, it's going to fall into the forgotten wasteland of Warcraft (I played WoW religiously for 8 to 10 years, and I had no interest in seeing the movie).
It is normally very hard to effectively transfer a story from a video game to a film, considering they are two different mediums. Factor in how different and unique Bioshock is in its presentation and I think it would be nearly impossible for them to make a good film out of it. I hope they just make a new story set in Rapture or something
What I’m hoping is that they’ll have Jack and Atlas meet face to face. Having them actually interact will make it less repetitive when they have to communicate through a radio. Plus, it will make his betrayal feel way more personal. Also, they need to show Jack bonding with the little sisters as a way to build up to him having a found family.
Well dang, I am still waiting for updates on "The Worst Witch," as they gave closure to "Ann with an E." So considering that Netflix has picked up the Bioshock movie project, I would wonder if they will follow through.
Blue eye samurai is great, even if you’re not into anime, it doesn’t feel like a typical anime. That and Arcane give me some hope but those were still projects by different studios just distributed by Netflix
I'm hopeful that Netflix sees how popular the Fallout tv series is and will make the Bioshock movie actually happen. Missed you too, Eric! Hope you and the fam are doing well.
The people behind the movie has pretty big movie behind the hunger games blade runer and Logan probably the best x men movie there is Also as someone who is not into anime i check out the trailer for blue eye samurai it looks cool the animation looks nice they even have the first episode out
I can confirm that Blue Eye Samurai is a great series. It not only has great animation but a very engaging story and characters. If the same level of care that was brought to Blue Eye Samurai and Logan is brought to this project then I think it will turn out great. I'm a little concerned about them wanting to set up a cinematic universe. After Marvel hit gold with the Avengers everyone and their mother was trying to set up a cinematic universe and most of them ended up becoming train wrecks. The focus should be on telling the story of the rise and fall of Rapture. Focus on making a good Bioshock movie and if it does well them move on to Bioshock 2 and the story of Minerva's Den with parts of the Bioshock Rapture novel scattered in as flashbacks. If done well we could get an amazing movie trilogy.
Trust me I’m happy we didn’t get the Bioshock movie from what the previous director wrote because wat was he thinking coming up with that ending? Lol I believe it was just an idea he came up with but probably was going to change it later on. Also I think it’s best for them to make the movie based on Rapture instead of Columbia because Rapture is obviously the only place people are more familiar with when it comes to Bioshock.
I'm not anime person either like i said in my last comment but i just watch first 2 episodes of blue eye samurai although i said animation is cool let me take that back its not cool it's stunning this is coming from someone who think all anime looks mostly all same this looks different it looks like a movie that how good the animation the fight scenes are dope definitely check this show out
Hay I forgot what time you stream can you tell me 😅 ... ... ... I just looked at what time I subscribed to your second channel and it's jan 6 2018😅 before I discovered the BioShock hub 😂
Netflix is good with video game adaptations. I would've preferred Amazon, but after playing every BioShock this past month, I think they have enough writers and sets to pull it off. I mean, look at how good One Piece live action was.

Im seeing a teenage high school drama set in rapture between jack and a big sister if Netflix has its way 💀

Make it a series, beginning with Pre War Rapture.

im slightly sad to hear that bioshock was never repicked up by universal, like imagine a bioshock ride in universal studios, that would be sick
Thank god I have Netflix I WILL watch that movie

Man we definitely need something new from the BioShock franchise...
The Fallout show was decent so I have a small hope for Bioshock. But, it is netflix lol.
That's an entirely different studio, and they had the head of Bethesda involved in the process. I haven't heard them involve Ken Lavigne at all.

Remember the resident evil show on Netflix? That did not turn out well
Is there any info about the new BioShock
They should do a series instead of a film. Too much stuff to squeeze into a film, even a very long one.
Anyone know when its here pls and thanks
Ahh eee Erik dropping jewels again 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hopefully they don’t make it a PG movie
It's needs to be rated R
If it’s like what they did to Cuphead, cancel it now and save yourself some time and money
have they even started filminh?
Infinite can be more appealing to a larger audience ..
Bioshock needs to be a tv show not a movie ugh
Yay! 😊
Wooo
Dont let them neuter bioshock they way Sony neutered a great venom and carnage from the mcu
jesus christ, bioshock is ok the way it is, why they can´t stop screwing things around?
I'm glad it's on Netflix and not on HBO Max, because the lesser is not available in Germany and even using a VPN is a bit tricky.
That's fair
