I Always Love Learning About Different Kinds Of Big Daddys That Never Made It, They're Always So Cool
Me too. I always have that "what if" thought.
The sea slug attached to the Big Daddy would essentially make it a Rahkshi from Bionicle.
Man there was sooo much cool content cut from the games, especially some of the enemies in Rapture!
Totally agree. A lot of the enemies would've changed up the gameplay a ton as well.
I would like this to become a series it's really interesting seeing these types of videos when I'm bored

The Infinite enemy’s codename being “Snake oil” I believe is a reference to a snake oil salesman. An old term where people would come into a town, sell “cures” that did not do anything, then leave with the money before the residents could catch on. The model looks like a stereotypical idea of this individual. Think of the old school Wizard of Oz character

I’m just imagining a Bear/Gorilla spliced to hell and back, then shoved into a Big Daddy suit. And since they’re animals, they won’t have the same energy as a normal big daddy would to a little sister. It would be more of a pet than a guardian. I imagine the lil sister riding its back or a secret boss fight against a loan animal big daddy prototype that’s howling because it became unstable and killed its lil sister with her body in the back bloody
12:01 This one's amazing, it gives me Silent Hill vibes a little, and I like creepy enemies in general. I really wish they kept underwater combat. The jester was good too.
Just you wait until I get into more of the cut characters. There's a lot of badass ones that I couldn't fit into this video unfortunately.

The Bioshock Museum was such a cool inclusion I wish more games gave us an insight into their conception in the same way

The spider splicers still have the mouth on their back, don't they? They don't do anything but it's still there, as far as I remember. They have the hand mouths, too, but they don't use them as they were supposed to do. The actual cut part was them having tendrils coming out of them, but they decided to still use the classic hooks.
I'm not too sure honestly, I haven't paid too much attention.
I dont know what it is about removed BioShock content but it makes me so interested. The tech demos for BioShock 1 are very different from the final release & I wish they would leak. hopefully 2k decides to make a faithful remake for all the games one day and gives us modding tools.
I don't think BioShock needs to be remade just give us the ability to mod the games

Awesome video man. I enjoy learning more about this kind of stuff and the lore behind the game. Sucks it all has to be a what if but what can we do. The enemies that never made it is one of the things I usually wish for. I always enjoy heavy enemies and the danger they pose. From the Tank in L4D to the Big Daddies in BioShock, heavy enemies just hit different to me, no pun intended. Enjoyed the video and I personally would love to see more whenever you get the chance to post the next I'll definitely be waiting 👍

I personally think the one that hurts the most are the survivors in BioShock 2, as they were a concept I was seriously just thinking about not too long ago.
The question of “How exactly do people like Grace, Stanley, Sinclair, and Porter survive in Rapture?” just popped into my head, and I didn’t know how to answer it.
They can’t really go anywhere to buy food, or else they’ll likely run the risk of getting attacked by Splicers. Fontaine had a giant base and an army of Splicers at his command, and Tenembaum had the Little Sisters to possibly scavenge food.
The Survivors would’ve helped answer that question in such an easy way. Plus it would only make sense for there to be people who would see the risks to ADAM.
After playing Bioshock anytime somebody asks me : "Would you Kindly." The Only anwser I can give is NO!!!!!!!
Bioshock Infinite in my opinion deserves a huge remake directors cut. Now that we got the PS5 and it’s amazing hardware they can do such much in Infinite or a new Bioshock game!

What I meant to say was both a director's cut of Bioshock 2 and BioShock Inifinite. I think it would've been great for a Minerva's Den-like DLC for Infinite. For me Clash in the Clouds, that was pretty seamless. I thought that was hokey looking back on it. It would've been amazing for a Daisy Fitzroy DLC to see what she's going through as Columbia starts to demise.
BioShock 2, I would love to see get remade, sort of in the realms of Dead Space (2023), and see what the original story was supposed to be. There was going to be a prologue level set before the events of the first game where you have to protect a young Eleanor as the Rapture Civil War has begun in the Kashmir Restaurant. I think Tenenbaum was going to have a larger role in the sequel before the final cut of her having a cameo and in the Minerva's Den DLC.
For me, Tenenbaum is the heart and soul of the franchise. I would love for her to make a return in the new BioShock. You may disagree with me on that. But I would love to see both a director's cut of both BioShock 2 and Infinite and the original Burial at Sea of what was supposed to be. Originally, Booker DeWitt was supposed to be the main character of both parts 1 & 2.
Clash in the clouds was always always pretty mid to me personally, like they could have done so much more with it, all it really did in the end is tease BaS which I thought at the time was a reference to us going back to rapture, which it was just not in the way I wanted or anticipated...
The DLC thing sounds cool. Never knew, would have been awesome
I just really wonder what the idea behind it would've been. An awesome concept would've been Columbia vs. Rapture in some way.
It's anyways fascinating to see cut content from games. The Bioshock games especially have an especially large amount of interesting ideas that never made it into the final games.
I'm grateful they didn't put the camera vending machine in. I do wish they would have included some way to know your research progess though. It was such a pain pulling out the camera only to find out you've maxed research on that subject. Loved this video; I can never get enough bioshock!

Burial at sea, particularly part 2, was some of the best DLC I've ever played.

Hey, have you ever taken a weapon from a named enemy in bioshock games? Like Dr. J. S. Steinman machine gun or Daniel Wales shotgun. I got both, and I tried to get Reed Wahl shotgun, but it was not possible.

Could you imagine being Delta just walking through the water towards the beginning of 2, when all of a sudden a swimmer came up to you for a fight? That would have had me shit bricks.

They were also supposed to be market vendors instead of vending machines, so I think the survivors are also gonna be like shopkeepers you would’ve interacted with. That’s just an assumption because I remember seeing during the directors commentary, but it was mentioned the vending machines are a last-minute decision to cut the shop keeps.
I can see why the fink's factory workers weren't used. That's just cartoonishly evil, it goes overboard even for a fictional place like that.
Plus it's more cruel for the workers to be trapped by the system fink creates than in machines.
With the machines they are prisoners, they have no choice. In fink's system they're prisoners but they have the illusion of choice. "What crime have I committed? I've provided them with jobs. They are the ones who choose to work 12 hours for peanuts. They can stop any time they want and try to find work elsewhere that'll pay the rent for their homes, or buy them food."
I wish we had the mutants.
And I would've preferred a different dlc especially something on par with Minerva's Den. The first part of BaS was fine but the second... I'll be a broken record if I go on about my grievances with it.
That and it would've just been over the top as well.

They were a bit more subtle in abusing their power and privilege.
Plus it's not the snowpiercer where they can't stop and get more supplies to build. If it were then it would make sense

I think the best step for the bioshock franchise is a reimagining of the first two, maybe even infinite with today’s technology but one that stays true to the original games

They should do a forge like thing from halo with the cut content or a beta deal so players can try the content. What works and is popular gets folded to canon scrap the unpopular

I will always be in the mindset that cutcontent could always be used but there are one like maybe one or two in this that you showed that wouldn't make any sense as for burial at Sea I actually really like that one it showed a part of rapture we never got to see a rapture in its heyday before everything went to hell

I think Infinite could have been so much better if the story didnt include infinite universe or they continued to criticize an ideology like 1&2 instead of "racism bad", if they don't want to get "political" then atleast make the emotional side of the story good like Minerva's Den

Man the Bioshock 2 multiplayer gameplay just makes me wish the servers were up and people were still playing. Also, you underestimate how racist people were to the Irish, bud. Daisy FITZROY (an Irish name) would make just as much sense being Irish and leading the revolution than if black.
