- I originally ahd another 20 minutes on this video talking in depth of how and when to use the fuzz pedal but I got my video blocked by the Hendrix Estate.
Anyway. I hope you like this video and I hope its informative.
I was going to put this up tomorrow so please ignore the end when i say that its saturday.

The day the Hendrix Estate will give money away is the same day that we will discover that this planet is actually flat.
Or they could just leave the damn guy alone and let him do his thing. I mean, fuck, is this video the same thing as listening to an actual Hendrix record? Of course not. You would think that the Hendrix estate would fucking realize this. The whole thing just pisses me off.
Hendrix did not write what made the composition to his music it's all from the billy robert hey joe what jimis best single all time was. Billy roberts riff opening hey joe is the root of the wall album and their main repeated walk down thru the album. Jimi does not get given sweat of brow for the natural extensions of pieces he did not write if the estate were to get sue happy again Thanks to Ed Sharron recent case and now that most of the riffs are known pentatonic and one has to write music to copywrite it and jimi couldn't we really really should be helping the other members sue Sony and the estate.... imo
To bring the right to play cover and sample music like jimi did!!!

mollem. Lol I know what you mean but I meant in the prime of his life. Still in his twenties we'll never know what he would have came up with in later years. The UK release of this as a single was in 1970 just after he died. It would have been the first time a lot of people would have heard it.

What is with the avarice of the Hendrix Estate? It is bizarre how his adopted sister and her lawyers aggressively police ANYTHING they feel is infringement. I'm surprised they aren't trying to charge anyone even trying to talk about Jimi these days. Considering Jimi died in 1970, it's getting a bit ridiculous. I'm waiting for her legal representation to place a ticket booth to visit Jimi's grave in Washington State. I think somebody is terrified of needing to work for a living or God forbid not be a parasite with the accomplishments of others...WTF?
agree, Jimi would be disgusted at her greed, her lies and how she and her supposed dad have treated his brother.
I refuse to buy anything she puts out, I get anything new from other sources (read free). If you want to really find some Jimi gems try try Soulseek or similar and type in Jimi Hendrix outtakes or studio and you will find a mountain of jimi working up[ songs, jamming outtakes etc.

Hey Dave, just discovered and subscribed to your channel. Your playing is amazing and your vids are entertaining. I have a Custom Shop '69 in one of my Strats and Fender vintage '65 in an other. I want to put either of these in another Strat I have (its a MIM Vintera 50's modified pickups a little to0 hot for my liking). I love both the 69 and 65 pickups and I am choosing between the two to put in the 3rd Strat. Before I do that I wanted to know what you have in your Strats (your olympic white and the lefty). I too love Jimi's tone. I know you probably can't respond to everyone if they posted a question, but would appreciate if you have the time. Thanks

I've been thinking too that it's more Fender than Marshall sound for this song. I have Fender 59 Bassman clone with JMP switch so i get both worlds but Bassman always sounds more voodoo.

What's really stupid about the blocking of it is that, people aren't coming here to hear the actual song, but to LEARN it, which means that during this process they will inevitably go and lookup the ACTUAL Hendrix song/video, and watch/listen to it (probably over and over -- I'm a guitarist myself; I know), which of course is in THEIR OWN interest. Their judgment is clearly clouded by selfish greed. But why would they block it based on that but not the intro and other parts, I'm wondering?
