The longest time I've gone with no sleep was 9 nights. I learned to stay away from stress and negative things.
But how. I really wanna know and learn how to deal with stress

Nothing quite like trying to get some sleep to be productive the next day only to have your own mind attack you and try to fall back to sleep while having a mini panic attack with thoughts if inability and despair.
What I’ve found most helpful with not sleeping is listening to guided meditations before bed. Ones with lots of black or brown noise in the background.
When I listen to what the person is saying and “allow” myself to be calm, my body tends to listen.
On nights when my adhd/anxiety is particularly persistent, I take a pill to help. Only every once in a while though.
Hope this was helpful!
❤
Whats brown or black noises??? 😮😮😮 [interest peaked]...
Me too! And I highly recommend the sleep-videos and the meditations of Jason Stephenson!! They made me throw away my sleep pills@@ChristinaMoralesMindfuqed

I’m glad you are sleeping better!
I got insomnia when my depression condition was worsen recently and was really struggle to get myself to bed, or even I get to sleep I will wake up somewhere in the middle of midnight. So I try on all the methods listed below:
1) aromatherapy like using relaxing balm, using lavender oil mixture in diffuser
2) taking sleep supplement with GABA
3) meditation
4) listen to relaxing music
5) stop eating any sweet things 2-3hour before bed
6) make sure I go for a walk or any kind of exercise at least 15mins
The smooth, gentle voices used in this youtube channel is the kind of assuringness and kindness I needed. Like you don't understand how nice it feels just to know that you care about us and make these videos that shed light on important topics. I am a newbie to this channel but I damn in love with it
Due to stimulants I have to take daily just to keep my Asperger’s in check, I have to take melatonin tablets in order to sleep at night, and yet I still can get those occasional sleepless nights, especially before a “big day.” Thanks for this video. It’ll definitely help me in the future
Sleep issues and autism go together like peanut butter and jelly. A lot of us have them with or without consuming stimulants.
taking melatonin can make your sleep schedule even worse in the long run so you have to take breaks from it
@@skaldlouiscyphre2453 try telling that to my younger, severely autistic brother who can fall asleep real easily. But then again, he doesn’t take stimulants so maybe that’s why 🤷♀️
@@armissu no melatonin, no sleep. No sleep, bad work ethic. Bad work ethic, no paycheck. So I don’t really have a choice

The things that keep ME awake at night:
-"It's too warm in here" (literally around 7 celsius)
-my sisters' demon-summoning/singing rituals at midnight
-"IS THERE A TEST TOMORROW?! Wait, no, it's saturday... DID I FINISH THE PROJECT?! Wait, still saturday..."
-The fly fighting for it's life trying to break through my window (I think it's buzzing so loud intentionally)
For me it's that I can not stop thinking. Trying not to think (or to think about nothing) is actually quite hard.
The thing is that I couldn't write down enough in a journal to stop me from thinking, because I always find a new 'topic' in an instant.

Did these people just post a video while thinking about my sleeping problems 😊
I sometimes still look at difficult times falling asleep linked unfinished business. The spirit won’t allow the body to rest. I’ve always found this thought encouraging.
Your gut health and diet is very important too ❤
Good information 🙂
Thank you! Needed this. 🙏❤️
Who's watching this at 3am
Yay, I have all 6 of them! Great!
Love it, love all the thing's that keep me up sometimes, and thanks for the info, also love all your content psych2go 💖💖💖
Does anyone know the music in the background? It’s very soothing and I’d like to listen to it whilst I study/ relax
Love this channel❤
I even heard recently from a doc it's best to let go off caffeine for at least 8h before going to bed.
I try doing so now, the biggest issue I have probably is things I still wanna do and the inner urge to sleep so I get some rest before my alarm clock goes real early in the morning.
Daytime savings happened now here in Europe, so I am curious to see how it goes for me.
Watching viseos on my phone actually helps me.relax at night and go to sleep. I have to listen to something before I fall asleep. Always have since I was a kid. ❤
Awesome tips, thank you 😊😊😊❤
YES!! YES! FINALLY!! I NEEDED THIS, TYSM, YOU ARE THE BEST
I need to get outside more. That's a big issue for me. My Vitamin D is low. Great video, thank you! I love the narrator's voice also, very soothing.
Wat a perfect timing oh
I frequently get insomnia and I'm just 16😭 I am jealous of my friends who fall asleep really quickly, but im trying my best to find issues that bother my sleep and resolve them❤ thank u for this video, it's very helpful❤
@2:50 quote: “Experts recommend getting at least 30 minutes of natural sunlight daily...”
What’s the Sun? I have not seen it for a few weeks. Been cold, rain and cloud here most days. One of my hobbies is amateur astronomy and I have not been out with my telescopes for months as the weather has been awful too!
Same in the eastern US 😅😅😅
Good information 😮 thanks

“So, which of these reasons is keeping you awake at night?”
*Oh just one or two no big deal.*
(has all of them)
Too active, phone time, not always though 😅😅😅
it's such a hard topic for me because i had insomnia since i was a child. since i remember myself. and i have trauma grounded on it because i was scared being alone at night when everyone sleeps..
pills help me now.
It's 1:30 am and my brain feels it's thinking a thousand thought a second.... And then i get this. Thanks Psych2Go & UA-cam
ASMR does wonders for me when I have insomnia
Yep, all of them. Plus I really dislike people, and most of them are gone at night.
I work third shift full-time so I can understand the lack of natural light. It took almost a year, but I was finally able to adjust my body to these hours.
The money is great, but man can mess with one’s mental health if it’s not in check
Obvious was the right title for this. "Have you heard that too much as screentime..." And as a lifelong insomniac i just started hearing the Fight Club section full of sad useless doctors advice people with serious sleep issues have heard a million times and tried at least a thousand. Have you tried chewing valerian root, chamomile tea, meditation...
Don't use screens at night, but don't continue to lay there for hours sleepless, also don't read an engaging book... Expose yourself to natural light, even though after days of no sleep it feels like torture. No caffeine, even if the waking world still expects functioning. Meditate, but didn't think about your problems.
Maybe scientists should consider these things tend to be common to the sleepless because of their sleeplessness instead of causing it.
All MUCH easier said than done.

Literally watching this at midnight 😊
It’s almost 2 am and I am full of energy
1 hours ago!! Im about to sleep. It helps
When I was a kid and had trouble sleeping, my mom told me to just not focus on anything at all. Don't let your mind dwell on any one thing. Sometimes it takes a while but it really does work.
I actually absolutely have no trouble with sleeping or find it difficult to fall asleep to be quite perfectly honest with You right now My dear friends from Psych2go Thank You very incredibly much for posting this video though !!!🥰💜💯
Watching this while having issues due to anxiety and pain is why I can't sleep
This drop literally after I stayed awake in bed all night I just couldn't sleep
I have Septo Optic Dysplasia and CPTSD. Septo Optic Dysplasia can cause sleep problems. Same with CPTSD. I’ve found ways to control my sleep when it comes to the CPTSD. But with SOD and sleep, you can try to control it, but the brain and the body just don’t want to do it. I’ve found listening to calming music throughout the night to help tremendously. Using a weighted blanket has also helped me as well. I can’t see light, but I stop screen time at 9:00, unless I’m watching a stream on Friday and Saturday, then I’ll cut myself some slack. Breathing has also helped me get back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night, or I focus on the music, and let it take me to the safe place I’ve created in my heart.
I have major depressive disorder, and I can not fall asleep till like 6 am
Working the graeyard shift in new hampshire getting used yo it and liking it too much. Thats my problem. My hours after work are more valuable where i work pretty late now.
My reason of why I can’t sleep is neither of these, but because when I CLOSE MY EYES, SOME RANDOM WHITE SHAPE JUST ZOOM IN AND KEEP DISTRACTING ME😭
did you look at something very bright? when you close your eyes after looking at something bright, it will look like a shape.
@@hashlol1559 no?
@@No_name3654 idk best i can say is see a doctor.

Literally couldnt sleep until 4:30 AM, then this shows up 😭
(I do have problems sleeping tho, been happening for a while now)
Wow I feel really called out
I relate to all these because I have a lot to do and there was a time where I slept for 30 mins and this cycle has been going for 3 months now.
Some people use weed or thc edibles to help them get to sleep, but it actually negatively effects REM sleep which helps your body recover during sleep
I take remeron, works like a charm lol
I don't sleep very well when my blood pressure goes up from Pain!!!! It gets super extremely painful but I don't want to have to rely on something to help me sleep that would be another thing to have to rely on taking or something or doing so by the time I try to wear my mind out where my mind down or something I don't know and I'm always alone I just have to accept that being alone. but then there's times I get worried about someone. And not wanting to miss anything with someone because I enjoy living I'm actually really in love with living just not with pain..
When my wife and I were younger we'd fool around whole day and never had trouble sleeping. Ah... To be young again. 😩
All of the above 🙂🙃☕cheers, love you guys❤
I meet all the criteria 😅🎉🎉
Crazy how this pulled up as I can't go back to sleep
4:30am
When I can't sleep, it's not worry, temperature, hunger, are too close to bed, nothing. I do the same routine, and end up lying there lol usual waiting for sleep and just...it doesn't happen. No racing mind, just unable to fall asleep.
"Something is keeping you awake" well nothing changes since yesterday and I slept like a baby then so..what the hell brain???
Poor sleep makes a person feel like he is in a foot race with no finish.
I m on the edge... I cannot eat, cannot eat... Having depression, anxiety for more than 10 years, half of my life. Doctors, medis, therapy no longer help, things got numb long time ago. I m really tired.
It's just getting worse since this year. I didn't go out for more than a month. I dun want to see anyone or go anywhere.
I once suicide 10 years before. The only way for reducing stress are cutting my arm n taking 10 times more pills to force my brain to stop.
I m in pain... for such a long time... I m giving up...
Im so sorry i feel so bad for you. I cant really give you any advice i guess. Please just dont give up... You deserve to find the luck okay? Stay positive you are not here alone im so proud of you ❤
Yay

My personal secret to sleep: crunch up melatonin meltaway and focus on the inside of your eyelids while the rest of it melts. In short order, a visual will appear and begin to morph into god knows what, entertaining you as drift away. Not expected to work for everybidy.
That's why I set my phone to adaptive brightness♡
Would checking the time on your phone count as screen time before bed?
For me it's for sure anxiety and my phone 📱. More because of anxiety mainly because of the daily stress in life and my health plays a big part in why. I also say my phone 📱 because, I catch myself listening to one more video just before bed but, at the exact same time. I have to hear natural sounds like rain 🌧️ to relax my mind from overthinking when the seasons come when I can't turn on the AC for cool air and my seizure med (though makes me drowsy 24/7) isn't enough alone to help me go to sleep 🥱.
Mine is definatly depression,PTSD,& anxioty.
& its gotton so worse.
I am ALWAYS so tired & much more.
I just CANNOT ,....CANNOT deal with ANY of it much longer.
*gotten
i have insomnia cus as soon as i want to sleep i think of scary images like valak and all :)
Things that ruin your sleep
1) family
That's right, for me it improves even if the last drink before going to bed is not black tea but some kind of herbal tea.
I've had a reason for sleep troubles all my life, and it's got nothing to do with psychology: it's sleep apnea, caused by a deviated septum.
The narrator wishing the audience sweet dreams is too perfect lol
Bro it's been a long time I had a good sleep even if I catch sleep for 4 hours when I wake up I feel even weak
terrible sleep length
Almost all of those are affecting my sleep, to be honest.
I had to get medicine bc of this and ever since I saw this video it found my interests
thanks phych2go 😌😌😌😌
bruh getting this after 4 days of sleeplessness 😭 thankfully i managed to get a couple of hours today although disruptive and full of nightmares lol the funny thing is i have all of these reasons (except the too much caffeine) and i used to fall and stay asleep normally i wonder what went wrong
Reason 7: My pillow is warm on both sides
Damn….
This is so real
Why are you such a hot head?
I have been having a hard time sleeping due to my disability, Autism. My mom has been making me what she & I call a "cozy potion" every night.
Overthinking all the way! But I can sleep fine as long as I have sound on my headphones at night
As someone who woke up 3 hours after falling asleep a few hours ago, *falls asleep onto table*

I’ve literally had none to 5 hour sleep now my mums in heaven I go to sleep at 20:00 and wake up at 13:00
I've been having trouble lately falling back asleep around 2 or 3 in the morning.

My skincare routine serves as a bedtime ritual❤
My brain doesn’t let me sleep most of the time due to having ADHD and just having a highly creative mind. My brain tends to think about various things and it makes it harder for me to fall asleep.
im just afraid to sleep because ive been missing my bus lately no matter how much sleep I got.
