Hayo1706 well it’s not the fact that it’s just “blue” it’s the light in general too. But unless they test it on humans properly, we don’t know for sure. But one thing is true, any activity before bed will make you less tired. If you get in the Habit of laying down at the same exact time of day, your biological rhythms will follow and you will be more likely to be tired enough to fall as sleep if you don’t break the timing cycle and don’t do anything before bed that could spike your brain activity.

I’m the type of person that falls asleep really quick most nights and love a really warm bed. So your number one sounds crazy to me.
It's the same with me. I usually even sleep fine in heat waves, whereas a cold room can keep me awake for hours. Also: screens have absolutely zero effect on my sleep.
I used to suffer from panic attacks multiple times a day. It affected my ability to fall asleep most nights. I eventually made a full recovery from my panic attacks but struggled with pretty bad insomnia. I would try so hard to fall asleep. Just laying there with my eyes closed for hours. Eventually, I came up with a way to observe my thoughts while trying to sleep the same way I learned to observe my thoughts and feelings during a panic attack. Worked great and never had a problem falling asleep again. Now, I do a mix of that along with a mindset of not trying to fall asleep at all. I don’t care about the time, if my mind starts racing, etc. it just doesn’t matter. With this approach, I can fall asleep in what feels like an instant. Anyways, hope this helps someone or at least gets you to think about a different approach.

This will affect your sleep because the “ blue light” that radiates of of screens will keep you up at night. If you need to go on your screen before you sleep often, I recommend some “blue light glasses” they are very cheap and you can get them at any store. Hope this helps 😊

My way to fall asleep fast is:
I take a deep breath and close my eyes. Than I’m just going to play a story in my head. Just a imaginary story I suddenly come up with. This works for me, cuz I’m asleep in no time. I also repeat one story several nights sometimes, and then it develops to a writing idea!!

ALSO! Heres my tip (its not really a tip but it might be one of the reasons why you can’t fall asleep!) Drink a good amount of water during the day, so your mind will be more fresh, BUT, do not drink like a whole glass of water right before sleeping, it will cause you to want to pee, which will distract you A LOT when you will try to sleep.

This seems like a good video to start with on my new routine I’ve been thinking of I was also thinking of having a special smoothie about 45 minutes before bed this is what the smoothie would have in it: 1. Milk 2. Yogurt 3. Strawberries 4. Bananas 5. Dark chocolate (just a little bit) and 6. Honey. I found all of these things as stuff that will help you sleep and I thought it would be good to try
All this food in your stomach will keep your digestive system busy while you wat to put your body to sleep. Why would you do this? A lot of fructose (sugar=sugar) gives you direct energy.

Certain sounds make me sleepy, like the swishing of a top loading washing machine, the cat purring, or, the ticking of a mechanical timer (I have one wired up to my TV to turn the sound back on after a set period of time). Even if I leave the TV on, the sounds of an old movie with car chases or shootouts will make me sleepy if they are not too loud. There were some clock radios in the 1980s (Sony Dream Machine??) that gradually lowered the volume at night to make it easier to fall asleep; I've seen some iHome models in recent years that also have that feature.

Try a yoga nidra recording on UA-cam. It uses the same relaxation technique as the last tip. But it takes you out your own mind listening to someone else. Helps me sometimes.
