Well, maybe the algorithm is not capable of evaluating the artistic qualities inherent in Foresty's videos, but the audience can certainly discern them. I consider him to be an artist of the first order, and every episode is a visual treasure.
I just wish that he would compile some of his footage into something that could be submitted to one of the mountain film festivals, so that his tremendous talent could be more widely recognized.

I'm not ashamed to admit that one of the big reasons that I watch your videos, is to look at the beautiful landscapes, as there is a huge lack of them were I live :).
They are covered in urban sprawl in the United States.
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot...
Weird! It's bizarre to me that anyone could think enjoying these beautiful landscapes has even the smallest amount of shame.
Can't remember how long I've been watching Forestry - three years? - but every now and then I just feel obliged to say how much I enjoy every video he posts. Everything is enjoyable - the hikes, the spectacular scenery, the camera work, the music, the cooking, Rocko, the idle chitchat, etc. etc. etc. Thanks Foresty! 🙂👌

Watching the first edition slow cooker episodes as they happened was a true highlight of UA-cam.
I have the identical slow cooler except mine has a plastic lid. I think it was a Christmas present around 45 years ago. It still works perfectly. That was one of the reasons that I started watching FF. I was soon hooked on his videos for different reasons. Amazing views in this video!

God this is such good content. I get into these death spirals of To Catch a Predator and watching one of your videos is like having your soul believe in people again.

Side note…. I live in a space we don’t get many vanlife adventurers around here on my local day hike mountain bike trail. But today a van showed up with a rack on back. I didn’t see the occupant but walking the trail I kept being passed by a guy on his bike that smelled like baby wipes.
Made me think of Foresty Forest joking he wipes his meat with a baby wipe and smiled… found the vanlife dude by his baby wipe aroma. 🤣

Great video again Foresty! It's so strange to see how similar Canada looks to Norway. The countries are so far apart but looks almost identical. Alaska and the three terretories of Canada looks just like northern Norway, or mabye it's just a typical arctic look. Love your videos and Rocco is the best girl : )

Great hike & great meal. A tip: When using eggplant, to get rid of the bitter taste & also make it firmer, you should brine it first by sprinkling it with salt after sliced & let it sit for 20 minutes, then it fries up without getting soggy.👍
Do you remove the salt somehow before cooking?
@@Nowindresistance no it will disappear in the liquid that comes out because the eggplant sweats out the bitter taste. It makes a difference in the preparation. You can also brine it in salted water then dry it off after.

To make a proper Béchamel sauce you first want to add the butter to a pan, melt it, put in the flour to make a roux and cook it so just starting to turn to a golden color and then slowly whisk in your milk or cream. Simmer for 10-20 min stirring frequently and add your spices and salt. By cooking the flour and butter together first before adding the milk or cream it cooks the flour taste out of the roux, you do not want to taste flour in the final product. Making a roux this way is similar to the start of southern sausage gravy except you would use the rendered fat from cooking the breakfast sausage instead of butter and then put your sausage gravy over scratch made biscuits. If you make sausage gravy do not forget the hardy dose of fresh ground black pepper.
