I still look forward to your videos every week, and hope you keep at it, but don’t fall into the trap of “I’m x age, therefore I can’t achieve this goal.” You’re doing an amazing job of mitigating the challenges, and showing us flatlanders how it’s done. The Canadian Rockies are so beautiful. I’m going to have to point my toes that way soon and see some of them myself.
Yep, at 68 I rode half of the Great Divide Mtn Bike Route. Bike toured twice across the U.S. since retiring. It does get harder, and I do get slower, but like my father used to say, "Keep moving or they'll start shoveling dirt in your face."
I look at a mountaineering UA-cam channel called "Alan Arnette", and he successfully climbed the famous Pakistani mountain K2 when he was 58 years old! I think that Foresty is just getting started! It is all a matter of physical conditioning, one's skill set, and one's mental attitude and motivation to achieve a goal!! 🌏 💙

It is possible. When I was 16 I climbed 10,400’ Glacier Peak from base Camp at 5000’, then ran 15 miles out to the trailhead at 1000’. My overnight pack and climbing gear weighed about 40 pounds. I was totally tapped out by the end. Roman legions would march as far as 35 miles in a day carrying weapons. People can be very strong and determined if motivated.
@Foresty Forest With all due respect, me and my wife love your vids, and I've been on many 100-mile bike rides and hikes, and I'm amazed at what you and Rocco accomplish. My last hike to Mount Whitney was a day trip, but it was a fraction of what you were able to accomplish, so I had to ask. We're 60 now, so I'll just have to admit that you younger guys are able to pull off things that I never could've done or even conceived of doing. Peace and love...
