I did 50 knee pushups for 2 weeks and I’m so close to doing a full push-up. I can finally push myself off the ground but I’m getting stronger. All you need is patience and time. If you’ve done 10 wall pushups, that’s an achievement in its own! Keep trying and trying until you will succeed. 😄

I've had mandatory gym at school 1-2 hours a week for oer 10 years and every time I was told to do push-ups I always asked them how I was supposed to do it, and they always ignored me and just expected that I should already know somehow. I really wish those gym teachers could just have told me immediately, I mean, they were supposed to be my teachers. At least now I may finally be able to do push-ups properly :D
My coach is a bit nicer he just builds us up and says "Everyone is at a different level some can do it,some will get it eventually and some need more time then others"

1. Keep feet an inch apart from each other or touching. 2. Don't stick your butt in the air. 3. Keep your body in a solid line (tighten your core). 4. Wall push ups (don't use momentum). 5. Knee push ups. 6. Half push ups (have a basketball, or a ball similar in size, place it under your pelvis and proceed with push ups, you can also move the ball to your chest). 7. Full push ups (nose touches ground). Do two or three sets until failure or until you've reached the progression standard.

@@mohammadakod9359 it might, depends on your metabolism. Personally, those exercise made my triceps stronger to prepare for actual push-ups. I was overweight when starting with 122kg, mostly fat. It was the start of a personal journey to make sports. After a 8 weeks I felt I had better arms to start doing proper push-ups. And since I felt doing sports I started go swimming. At that point I reached 114kg. And a stable weight, not some yo-yo mesures. But pandemic broke out and stopped everything. I got back to 122kg but with better arms. So i made a bet with a friend to loose weight during the pandemic. We started calisthenics exercises inspired from several videos. I am now stable at 99kg with a better frame. Got even at 89kg but calculation of calories intake maj'de me crazy. I dropped this logic and went to the palms size of ingredients. Some got wrong but it is easier to maintain for months. With regular exercises every day and a good sleep (mine's 7 hours) I passed from a big fat looking guy to a tall guy with a little fat tire. Which is way better from where i started. Regularity and common sense are key. It is a long haul to get fit but it is worth it. Tldr : to loose weight, it's a 3 pillar system, train right, eat right, rest right. If one is bad, all gains are gone. You can start with these but to have hard gains. It needs hard efforts.

This has helped me so much. Before I couldn't do even a single knee push up but now I can do three regular ones. I am still trying to get stronger so I will able to do more, but all I can say is thank you so much I am so happy this has worked so good.

I used to be 48 kg but now I am only 43. I tought I was fat and wanted to lose weight but ended up ruining my metsbolism and losing all my muscle. I am trying to recover though.

if you're going through the comments to check if this works this is for you:(it does) for years i couldn't do a single push up, i watched tons of youtube videos but they seemed too complicated this one was fairly simple but you have to stick with it and do it in the right order with patience i honestly didn't count how long it took me to do the first push up but i think around 2 weeks even though i'm fairly fit, i can do more than 10 in a row now thanks to this video but it took a long time to get here
In a normal pushup, I literally just plop onto the ground while going to the ground (either my whole body or my legs) but I can get up easily. I'm a girl and my arms are as thin as anything, I'd love to be able to do even one pushup. For now I'm doing 3 sets of 10 reps a day of tabletop pushups (I do several more before sleeping while I'm in my bed) and as many wall pushups as I can (I did 40 just then) until I can do 2 sets of 50 reps. Wish me luck...

1 month ago I can only do a single push-up. I started doing wall push ups 50 x 2 a day for 2 weeks. After that, I started doing knee push ups 50 a day for 2 weeks. Now, I can do 12 push ups in one go and can make 100 push ups a day. Trust the process, its only hard in the beginning.

Carrie Kasey all of those require a different set of muscles. If you're not using your chest no matter how fit you are you won't be able to do them. Just keep at it. If you're that fit it just takes the same dedication to do a few dozen a day.
Guys just dont give up and dont listen to smartasses who laugh at you for your inability to do pushups. I did it. He did it. You can. Dont make excuse and think about it. Can you really train or are you actually super injured to the point that you can't? Other than that, excuses wre just lies that you create and convince yourself to believe. I started and i couldnt do a single pushups and i'd plop to the ground because of how heavy i am, but as long as you stay persistent youll get results you want.
A good midle ground is elevated pushups. You can do them on a bench or a chair. It helps you to straighten your body and help you with your final goal the standard pushup

What you said, as respectful as possible, is that due to a host of reasons not being able to do pushups is not abnormal, but you can build up the strength and form to do them in time through regular practice. I'm game!!!

I don't know if anybody is watching this in 2022, but this video really helped me out! I'm on a pushup challenge and I did all of these steps during my challenge. And now I'm able to do at least 5 pushups! It may not be a lot but that's still MAJOR improvement for me. (In 3wks or less) Also, For anybody out there, Make sure to go to the gym! I remember when still in my 40’s while I was in the military. They counted 88 good push ups on my last PT test. I’m 63 and retired I started in a gym as I gained weight due to thyroid and stress disorder. I can’t even do 1 push. I couldn’t even do a plank at least I can now. Came back to comment - I watched this video three days ago, having never done a real push up before. I started with wall push ups, and could hardly do fifteen in a row. I think I made myself do 25 in three sets! But today, after three days of doing 25-50 wall push ups over one day (not all at once), I was able to do two sets of 50 wall push ups!! I’m really proud of that and I plan to start again tomorrow further out from the wall before transitioning to knee push ups. Good luck to everyone!
Sorry but I think push ups with knees are so basic. In PE you must do push up for the exam, and you need to do the standars. Only if you see that you are so weak, you can do with knees, but this it's less points in your calcification. Also, when I was a kid I Played handball, and we had to do push ups, and this was not difficult. Yhea, I only did 4 or 5,but I did it. How people can't do an any single push up standard?
this is a better way to get to do a full push up like if this helped. 4 sets of 50 wallups eachday untill you can do 100 in one set once you have done that do 6 sets of 20 knee ups untill you can do 3 sets of 50 knee ups and then once you have done that then you do 4 sets of 14 half push ups untill you can do 8 sets of 12 half push ups hope it helped know you can do a full push up💪💪💪
I have RA and my wrists cannot take the pressure that comes from a floor push-up but I have been doing the wall push-up and it has been helping a lot :)

I wasn't even searching for a video on Push-ups...it popped up after I watched another video on the rise-and-fall of Tommy Morrison. I wish I had found/discovered this video a year ago, it would have been a game-changer for me...well, it still is because now I can build my way up to doing a proper push-up. I have been doing the Wall Push-ups for a while now, only my hands were much higher on the wall and doing more reps. Now, I will start doing the Wall Push-ups with my hands closer to my chest. I have been doing the Knee Push-ups for a while also, only I wasn't crossing my legs at the ankles and again, my hands were much higher. Now, I will do the Knee Push-ups with my hands much closer to my chest. Now, I need to find one of these videos for Sit-ups and running!!! Thanks for sharing these great tips!!!
I remember coming to this video about 5 months ago without being able to do 1 pressup. Now i can do 32 consecutive pressups, it may not be allot to some people but i have only recently started to even try anything with fitness and once u start to see change it really pushes you to go further. I haven't been doing sets, but I started about 3 weeks ago. 1st week couldn't do 1 pushup. 2nd week able to do 1 pushup. 3rd week able to do 2 pushups. During this period I did isometric exercises for about 15 secs. a few times a day. 1st week I also did planks. Was able to do for about 15 seconds. 2nd week was able to do 30 seconds 3rd week 1 minute. For me doing the sets was too hard for me, but by doing different exercises each week I was able to increase the amount of time or repetitions. I find this is working better for me. I am a 65 year old man, and have been sitting and laying down for a long time just watching TV. This year I decided to make a change and at least get into better shape and try to lose my stomach and love handles. Thanks for the tutorial. I did like the different pushups you were doing. I think I will add them to my weekly regimen.

Where does it hurt? It was hurting my wrist so I wore a wrist brace and that helped. You can wear brace to support your arms or back if it hurts.

if you're going through the comments to check if this works this is for you:(it does) for years i couldn't do a single push up, i watched tons of youtube videos but they seemed too complicated this one was fairly simple but you have to stick with it and do it in the right order with patience i honestly didn't count how long it took me to do the first push up but i think around 2 weeks even though i'm fairly fit, i can do more than 10 in a row now thanks to this video but it took a long time to get here

In a normal pushup, I literally just plop onto the ground while going to the ground (either my whole body or my legs) but I can get up easily. I'm a girl and my arms are as thin as anything, I'd love to be able to do even one pushup. For now I'm doing 3 sets of 10 reps a day of tabletop pushups (I do several more before sleeping while I'm in my bed) and as many wall pushups as I can (I did 40 just then) until I can do 2 sets of 50 reps. Wish me luck...

1 month ago I can only do a single push-up. I started doing wall push ups 50 x 2 a day for 2 weeks. After that, I started doing knee push ups 50 a day for 2 weeks. Now, I can do 12 push ups in one go and can make 100 push ups a day. Trust the process, its only hard in the beginning.

Carrie Kasey all of those require a different set of muscles. If you're not using your chest no matter how fit you are you won't be able to do them. Just keep at it. If you're that fit it just takes the same dedication to do a few dozen a day.

A good midle ground is elevated pushups. You can do them on a bench or a chair. It helps you to straighten your body and help you with your final goal the standard pushup
Thank you so much for posting this. I thought something was wrong with me because I can not do pushups. What you said, as respectful as possible, is that due to a host of reasons not being able to do pushups is not abnormal, but you can build up the strength and form to do them in time through regular practice. I'm game!!!

I don't know if anybody is watching this in 2022, but this video really helped me out! I'm on a pushup challenge and I did all of these steps during my challenge. And now I'm able to do at least 5 pushups! It may not be a lot but that's still MAJOR improvement for me. (In 3wks or less)

I remember when still in my 40’s while I was in the military. They counted 88 good push ups on my last PT test. I’m 63 and retired I started in a gym as I gained weight due to thyroid and stress disorder. I can’t even do 1 push. I couldn’t even do a plank at least I can now. Thx for sharing I want to get in shape to feel better with myself at my age. Specially now on a weight lost journey. Woohoo 🙌🏼 😊

Came back to comment - I watched this video three days ago, having never done a real push up before. I started with wall push ups, and could hardly do fifteen in a row. I think I made myself do 25 in three sets! But today, after three days of doing 25-50 wall push ups over one day (not all at once), I was able to do two sets of 50 wall push ups!! I’m really proud of that and I plan to start again tomorrow further out from the wall before transitioning to knee push ups. Good luck to everyone!

Sorry but I think push ups with knees are so basic. In PE you must do push up for the exam, and you need to do the standars. Only if you see that you are so weak, you can do with knees, but this it's less points in your calcification. Also, when I was a kid I Played handball, and we had to do push ups, and this was not difficult. Yhea, I only did 4 or 5,but I did it. How people can't do an any single push up standard?

this is a better way to get to do a full push up like if this helped.
4 sets of 50 wallups eachday untill you can do 100 in one set once you have done that do 6 sets of 20 knee ups untill you can do 3 sets of 50 knee ups and then once you have done that then you do 4 sets of 14 half push ups untill you can do 8 sets of 12 half push ups hope it helped know you can do a full push up💪💪💪

I wasn't even searching for a video on Push-ups...it popped up after I watched another video on the rise-and-fall of Tommy Morrison. I wish I had found/discovered this video a year ago, it would have been a game-changer for me...well, it still is because now I can build my way up to doing a proper push-up. I have been doing the Wall Push-ups for a while now, only my hands were much higher on the wall and doing more reps. Now, I will start doing the Wall Push-ups with my hands closer to my chest. I have been doing the Knee Push-ups for a while also, only I wasn't crossing my legs at the ankles and again, my hands were much higher. Now, I will do the Knee Push-ups with my hands much closer to my chest. Now, I need to find one of these videos for Sit-ups and running!!! Thanks for sharing these great tips!!!

I remember coming to this video about 5 months ago without being able to do 1 pressup. Now i can do 32 consecutive pressups, it may not be allot to some people but i have only recently started to even try anything with fitness and once u start to see change it really pushes you to go further. I haven't been doing sets, but I started about 3 weeks ago. 1st week couldn't do 1 pushup. 2nd week able to do 1 pushup. 3rd week able to do 2 pushups. During this period I did isometric exercises for about 15 secs. a few times a day. 1st week I also did planks. Was able to do for about 15 seconds. 2nd week was able to do 30 seconds 3rd week 1 minute. For me doing the sets was too hard for me, but by doing different exercises each week I was able to increase the amount of time or repetitions. I find this is working better for me. I am a 65 year old man, and have been sitting and laying down for a long time just watching TV. This year I decided to make a change and at least get into better shape and try to lose my stomach and love handles. Thanks for the tutorial. I did like the different pushups you were doing. I think I will add them to my weekly regimen.
