      Technically speaking the wrong way IS the right way, these push-ups are intentionally inefficient so that you can get all the muscles working at maximum exertion, the bad form ones are lazy because, as is human nature, we are driven to burn as little energy as possible. Keep doing the correct ones though.

    • @chicoti3
      @chicoti3 5 років тому +137

      @@clankplusm Since the objective here is not to do an efficient motion but to engage the muscle, obviously the "wrong way" is not the right way.

      @master.9202 2 роки тому +15

      @@ghostwidmost Well if you really want to improve, then do this, and trust me even if it sounds dumb. You should start with doing push-ups from a wall. You are still pushing your body, only less force is necessary. When you feel confident, move on to something more difficult. Use a chair or a table or anything that lets you do push-ups in a certain angle between floor and wall. Then after a few days of this, you should be able to complete your normal push-up.
      I couldn't do a single push-up too a few months ago, but I did what I said to do above, and after two weeks I managed to do 10 push-ups. It's all about consistency. You can do it king 👑

    Although there are different variations for a pushup, the best way and right way is to keep the back flat while keeping ht hips level with the shoulders, keeping the knees bent as well, and when you move to do a pushup, move slightly forward and down in an arcing motion and then return to the original position. always press from the palm and the tips of the fingers and imagine you are trying to press through the floor when performing the pushups. make sure to keep the knees slightly bent and also the hips/glute area higher. you will get a great pump out of this.

    I don't usually comment on fitness videos but I have to say this is *truly* the best video for doing push-ups correctly. I tried for years to do push-ups and they always destroyed my left shoulder to the point where it would ache for like 2 days. Even doing 10 pushups for 1 set could only be done if I was highly motivated. I watched this video and after doing push-ups throughout the day for 4 days a week for 2 weeks, I can now do 20 pushups in one set and not feel like my left shoulder is dying lmao
    Thank you for putting this video out

    this method 100% really worked for me but I discovered this method by total accident on my own. in our prayer we have to lay down in our belly (akin to pushup)on ground. when I pick myself up after lying down I used my hands just like in this video. after some time I thought "can I stiffen my core?" tried it. finally I can do 5 pushups with proper form.
