My son wanted to buy fresh strawberries and also blueberries at the grocery. A package of blueberries (4 oz.) was $4.50. I said let's look in the frozen food section. Found 12 oz package of blueberries for $2.50. I think frozen is often much cheaper than fresh.

Good thinking Jibbie49! It pays to try the frozen aisle, especially when fresh fruits and veggies are out of season.

Found that the big bags of almonds packaged for cooking are cheaper than the bags with almonds that are roasted and salted at the huge discount store. Plus the cooking almonds are truly natural so you can eat them plain or roast/salt/season them your own way. I like to keep almonds in my car and at work for healthy snacks.

thanks for all your great vids!! btw, delicious in Thai is 'aroi mak'. ☺ i think that a lot of foods, like cuban pan de bistec and cajun red beans and rice taste better without meat.

Sad I love rice and can't eat it. It plugs me up. It causes me to have bowl blockage.

not only do you save $$ at the grocery store, but you spend less on healthcare too! Data consistently shows that vegetarians/vegans have much less occurrence of top diseases in America and spend much less time at the doctor.
