As for my comment on the ghouls thing, obviously we've known that ghouls can rot at different levels and at different times that just makes sense. What i was specifically referring to is the idea we have now that all these different ghoul designs can co-exist. That before someone ends up looking like a Ghoul from Fallout 1 they'll probably look like a ghoul from Fallout 3 and before that a ghoul from Fallout 4.
My wild card theory is the show’s brotherhood and their new fondness for Red comes from them taking over the legion, hence their resurgence compared to where they were in new Vegas. Plus, their big base looked Mojave-adjacent, and we know Caesar’s brain tumour would make him toss his last salad shortly after new Vegas even if you don’t kill him yourself.
@@snowycity Great Video, one of the few youtubers who actually analyzed the show I hope season 2 isn't a dissapointment, I hope that Yes man won, I think Mr house was killed and Hank is gonna be surprised about that, or Yes man might try to act like him or something I think it would be hilarious if the legion won, or that it remained stable with Lanius, I hope Marcus and primm slim are alive, alongside Raul and Ulysses, imagine Raul and the Ghoul, they're almost the same character, maybe they met I just realized that
If I had to guess the canon ending will end up being Mr. House. We see him in the Vault Tech meeting in episode 8 so they already have someone cast for the role, plus if he stayed involved with Vault Tech then maybe he has some sort of part in a larger plan or has a piece of tech that is Hank’s motivation for paying New Vegas a visit. Plus it’s a really easy way to keep the Courier from showing up, House promises you access to life-extending technology after you work for him so by the time the show roles around the Courier would pry already be in a House-style iron long and out of sight.
An IGN interview confirmed the NCR still are around and that well see more about them and Shady in season 2. Today we also had the showrunners implying that the ending and credits arent necessarily a hard canon event and mostly just an implication that shit has changed since NV but left it vague.
Overall. I was so suprised! I was expecting something to the quality of the Halo TV Show. I liked the show. I loved the Prewar stuff and the Vault stuff. Me and my brother since the start was predicting what the Vault experiment was so we were invested in that plotline. About the nuking of Shady Sands, I just hope the NCR isnt destroyed fully. Thoughts on the Cameos of Mr. House and Sinclair in the prewar plotline in the last episode?
I think the house cameo was really kool. I was definitely lookin like those pointing wojaks when he popped up. Just a little worried it'll mean House won because i am THE NUMBER 1 wild card route fan!
If the courier is still alive, they probably would be on a mission during the events of the show and be only mentioned in passing. Though imagine NV was actually all a dream and the courier died in Goodsprings and they went with that idea instead. Chilling to think about.
Wonderful stuff man. Normally I'd leave some kind of weird comment or inside joke about blumboisms but you really did great here. I've been really happy watching you grow!
I would love an underdog comeback story about the NCR. I feel like Season 1has set the Brotherhood up to be hated, because it made me hate them so much that I replayed NV and 4 with the express intent of turning their bases to craters.
While watching the show I’ve got a this weird sense of Deja Vu, like I recall hearing about Vault-Tec starting the Last War being planned for one of the old Interplay/Black Isle Fallout games a while back, and I think Vault-Tec nuking Shady Sands was mentioned back then too, but I could be misremembering.
Really enjoyed this view. I think my main thing I'm worried for is how they handle New Vegas - I just love Vegas. It looked pretty fucked in that still at the end of the show but I suppose that technically could mean nothing.
I think that, as a whole, this is a boon for the world Fallout. The thing I was really mad about people not getting the timeline. 2277 was the First Battle of Hoover Dam. The nuking of Shady happened after 2282, y'know after FNV. Keep up the good shit man.
I watched the series with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed it. She had never watched me play Fallout so i started with Fallout 3 but like 2 hours into the game she got bored. She said the game was not like the show so I started to play Fallout 4 but it was the same thing with her. She said the characters, comedy, dialogue and other things from the show are completely different from the games. I didn't know what to think of this but I watched the Fallout tv show two more times alone this time and the more I think about it the more it feels like the Fallout tv show has Borderlands characters and dialogue in. Fallout skin. The only thing I didn't like from my first viewing when I loved the show was the depiction of Brotherhood Paladin with Paladin Titus, having a Paladin act like a buffoon, cursing all over and running away from an enemy while wearing power armor and being armed landed flat.
honestly the biggest issue is that it should have been in new location like Texas or Michigan and not some place we already been so it could just it's own thing separate from the games
i geniunely really liked the show! youve pretty much summed up all of what I thought of the show tbh, but i really do hope that bethseda changes who the lead writer of the fallout games are I have little to no hope trusting the keys to the fallout games writing to Emil (head writer of fallout 3, 4 and 76), since a lot, and I mean a lot, of really poorly thought out story lines and dialogue come from his leadership in the writing. they probably need some sort of design doc to keep a canon timeline together for any future games they plan to make itd be nice if future fallout games have a bit more depth to the characters, more harder choices to make, etc etc. I think that is really shown well in the fallout tv show (minus the choices) and what i think lacking in the modern fallout games tbh
5:43 I'll be honest, rewatching that with a friend that line had me in stitches for about 5 solid minutes. Maybe it was because he didn't even smirk, but I'm grinning now even as I type this and I don't care how low brow it is xD
SnowySpitty was spitting facts in this one. Maybe the downfall is unconfirmed⁉⁉ Anyway fr tho great video, I agree with basically everything you said. I am anxiously awaiting Season 2, as I have faith it will be good now. I really hope Bethesda themselves takes some notes on this show on how to write fallout/elder scrolls/slopfield games in the future, because this caliber of story is exactly what I desire in those games! Enderal, New Vegas, Cyberpunk, and Baldur's Gate 3 are all also really great examples of what I want to see Bethesda finally evolve to, instead of their tropey "find your relative! oh no they are the bad guy!" crap that I am sick and tired of (which SPOILERS of course this season still does but does it better IMO).
