I remember exploring fallout 3 as a kid and got to a certain hill in the game where there was a weird kinda creepy Chinese broadcast you could pick up where it had Morse code or something. Idk if I'm remembering that right but I remember being incredibly freaked out and had to stop playing that specific save because of how scared I got. Idk where it is or if I can find it again, And if I'm correct I thought there was some kind of creepypasta based off that radio station too but I could be wrong. It was on my ps3 so there weren't any mods or anything and I also had the normal game not the goty edition one EDIT: Just looked it up and apparently it was a downed Chinese pilot radio beacon. Couldn't remember because everytime I played fallout 3 after that moment I had never found the station again so I thought it was either just something my little kid brain misremembered or just something completely strange that happened

With how effective the story is at making you think it COULD be real i do wonder why nobody has made a mod about it yet Jusy think about it. You kill one too many people in DC/New Vegas, make a few little evil decisions, (Probably randomize them so there's no defined path which would help the weird factor) then suddenly when you turn on GNR or RNV their hosts voices go monotone and spout random numbers at you, would lowk scare ts out of me even if ik i modded it in my game

Halloween is basically the Celtic month of November in our respective languages it is the entire month people think it's a one day celebration. but we would have called it something instead of naming it after the entire month if it wasn't supposed to be the entire month and it's still November k Tachwedd Samhain. Halloween likely began in the Boyne valley and spread to Wales from their and throughout the rest of the Celtic world. the Spanish brought it to Mexico solidifying it as the oldest global holiday predating anything else by thousands of years. Unless Diwali suddenly becomes a global holiday it doesn't look signs of changing India Africa an Australia are the only places on earth with older traditions.

I hate that every creepypasta about predictions always ends with "oh no, catastrophe that may or may not have something to do with humanity will kill us all!"

I do think the point of the feral ghoul's was to mimic the effects of exposure to wet, salt water marsh conditions of boston because that looks like an iradiated corpse thats been in sea water too long.

It would be really fun to recreate this as a genuine mod and have it make new predictions, adjust the queens death date and message to match correctly, give it real conditions to occur, etc. Erik Todd Dellums is notably not restricted by VA Union contracts so he is available for work on mods.

Nice background eerie music, reminds me of an italian videogames related youtube channel called Parliamo di Videogiochi, they have this series called creepygames that used this exact soundtrack, and also did cover the Numbers Station creepypasta like 13 years ago. Cool stuff man, really brought me back in 8th grade

I think what makes it effective at tricking people despite it being obviously fake in hindsight is how matter-of-fact and mundane the explanation is. It sounds like a convoluted Easter egg that could potentially be hidden in an actual game. In addition, it is explained without certainty on how to specifically trigger it aside from some consistent prerequisites.

I know Im 12 days past Halloween for this but, eck. Man, I remember being a real sucker thinking the number stations was real for years until I finally went looking into it for my own closure. the idea of numbers stations and spycraft themed creepy quests wth encoded messages in Fallout is criminally underexplored tbf

i loved dragon age origins because i believe that's what makes and rpg GOOD like fallout 1 and 2, alot of player choice and consequence. (As a dungeon master) I never played any of the other ones other than 1 hour of DA2 before feeling ripped off because i liked to NOT play human or dwarf and it felt too basic.

I remember this absolute classic when The Sticky Paddle made a video on it a decade ago. Thank you for reminding me of this, bro. It brings back good memories.
