Now that I have done my first video maybe the next will be easier. Next job on the car is to replace rocker panels. I will try to video something before that. Hurry up and brake stuff for me 🙄
hi, got kinda same problem but P2004 and P2007. As it turned out, one controller was out of order. Replaced the faulty controller module, now the butterflies are working but still got the errors. One question - before screwing everything down, did you left the butterflies fully opened or closed? I believe they have to be in some settled position. Thanks for any help
Good morning, P2004 and P2007 are butterflies stuck open. Reposition the controllers so the butterfly valves are in the closed position. Just like they are in the picture at the start of the video. There will be resistance if you try to open the butterfly. If the move easily then the controller is not working. My car is still running great. Good luck with yours. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, the ticking valve train noise was the loose butterfly valve on the passenger side. I slightly backed the screws out and put a dab of loctite on the threads. The tick sound progressively got worse over maybe 3 months before the P2005 and P2006 codes flashed. The ticking sound has stopped after this repair. I will post a short covering this. Thanks for subscribing. I have a small 5 gallon varsol parts washer, a stiff nylon brush and a small brass brush. I think I even used a tooth brush for cleaning carbon out of the ports. Do you have the chatter (loose screw) or the defective actuator? Was a pretty easy job. Car still running good. I just did new front struts but have to edit that video. Thanks again.
Awesome video! What's next?

Thanks for this! Did it make any difference to that ticking sound?

Hello, how much time did you spend to do this work?
Thanks for the comment. Came apart and cleaned one afternoon and reinstalled the next day. Total time including cleaning was 6 hours.
What did you clean the intakes with?
