3:05 Sadly, USA is not the only country to have the dreaded TGV system. It also comes in the Subs sold in France, and probably in the whole EU. Years ago, one of the actuator motors even failed on my mom's 2001 WRX, setting the Check Engine light on. And as the part was not sold separately (scam alert: only the whole TGV body is available as a spare, at an indecent price. At least in France), we had to order the single motor overseas. And send the car to a good mechanic because, indeed, this engine is such a rat's nest. 😑 Happy ending: the car is still perfectly fine (122.000 kms today) and so are its infamous head gaskets. Incredible but true. 😁

Why would you leave the holes in the middle unplugged? And why would anyone go through all of this, when there are OEM TGV deletes readily available... 14001AB441.
You have to delete the codes. So depending on where you live it makes it hard to pass emissions. You could leave the rod in there that connects the sensor to the drive motor. That way they are in sync with each other.

Great video, I am planning on doing this on my car. Did it give you any codes after doing this? If so, how did you clear them to pass emissions?
