Beutifull work thank you for showing installation part looking forward to see more installation videos
been waiting for this video, thank you.
Really nice fence and door 👍🏻
Wonder if you could have flipped the gate latch… put the little catch on the swing part of the gate… this way you wouldn’t run into it at eye level…. Just a thought
Nice
Nice work, might be worthwhile adding a bump stop to keep the gate from hitting the wall and chipping the paint.
Another nice job. Thank you for sharing the video. Where do you get the plastic plugs/caps from? Looking forward to your next video. Stay safe.
It just shows its best to go look and measure your self, get it right the first time, steel is too expensive to waste these day, (well it is here in the UK) stay safe Jimbo nice job.
Great video Jimbo. You’re one of my favorites. And where do you get the plugs?
👍👍
Craftsman level work there. Do you have a link for those round plugs? Thanks for the video, I picked up several tips.
you are 👍👍👍👍👍
Hi thank you for doing a great work and I do have a question!?where do you get or buy the things that you use as cap on top of tje rails to make it look good ? Or any other figures that makes the rail looks beautiful please let us know so we can order some because I want to build a small rail for my house and I want to use nice things in my rail line as I say figures or anything that can make it look good thank you
I could do that easy too if I had a diresta scribe
What about the gate post cap?
Can you provide a link to the plastic plugs? Thanks
That came out amazing. My only question is. Could there have possibly been a different type of latch used? I ask because if it were my gate, me being over 6 ft tall that rod part of the latch is head level.
Magna Latches work great too
What keeps the gate from not being lifted from the hinges the way it’s installed
So you aways use 16 gauge tubing for fence and gates
What if your wall is not plumb?
I wonder if there is a way to keep the gate fixed to the house. Don’t want someone lifting that off and walking away with it.
The latch is designed to be used with a padlock. So keeping it locked won't allow the gate to be opened and lifted off.
I use these hinges they look really nice and my favorite to use they’re a bit tricky but the way to install them so they don’t just lift off is you need to place the bottom hinge with the bottom rotating piece welded to your post so it doesn’t fall off when you let it go , second is the top hinge you use the top rotating piece of the hinge welded also to the post , and now it’s not possible to remove the gate off from the hinge
You can weld third hinge but upside down. Or, if the gate opens no more than for 90°, you can weld or screw some stopper right above one of the the hinge. Either way it will be impossible to lift the gate from the hinges.
I always use security shear off nuts which when installed correctly leave a dome shaped nut. Only way to remove it is by splitting it after a slit is made. If you get that wrong the bolt threads get wrecked so need a new weld on bolt bracket. All this faff because people steal!!
Jimbo how much does something like that cost ?
I bet the welding table was pricy
Gotta have money to make money.
Hey, sent you a dm on instagram. Had a couple questions
Nice
