The Legendary 1GZ-FE. The one and only V12 made in japan. Today we talk about this legendary motor and how to swap it into any car. We also get deep into specs as well as features. A lot of people have swapped this into their cars. There's V12 Swapped Miatas, V12 Swapped WRX, V12 Swapped Supras, V12 Swapped Silvia, and many more.

Thanks MarvinS. The 1GZ-FE is an incredible engine. I put one in my 1982 Porsche 928.It's running on Megasquirt Pro ecu with a c6 corvette transaxle. N/A 417hp 420tq. I also have a spare 1GZ-FE engine and trans available.
Oh wow, that seems like a lot for N/A. Did you do anything other than standalone ecu?
@@cvolkmedia Just 3" single resonator exhaust and a very short cold air intake. Engine originally had 4 cats with 7 mufflers. Original intake had 4 sound dampening chambers and was about 5' long. My tuner said the 1GZ was actually about 330hp from factory the quoted 275hp was part of the "gentlemens agreement" between the manufacturers and that Toyota left a lot of room for tuning. This was tuned on a Mustang dyno so take that for what it's worth. It's a wall of torque from 1300rpm to 5500. Lots of fun in a 3200lb car! It's available too.
heard of this v12 YEARS ago
Many of us have, super street, import tuner...
Yeah, this dude should not have this many views or subs for information that’s so knowable. Not to mention the lazy editing, audio and presentation. I thought I was bad
@Eclipse538 989 subs is about twice as much as I have. And that’s with music, chapters, cutting clips at the exact points where I say words, and information that I hope is actually interesting. And then everytime I finish a video I think “damn it wasn’t that good, i’ll still upload lol”.
Ditto

I didn’t know all these well known motors were unknown
Imagine if you blew up your Lamborghini's V12 engine and replaced it with this bad boy cause it is more reliable XD
Do it!
im pretty sure these things were made for the Japanese ambassador and was also released in 1967 to celebrate toyoda's 100th birthday, giving the name century
The problem with this Engine is the heads don't breath well and the stock rods don't like boost... That sound though!
I think the FE in the engine name means economy narrow-angle valve direct overhead cam (F) with electronic fuel injection (E), the UZ V8 engines have bad heads to. Sadly Toyota never made a GE or GTE variant of the GZ or UZ
@@levilastun829are the GTE rods, pistons, and head interchangeable with the FE?
Trust me, we have heard of it many times lol
INSANE!!!!!!
Waiting for 4 2JZ put together
Good Vid dude .. ✌

V 12 ....wow...
this shit mad oldddddd!
but an amazing engine
Dude, we know, most people that know of smokey nagata do
So exclusive you can buy one for under $15k
They sure depreciate fast considering they were a 6 figure car new.
@@cvolkmedia Bentleys and Rollers also depreciate like crazy, the difference is a Century will not cost a small fortune to keep running.
0:33 may come from Japan but I'm sure it's in Australia also. That coin is Australian 50 cents
They likey got imported second hand.
the clickbait is crazy, everyone knows the 1GZ-FE 😭
electric motors? Looks like you might be talking about an engine
Dude, the whistle in your mic is so annoying
There not that unknown
How was it only donning close to 300 horses naturally aspirated and its a V12,doesn't seem right...
It had a verrry restrictive exhaust (something like 5 mufflers) and was marketed at 276 due to the gentlemans agreement. In reality it made closer to 330 stock with the exhaust.
Trade off for reliability....itll last 500k
Only 300hp from a 5L V12 lol junk 😂
1UZ not 1jz
1GZ
@@negativeindustrial the toyota century has a v12 engine and the code is 1uZ only japanese V12 ...... the 1JZ is a inline 6 2.5 liter which is used in the mk3 supra. And other platforms ...and for bonus info the 2jz is a 3.0 liter inline6 for supra mk4 n other platforms similar
@@peoplesambassadordm8279
The code is
1GZ = V12
1UZ = V8
1JZ = I6 TT
I should know, I own one of each and a pair of 3S-GTEs, as well.
@@negativeindustrial ok ... u got the v12 in which application?

If/when I ever find a reasonably priced MKIV Supra, I’ll be adding that car, too.
JDM = Just Dumb Motors
Dumbly reliable motors lol
Shit alotta jdm engines are good for 3-500hp reliably it's just other parts of the drive train that holds them back like axles and transmissions ..... and let's not even mention the FWD platform lol 😆

Wow that musta taken awhile🤯...do u pay writers or did u come up with this gold yourself👌
@@winstonpratt604 I wanna mention the "fwd platforms" ... what jdm fwd's have enough issues for u to imply they're worse than others??
@@averyparticularsetofskills not worse just can't handle the ftlbs a rwd can without alotta upgrades and if they were as good there wouldn't be so many trying to do the AWD conversions ...... I'm not knocking them just stating the pros and cons
Sounds like way too many moving parts to me! I’ll stick with 4 bangers that make 400 + stock hp. 😂
