the lyrics are melancholic but lead to strengthess too. I really love Adrian Vanderberg's artwork. I can really see the ship sailing across the water with " sailing ships across the water, spread the wings across the sky ". the entire song is a pure masterpiece.
@@stevemandl5140 Well I don't have exact numbers but it was certainly classified platinum. Compared to the 1987 album, which went, I think, 7x times platinum, it was probably weak. It still sold better than any album before Slide it in, at least in the US and better than any later album.
Agree that every player on this album is a mastered musician. (Best of the best imo!) But Vai played with Frank Zappa for years, played with David Lee Roth, and had already recorded his killer solo album before recording this. Slip of the Tongue was my first (and still my favourite) Vai experience…but Whitesnake didnt make him, it was one of his projects/gigs. Just one of the great ones! 😉🤘
OK, people may think they're goofy, misogynists, etc., but you should really listen to Steel Panther's "Lower The Bar" album. Especially bonus track "Red Headed Step Child". Sometimes, you can't tell, whether it's Michael Starr or David Coverdale singing.
...but Adrian wrote all guitars parts....Vai played and put all his accents and soul on the album , wich is even more awesome! what duo we have here....Vai and Vandenberg!!!

One of the best Whitesnake's song ever!
Every guitar part on this album was recorded by Steve Vai. Vandenberg had a wrist injury at the time and could not record.
Amazing and brilliant song that should stand the test of time!
Шикарный. голосище!!!
Рослый Ковердейлище - сильный голосище.
Best Whithesnake song ever
sadly though this was whitesnake's worst selling album
@@stevemandl5140No it wasn't. It acutally went platinum.
I heard it was not a great seller

Este álbum es alucinante !!!
We need this genre of music BACK. What we hear today is dull, uninspiring and boring.

Song amazing👊
1:31 and 2:45 Glenn Hughes on backing vocals ❤
All hail David Coverdale, master!!!
ya know what this song needed...John Sykes
Or Vandenberg or Campbell.
@@williamwalker146 ...or sykes
@@jackvai2681 Of course Sykes, but he was already mentioned so I wasn't going to mention him again.
Steve Vai 👑 King 👑
Snake of fortune!
💗
nostalgico
der obergeilste hammer
A masterpiece, sweet Vandenberg riffs.
+Caius Is Vai...Vai recorded the whole album
Anohmia Anohmia Vai only did the tour of the album, Vandenberg healed up for the final show tour.
+Caius Nope. Vai recorded everything on the album. Adrien was ill so Steve did all the guitar parts.
Caius Vandenberg was injured on his arm when the album was recorded.

Event Horizon possible
Event Horizon bs
which , of course, were in turn stolen from other musicians
