I'm currently 18 hours in...and I'm telling you this game cannot be less than a 9 I'm shocked by this review. Unless from my point it gets worse but I highly doubt it
I was honestly surprised at how balanced the reviewer was. He didn't let nostalgia overwhelm his views while playing and looked at it critcally: an opening section of a beloved game, enhanced and sometimes unnecessarily padded out to make it a full length game. And the reviewer probabaly knew how controversial the score would be to long time fans, yet stuck to their guns. For the longest time, IGN reviews had become memes and a joke, but this is nothing short of an unbiased, well-informed take. Thank you
@@bungifish2227 Cause it deserves it. Well at least in my opinion. Fans of rpgs should be allowed to review rpgs. Fans of shooters should be allowed to review shooters. Is it going to be bias, yes. But that is something that can't be helped. In the end its up to you personally to give your own verdict on your enjoyment of a game. Regardless of others opinions/
@@KiuHayakari that's fine, but why would you let a huge fan of a game review that respective game/franchise? But in this review it's not fan but more so a casual player. And I'm not saying persona 5 doesn't deserve 10 (I don't think nothing is 10 since nothing is ever perfect) I just don't like that persona was reviewed by a fan and FF7 wasn't.
bungi fish IGN has only clarified like 50 times that a 10 doesn’t mean the game is perfect. “Simply put: this is our highest recommendation. There’s no such thing as a truly perfect game, but those that earn a Masterpiece label from IGN come as close as we could reasonably hope for. These are classics in the making that we hope and expect will influence game design for years to come, as other developers learn from their shining examples.” That’s a straight quote of the “10” section of their review scale.
@@mattiasolsson1523 That's dumb. You don't "have breaks from the main story". A main story is nothing to take a pause or break from. If you wan't a break then that's what the side mission was invented for.
True, lol. They pretty much drowned in nostalgia. I have to admit tho that this remake feels "rather" great and captures the "supposedly" overall presentation of the original games. But at some points of the game, it just feels kinda boring, lacks of contents, unfinished and uninspired. Better waste yo money on Royal.
I'm 18 hours in and I'm telling you it's atleast a 9 currently, unless it gets worse from my point which I don't see happening right now. If you loved the original and advent children then you will love this
bungi fish Finish the game, opinion would change, a lot have changed how they felt about the game by the end. All subjective though, if you love it then you love it.
@umar b Not really because there are plenty of independent reviewers on youtube who really do a great job with in-depth game reviews. When it comes to IGN it is completely random and some of their staff is definitely much better than others.
I noticed that too. I assume it’s because the dub isn’t synced with their mouths moving. Hopefully it won’t be noticeable when you have the Japanese voices.
@@Draidis because they dont seem to understand he was hard on the game to put pressure on later installments. The reviewer clearly liked the game but you can tell he is speaking up so we get the best content by not being a fanboy or anti fanboy. Its like a keep it up guys but next time dont pull that move you did again kinda review if that makes sense
@@Draidis Because over the years IGN and GameSpot respectively have turned the number ratings for gaming into a joke. Whenever i watch these reviews 70% of the time the score never correlates with the review at all. Both in the full version and summarized versions of the reviews. They made the number seem like it was slapped on. The problem for me is that IGN reviews are never consistent between the score they give out and the actual review itself. That;s why i never rely on these reviews to justify a purchase on any video game. Same goes for GameSpot.
They should have remade the ENTIRE game and released it completed. Or release each part annually. 5-10 years is too long to wait for an episodic game and I think most people will lose interest.
Try 20 years this is square were talking about lol we"ll get a preview for part 2 in 4 years then 2 years after that we"ll get a trailer then for 3 years we wont hear anything then they annouce a launch day 3 years from then. Then in the year its suppose to come out it will get delayed a year and a half then come out. Then repeat the same process but longer for part 3 lol same thing that happened with kingdom heart
i definitely dont see how cod ghosts got that score but i pretty much agreed with this reviewers complaints about final fantasy, the developers are stretching out a short section of the original game, adding lots of unnecessary filler and sidequests. had this game been the complete story then this game could easily earn a 10/10
Joe yeah true, but cod ghosts was universally panned by fans. thats why he made the comparison. but these two are completely different genres so i get your point
@@Omegaslashbuster1 I don't know, that might have been fine back in the day but in 2020 there are plenty of games that have far more interactive ways for the player to achieve end game loot. it's not a hyperbole to say that some of this "game play" is the equivalent of watching paint dry.
I thought one of the things they did so well was actually showing the impact of what happened when the mako reactors were destroyed. Children crying for their parents in the streets, people screaming in fear. Knowing it was actually shinra who increased the explosion but having the characters grapple with the morality of the few vs. the many.
David Marshall in all fairness at this point the world is not at stake and it is explained to us why cloud is doing mundane tasks and also made very obvious he takes no pleasure in it. The sidequests in this game are not magnificent but I wouldnt compare them to mindless fetch quests.
Nah, i understand the riot. I’ve only played the demo but watching other channels reviews, the game appears to have earned 9 at the least. 8 is nitpicking.

It's frustrating how Square's side quests have regressed over time. They were killing it in games like chrono trigger and ff 6 and that was over 20 years ago
Bro those are 2 out of my 3 favorite games. When square remakes ff6 I'm going to lose it. Definitely want it to be more of a remaster than a remake though
people arent made because he gave it a 8/10 and they wanted a perfect score, people are mad that the game is a reboot instead of a remake. This wouldnt have been disliked if he gave it a 6/10
Even when and if a game scores a perfect 10 doesn't mean it's completely flawless. Gamers need to realize that and look more towards the context of the review it's self.
I downvoted because I feel Square is setting a bad precedent by charging fans $180 over 3-4 years for what amounts to a full game experience (100+ hours, standard issue for a great RPG)
WAY to much for a bloated episode which took 5 Hours in the original to complete. CD Project Red released a way more ambitious and polished, fullworthy rpg in 2016. In my opinion FFVII Reimagening Episode 1 (which would be an appropriate title) deserves a 6/10 at best.
@@FelixS. You forget that with FF7R they beautifully fleshed out the story and characters and that's the whole point of the remake's episodic nature. In the original Midgar part felt short and rushed now we got the full vision developers had. Also, FF7R completely destroys Witcher 3 in the combat and graphics department so 8 or 9/10 seems fair.
Honestly because of the flaws in the battle system and the pacing and story changes I'd say a solid 7 out if 10 for me. I love the original but this one is just a bit lacking.
All these people upset about the review score are the same ones who will be attacking square on Twitter once they see how much this game has changed compared to the original.
CrimsonFlame for me it’s more to do with 4 hour campaign getting 9, online 6 and final somehow magically 9 lol it’s clear their RE3 copies were overflowing with cash
@@christopherbradley7149 I think he's suggesting the people who are upset are mega fans of ff7 and that once they get to the end of this remake, those same mega fans are going to be greatly upset at square for reasons I won't discuss because spoilers.
Hearing him say that they added some Kingdom Hearts-level convolution to the story made me sick. The story should not have been tampered with at all, just fleshed out with character development for a full length game. This was exactly what I thought would happen, though. I guess I’ll find out for myself.

Billy Overton well you shouldn’t be lol, as someone who played the original when I was 10 (and almost every final fantasy game ever since) I think the score is perfectly reasonable 🤷♀️ the filler is unnecessary and definitely very kingdom hearts-esque
I seriously cant get enough of this game. Side quests or not, collecting cats or not, this is one of the most beautiful things to grace our consoles. The voice acting is spot on and the combat feels more fluid and has the pace of Usain Bolt on roids. This is Game of The Year for me without a doubt. Spent 9 straight hours playing it on Twitch yesterday and I cannot remember the last game i got so emotionally involved in a game 😎 🎮👏
Totally agree. However, most of the haters stem from people who never played the original (too young, or too dumb). Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Personally I enjoy the side quests. I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t make game of the year.
@@venomhammer9592 Totally right. Just done another 4 hours on twitch, I seriously cant get enough of this game. Nostalgia does help you are right. Not for everybody is it but cant see why you wouldn't appreciate this game even if it's not for you. 👍
JayNotion yeah I’ve done about the same on Twitch. The game was remade for the fans in all honesty, but my viewers who never even played it still appreciate it.
I’m ok with 8/10. There are flaws. They are outweighed by the overall experience. But now square can see what people loved and disliked and fix it for the other parts.
I wouldn't count on it. A lot of the gripes seem similar to FFXV to me. I couldn't pull myself to finish that game with the pacing and filler. I feel it's just a formula they're going to stick to regardless.
@@LD1E60 those storytelling issues had nothing to do with Nomura. At least he keeps things interesting. It's Disney and their mismanagement that dragged down the series.

@@dantemiles689 FF7 tripled the timeline of it's storyline and gameplay, RE3 shortened it's already brief and linear survival game. Both games are still fun, but not exactly a fair comparison.
Considering all the marketing has been nostalgia based I don’t see why they made a lot of changes to the story. That definitely won’t go over well with the older fans.
It raises my eyebrows a bit, this was my first RPG experience back in 97 lol, but I stand by the motto " if I dont like this one I still can play the original." That being said I'm pumped to make up my own mind this weekend.
older fans who saw the trailer already knew about majopr changes because of things like sephiroth showing up in midgar and all the new characters...so those were to be expected
Ohhh it’s bad. Rouche is the ff jar jar it has about 10 additional scenes I’d keep the rest I’d bin and most importantly you can’t make an abbreviated version of the original version as a movie and that should’ve been possible. I don’t want an 8/10 I want people to experience the original game the feeling of the state of the art graphics that came with that story all those years ago
I’ve been telling people that was going to happen since they first started begging for a remake. There was no way they could have kept the game how it was, the money and time sink made it impossible. This was always going to take a lot of time and money, Square was going to make sure it appealed to as many people as possible to recoup the cost.
@@caryrose1370 it saddens me just how rare of a rose you are. An old-school final Fantasy 7 fan using critical thinking skills in this comment section.
Right? I was day one pre-order for this until I heard it's not even half of the original game. What's the point? I'll have to buy a PS5 to play the rest so I might as well just wait anyways.
Ikr people are forgetting individually scores are always going to be different, I'd give this game a 9 and my mum would probably give it a 5, we both loved the original it's totally subjective
There were moments playing this game that I wanted to give it a 9 or 10, moments where I wanted to give it a 7 or a 6. Its a rollercoaster of a game that should be experienced by fans of the original who played till the end. After completing it, I can't say that I'd recommend this for newcomers and they should absolutely play the original first. Dont question it, just do it, you'll know when you know.
This guy didn’t mention the appreciation of seeing Midgar from under. Looking at all the lights and background WHILE doing filler quest. Enjoying the fact there was more to cloud then just “not interested”. He actually helped out which help gain his “heart” didn’t mention the nostalgic music and scenes along with the same dialogue on certain areas. Yea some players might be confused if they’ve never played the first game but that’s what makes it awesome. Switching materia back and forth has always been ff7. He says he’s a fan but didn’t mention a lot of detail that makes old fans love the game. He’s probably 25 and watched his brother play. To me I didn’t like the squeezing between areas and they have a hard time lift a cabinet but can swing the pump of steel around.
I think those times where you squeeze between alleys or crouch under rubble are to allow more time for the next area to load. Hopefully next gen will reduce load times thanks to the SSD.
@Malique Kawabata lol actually you're wrong, this game in particular just like XIII, had its english VA set to specifically match the lips movements for its international release.
The people who downvoted the video don't have the courage to defend their opinions, because they can't prove that there's nothing wrong with the game. Spoiler alert: there's a lot wrong with it.
@@akiinmoonlight79 Why? The reviewer gave perfectly valid reasons for the score. Not to mention even most hardcore FF fans aren't happy with how the story's been changed. How's it a 10?
I think I can handle the dull moments. HOURS of grinding to have the ability to take on ruby and emerald weapon in the original FF7 has prepared me for this.
Xander Reacts And Rants Even as a 15 critic, it’s a pretty neat game. Certainly not the best if you’re comparing it to the greats, but certainly not worth skipping.
This game has a lot of filler because in the original, the Midgar section was 5 hours at most. Meanwhile, in here, they are trying to extend it to 50+ hours.
11/10 for me. Just beat the game. Outstanding, Square really outdid themselves here. What a damn rollercoaster! My new all-time favorite game, hope Square keeps up the great work
skyblaze eterno It is a full game though. It’s literally a full game length, it will have cost the same as making any other full game and taking the same amount of time. You’re talking like they’ve stuck out a cheaply made, rushed part game when that’s not what it is in any way.
My biggest thing is not knowing when the next installments come out.. if they to long then it kinda kills it for me.. but if they come out as fast as say.. these resident evil remakes are.. then I'm ok with that. I mean I havent even seen word on how many installments its gonna even take to compete the remake.. idk
I'd expect it'll be out in a year. That might sound rather ambitious but the development will likely be significantly faster than that of part one. However; the global pandemic might drag development time out slightly more. There's a couple other potential hurdles; the next portion of the remake will likely involve a large world map which is pretty much an "all in" affair; significantly more demanding to realise than Midgar alone. Then there's PS5 which will be out by next year - the game will likely just run at settings above PS4Pro but who knows how much extra work is needed for a multi-platform release. Otherwise the core assets and engine will be completed as they are in part one already - they've just got the chore of building the next chunk of environments, storyboards, planning, recording dialogue, music etc. It will probably happen at a faster pace than part one. Some of it may already be finished; heck, some of it may have been exported into part one as orphaned assets.
I think 1-2 years for the sequel and the saga will end 2-4 years from now. Where they may conclude the story in a trilogy or maybe the sequel is the final part. Once they go open world in the sequel they must show easter eggs, the treasures and other stuff that one can find as well as their own additions. Therefore, the sequel could be the final part, unless the world goes into drastic change due to the story. That will cause the players to explore the world once more in the third game if they do a trilogy. Well, one thing that players can look forward to is the means of travel in the open world. Just like in ffxv. Did not play ff7 so I do not know what will happen with the story.
They said the next part is due out March 2021. It looks like it is going to be an annual thing. Whilst I'm down with having a game like this released each year I dont want the current part to end 🤦♂️
At first I agreed with this review 100%. I would have told you the game should not have been so linear, that there should be more content, that the sidequests are a little boring. After really playing the game and letting it settle I really find myself thinking this game is a masterpiece (my opinion). I haven't felt this way about characters in a long time, maybe since I was a child during kingdom hearts or ffx. This game has so much love made into it that you feel it as you are playing it. Every detail from the voice actors, the music, the story, the side characters. You begin to really feel how much work went into the game. To me the game felt like an 8/10 but after experiencing the game it is a 10/10.
@Slickfoot It does not have a lot of replayability. I agree with that. To me this game is kind of like a work of art similar to a movie. An incredible movie is something that can change you but after repeatedly watching the movie it loses some of its enjoyability. The movie might hold its value but the first experience is something special.
Am I the only one who finds it so lame that it even comes out in several installments? I mean how lame is that to just stop after like the first 8th of a full game and not knowing when you will be able to play more
Convoluted isnt anything new to Square, and compared to Kingdom Hearts the story in here is super simplistic and easy to understand. by mid game you should already be understanding the whole point of the added things. The story isnt finished yet so yes we are going to be left wondering whats going to happen next, that pretty standard.
It's somehow weird how developers put so much effort in remakes instead of sequels, such as in the case of Final Fantasy. FF7 Remake is what FF15 should have been like. I'm still playing FFXV and it doesn't come close to the great atmosphere and gameplay of FF7 remake in my opinion. FF15 has an open world and gives me more freedom to explore the game but the linear gameplay of FF7 remake is more fun in my view. Square Enix has done a great job with FF7 remake. I'm definitely overwhelmed by the game and it's a fresh flashback of the golden era of Final Fantasy. I'd also recommend playing the original FF7 which is available on PS Classic.
@@huey6248 its faithful in some regards but fails in the most important. Nemesis is not anywhere near as dynamic.......like....mr x was more dynamic in resi 2 for gods sake. its all scripted scenes with him, that alone brings the game way down as well as tons of cut content and locations. I enjoyed it so dont get me wrong, it was a fun action romp for 5 hours. 6/10 for me.
Huey Knew ps1 games are generally short. But I find it weird that they cut such a huge chunk of the game and didn’t even replace it with new content at the same amount. Also, weird that they took away the ink ribbons in the hard difficulty. It was really fun but really short, not worth the 60 bucks
Different reviewers. This is why I mostly rely on individual reviewers instead of big websites like IGN. I still follow IGN to get their opinion, but I don't value their opinions as highly as other. It kinda depends on whose reviewing the game...
Yeah, People hate overrated piece from big companies. But when it's small indie game or from Nintendo, they'll fight you to death until you say it's the best
I imagine the sequels will be a bit more straight to the point, as there is so much content still to cover. There probably will be less filler and more open world exploration to focus on. At least I hope so.
Ty James as I‘m replaying the old game at the moment as warm up, I also felt like this would be the only logical break in the story line for the next game. Whenever they release this one... (2028 is my best guess...)
@@tyfenrir I think you're right. But I also will be very upset if this thing is anything more than 4 parts. Unless they slash most of Disc 2 and the Huge Materia hunt, I can't see everything being completed in a reasonable amount of time. Even if the next part comes out in 2 - 3 years, by the end, it's going to be the entire story on possibly 2 - 3 generations of consoles like wtf
Tbh, i was sceptical at first. But the remake clicked with me. This game isnt for the masses. Everyone who didnt play original ff7 and crisis core will think of the side content as a chore. But i think the long term fans will find joy in every little detail the developers put into any additional content of this game. Like the description of the buster sword hinting at zack and angeal, the motorcycle dudes sword resembling zacks first sword, wutai being mentioned way earlier, the thing which binds sephiroth to cloud (mako) because seph is long time part of the life stream, the sun flares to show how the slums get light despite being under the rotting pizza, how the mako transforms insects and other usually small animals into mutated monsters. Helping people out in the slums just like you did in crisis core. Other people might think of this game as a 7 or 8, but i cant get enough of midgar and its people and every little detail i can get is a joy to experience, so this game is a solid 9 for me.
Is this gonna be a MGSV like thing where the first game is significantly smaller than the main game? Or are we gonna get 6 more games to finish this remake?
You know what's funny I was litterly thinking about that . Midgar was the most linear part of ff7 and it opens up towards the end . And there was like 5 discs for the original ff7. There gona make the next one probably bigger on next gen
This is supposed to be the full original script for FF7 spread across three games. They had to cut a ton of it for the original playstation release, as it wasn't possible at the time.
This game is kind of in a weird position. It has to act as something substantial enough to justify its own existence whilst also being a part of a larger saga whose main events are something a lot of players already know (assuming SE takes the game direction fairly beat for beat with the original). I am looking forward to settling in because I always felt the Midgar section in 1998 was a bit truncated for how purportedly big the city was. I also look forward to having things unfold differently because as much as I would love to see the 1997/1998 story just in better visuals, the idea of an adaptation with lots more new to it is far more intriguing. I wouldn't mind if FFVII Remake in total ended up very different from the original. The fact is I can already tell this game is going to give me an even better version of the cast and as such I will care about whatever happens and wherever they go because their characterization will have an enormous boost. No offense to anyone who feels differently. P.S. I am hoping that with the fundamental groundwork laid for the series, subsequent entries are permitted a faster turnaround using the already built systems and assets (updated as the series continues of course). Conventional expectations have me thinking this will be the case, but then again, FFVII Remake's rollout has been anything but conventional.
Eh it ended up in the same place the original did. I feel like they just decided to make a more grandiose ending. To justify it being split in to parts and standing as it's own game. And plot twists is just nomura trying to spark discussion and and more mystery to upcoming parts.

I'm not mad that FFVII Remake got 8/10. It's that they Resident Evil 3 Remake 9/10 when it was clearly 6-7/10 mess, compared to the original RE3 and Resident Evil 2 Remake. Then they go and give FFVII Remake 8/10, when it's a MUCH better game compared to RE3R.
I really liked this game and I am a fan of the original but I'm afraid I have to agree with this review. The game tried way to hard to justify covering only Midgar and it did unsuccessfully. It was heavily padded to the point that it brought the story to a complete halt on some chapters. I had to stop and take a break several times which it never happened to me in the original. The original had a perfect pacing making it engaging to blaze through it which sadly this game ruined. And some of the newly added story bits and reworked character introductions were flat out bad to the point that I thought I was playing a Kingdom Hearts game. I absolutely HATED the hooded flying specters. I found them to be obnoxious throughout the whole game and only served as a deus ex machina. Instead of reimagining the sinister introduction of Sephiroth inside the Shinra building they butchered him by introducing him right at the beginning of the game, completely destroying the build up to who's the big baddie of the story. Aerith's introduction was also ruined. Cloud and her both officially meet at the church not whatever this game did right at the beginning. Its like the game wanted to rush the character introductions for the sake of fan service while padding the rest of the game. I like the game and I love the characters but there's absolutely no excuse why they only covered Midgar by trying too hard to stretch it to death and as a result damage the story.
@Slickfoot I sincerely did not like the ending. They turned an iconic protect the planet story into yet another Kingdom Hearts mumbo jumbo story about multiple timelines and time travel. I hate it. It was obviously Tetsuya Nomura's doing. They turned the game into one that you have to play while turning your brain off to enjoy (just like KH) while the original remains with a compelling story and characters.
People hating on Tabata before like he's the bad guy. Now they realize it was Nomura who messed up so bad that it took an entire company to correct his mistakes on FF15. Tabata did a great job on FF7 Crisis Core, how they fleshed the story out is amazing... Nomura is great on doing jaw-dropping scenes and battles but isn't great in terms of storytelling not to mention Nojima who wrote FF13 which is so badly written. Makes me think that if FF Versus 13 was released, it'll be just another convoluted Fabula Nova Crystallis garbage with some KH goodness.
A different member of ign reviewed resi 3 that's the problem with big review companies. You're better off finding another channel who has the same interest in games as yourself instead of trusting ign.
This review appears biased towards the start of the game and the very first few side quests (literally). A review of a dry tutorial (1hr) should not be considered the same as a review of the full game (30hrs), and it is disappointing to see a rushed review of early gameplay, no doubt with the intention to be one of the first ones up on UA-cam to draw early viewers . It has taken a while but i have completed this game in it's fullest, and would absolutely recommend it as a return to form for the final fantasy franchise, a full package with tremendous amount of cutscenes, voice acting and story. If there's a game in the ff franchise to support this is the one!
Diehard FF Fan here, I LOVE THIS REMAKE. Sure, I wish it was the whole of FF7, but it was worth it just for the Dialogue and the Visuals. Especially everything Aerith-related... Her saying "You can't count on me forever" with a wink pulled on my heartstrings hard.
Just beat the game and I must say I loved it. The music, graphics, gameplay and choreography was amazing! It was great to see iconic characters realized in HD glory. The music deserves an award it really sets the tone for most the scenes and boss fights. Final Fantasy remake excelled at portraying cloud as the badass soldier we remembered while also expanding on the bonds he formed along the way. The graphics were breathtaking, you can see how much thought and passion that went into creating the world of Final Fantasy VII. My favorite area being Shinra HQ. The gameplay was great having both turn based and action based elements. I was surprised to see how versatile the battle system was. I now have a deeper appreciation for the FFVII verse and I can’t wait to see what they do with the new story elements. I would give this game an 8.9 rating
The more you play the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the more you start to think, "This doesn't feel like FF7", and by the time you reach the end, you're positive it's not.
Yeah I mean, this review wasn't harsh or anything. I see people not into the episodic thing because it just feels like miling a remake. Others want to pretend its perfect for just being ff7 I dunno, I get that witcher 3 set huge standards for content. But this kinda made this divise
@@fricktard12345 I mean think about it. Even FF7 classic isn't perfect by any means, and is just very solid, and quite iconic. Persona 5 is kinda boring but you now the so called anti-mainstream rpg purist. Those who consider games not so much popular as the best ever? Well, these are the only guys that overhype the crap out of games such as persona, xenoblade and ehat not
So they split this game into 3 parts so that they could give us an incomplete experience, to keep milking another $60 out of everyones pockets? @@bungifish2227 Cause it deserves it. Well at least in my opinion. Fans of rpgs should be allowed to review rpgs. Fans of shooters should be allowed to review shooters. Is it going to be bias, yes. This game has a lot of filler because in the original, the Midgar section was 5 hours at most. Meanwhile, in here, they are trying to extend it to 50+ hours.

Ff7 the what if stories, should be the title
Fuckinf seriously. The ONE thing I wanted was to just play the whole game without spending $200...the original came on 4 discs.
Well the original was 4 discs so that'd be my guess for the remake too
At first I agreed with this review 100%.
So you didn't play ff7 when it was out?

The movie might hold its value but the first experience is something special.
8?!?! But Barbie movie gets 9?!?!

Nostalgia merchants are to blame.

FFVII isn’t linear, just Midgar
HeHasHivemind FF15 was suppose to be “Final Fantasy Versus 13” while the true FF15 was dropped.

@@huey6248 its faithful in some regards but fails in the most important.

Any form of time travel or multiple realities is very bizzare in something like Final Fantasy 7. These are abstract concepts that are perfect in something like Star Trek. For Final Fantasy 7 to include things like this feels like they've broken the rules of the world they created.
Companies like IGN is the reason I often doubt reviews. I'm currently playing this game. It's a solid 9/10, perhaps even a 9.5/10.
