Margaret Pritchard, one of HTV Wales's main in vision continuity announcers in the 70s and 80s

A freeze frame of Petunias face just before the crash at about 03:47 is quite horrific!!!

How ironic that the advert was in 1977 and Marc Bolan crashed his car into a tree the same year, I think that was a mini aswell.

The eighteen hour corselette, what happens if someone wears more than one second after eighteen hours. Damn Jasper Carrott.

I didn't expect there to be a lot of 70’s recordings from Wales.

Amazing Lipton advert! Very advanced production values for the time.

I lived in Bargoed, a former mining town near Caerphilly and I remember Lipton's in Bargoed ( Bar -goyd).

Absolutely loved HTV Cymru Wales. We had fabulous reception in Co Wicklow Ireland

As did we in Dublin back in the 1970's. It seemed so exotic as a child.

These days programming for Wales in English is nearly non existent.

So many things could kill you in 1970s Britain, now we have to add worn tyres to the list. Although I suspect more people died from smoking Benson & Hedges, the sponsor of the showjumping.

Loved the Joe & Petunia films, this was the last one and Brigit Forsyth replaced Wendy Craig for the voice of Petunia!

Margaret was rushing to introduce Women Only but was to late as the HTV Ident was several seconds in.

Voiceovers on the Joe + Petunia public information film are Peter Hawkins and Brigit Forsyth.
This was the fourth and final film in the series (the first three were voiced by Wendy Craig).

Remember Liptons from those days; all the products added came to £1.93. Adjusted for inflation, it would cost over £14 these days if not a bit more!

HTV Cymru Wales or HTV West had one of the best ITV idents of old then-just as good as the then ATV Zoom 2 one or indeed any of the others really? Thank you of course!

Yes but TSW had by far the best ident! Even if you hadn't a clue what it was supposed to represent.

Tut Tut - HTV Wales forcing their viewers to watch a programme from their junior partners HTV West. The only worse thing was HTV West Viewers being forced to watch Welsh rubbish from HTV Cymru/Wales.
