That's my dad Gwyn Parry doing the VO for the car ad and introducing World In Action! Thanks for posting this!!
Midsomer Norton? Sounds like a dangerous place to live!
Used to love Tuesday nights in the late 70s, early 80s, Bywyd followed by World In Action and then a comedy like Mind Your Language or Agony to finish the evening!
that world in action theme music is better than i remembered
World in Action should never have been the first casualty of those ITV franchise changes in 1993.
I remember the Panama cigars commercial with the chest wig. Only 54p for a pack of 6....give that man a cigar !
A then very young looking Jeff Rawle of Drop The Dead Donkey and (more recently) Hollyoaks fame.
A couple of seconds late into World In Action I’d say as we only have a quick glimpse of the Granada ident.
Year Maggie Thatcher come to power in the May,the start& end of society and knackered the country.
The Campbell's Main Course advert - wasn't that the Shake 'n' Vac lady?
Think its her all right.
Definitely looks like Jenny Logan 👍👍
When you see these old adverts, you know what they are advertising whereas I haven't a clue what today's are all about.
HTV West ad on HTV Wales..... how modern
Happened a lot at the time if I remember correctly.
A Welsh narrow gauge railway in BR colours? I didn't think any narrow gauge lines were nationalised.
Yes, BR colours. It's the Vale of Rheidol line from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge
@@davidmartin6116 Is the line still in operation? Sorry, bit of a railways fan..
@@MorristheMinor Yes, they have a website
Great days before adverts were politicised.
