I don’t know about anyone else, but all I could think of during last bit was the little Dennis waterman bit from little Britain,with him on that giant set!
ITC’s first video label precision video released ‘the mighty micro’ in 1981 with all 6 episodes complete but the ATV ident was replaced at the beginning by the ITC entertainment logo & a blank screen was put over the endcap with the electronic music played over.only the titles appeared before the first episode & the closing credits was shown after episode six.
David Hamilton has the best comb over ever.
41 years ago if 1982, remember Diddy David presenting, such a hard sell of what to watch, Minder was good, was a nice little earner for Terry.
I'm starting to think that probably it is true that ITV has never been the same since the 1979 strike ended...
They called the first series of Minder a "flop", but it averaged around 9-10 million viewers - a figure for which TV execs these days would give their right arm.
Less competition for viewers back then tho...
So was George and Mildred on at 8:00 or 8:30?
