You are a great teacher. Thank you.
You have no idea how much I needed this. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I really, really, REALLY, appreciate it
This video is 23 months old and only has 331 thumbs up. That's ridiculous.
So I rather tell you in words: thank you very for the useful information, you are very appreciated!
Wow, thank you! So happy we were able to help!
Glad you liked it and found it to be useful!
Finally, a VR UA-camr that breaks it down step by step for a beginner to understand. Thanks a lot for your hard work! I really appreciate the time & effort you put into your videos. Quick question, can you do a video on how to convert 3D 180 VR videos back to regular 2D format? Also, I use After effects for flash animation. I was wondering if you can do a tutorial for the Evo on After effects for 3D VR 180 if it’s possible. Thanks again! 👍🙂👍
Did you ever get anywhere with your After Effects 3d VR 180 graphics? I know Blender just added VR capability, haven't tested it tho, waiting on the HP Reverb G2 to get here.
Very helpful and an excellent teaching style. I have the new Canon 5.2mm dual fisheye arriving in a few days and I had no idea how to process VR180. Now I do. . .with a long way to go, but at least I’ve got a start! Thanks for making this.
This is so useful, thanks for posting this!
Thanks for posting! This has improved my Insta360 Evo videos ten fold! New sub cheers
Great video!! Thank you for sharing!!
Awesome, informative, video!!! Thanks for breaking down your workflow for us!!
You did such an amazing job on this video dude!
Helpful video for beginners but you forgot to mention that if you use Adobe Premiere for editing, you do NOT have to export your EVO video files with the Insta360 Studio. Adobe Premiere can work with .insv files immediately as long as the Insta360 Plug-In's for Premiere have been installed. This way you compress your video only 1 time at the final export and not twice.
Do you know if this applies to after effects as well?
How do you combine the 2 insv files in Adobe Premiere? When i drag the 2 insv files in the timeline, it plays the video 2 times.
Awwww the dog in the background! Soooo cute! 😍
Thank You. Devin !!
a great tutorial. thank you so much
Thank you very much for this video!
You're very welcome!
Thank you!
Thanks 😊
Great vid. I was wondereing if you knew of a way to actually export the footage in Anaglyph as per premiers VR preview mode?
If I use a pair of old GoPro's (or new), what is the video processing step to get the two halves compliant with VR180 display. Specifically, I am guessing if using the 3D casing and the old GoPro Studio software, it crops and converts the flatter images into the equirectangular projection, am I right? If I am NOT using that software, do I still need to manually map the projection into equirectangular say in Premiere Pro?
How do you crop a 9by16 3D VR180 video into 2D 16by9 video on Premiere Pro?
One of the most useful knowlege video I have ever seen. Thank you.
Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I have a Vuze XR and I am filming my cooking show in 180 3D, My question is if its possible to add an image in the back of the 180 video essentially making it a 360 space. Its a bit confusing that the image rotates straight back. Is there a way of doing this? Thank you
Hi! Thank you SO MUCH for this video, the detail is amazing. I do have a question: could you kindly post your computer specs? I want to know what I need to buy for a good VR editing experience (I have purchased the K1 Pro).
thanks the video helped me. but why is there no explanation in the video for vuze vr studio?
Excellent explanation. I have a question. I can now directly import my 3D180 video (the 2 insv files for left and right eye) into Adobe Prewmiere Pro. After editing and uploading to youtube I can see my 3D180 video excellent. But, when I want to add music to the video in Video Studio from UA-cam, the video is no longer 3D but just 2D with HD. Is there something I oversee here?
Thank you so much for your instructional video! 👋👋So brilliant! I've been trying this with two insta360 RS 1" cameras, setting up the rigs with 63 mm ILD and using voice command to start both cameras simultaneously. Each camera produces two single lens 180 ".instav" files from front and back lenses that I want to use the front video of each camera as L&R lens for 180VR, but I have difficulty converting them to equirectangular file that Premier pro can stitch them together and create 180VR video. If I try to open/import one of those single lens ".instav" files, Insta360 Studio does not open it, and Premier crashes as well! I've heard it can be done via ffmpeg but that seems to be for developers and should be some easier way. Can you help me with how to use/open those "single lens files" from insta360 videos and convert them to an equirectangular file that can be used by Premier Pro to create VR180? Or should I follow a different workflow? Thank you for your knowledge and help!
Thanks! Which software do i need, when i want to create a VR180 video with my 2 Osmo action (standard lens)? Ok, fov won't be 180x180, but i only like to see the effect, just look around a few degrees in Quest2. How can i render equirectangular from my fisheye video? Any app? thanks again
Dear Scout I have Canon R5 & canon dual fisheye lens . Can you please guide me how to edit the footage . Video and still image . I m not satisfy with canon VR utility . Can I edit in Davinci resolve ?
How easy it to import spacial audio with evo footage, recorded with another mic?
did i blink and miss it but nothing on the vuze xr?
one problem, on my screen with Insta360 studio i dont see the "view" or "free capture" tabs, and i am usign the newest version of studio as well...can you help?
How to you get the soft edge on the sides?
Is it possible to stitch ZCam VR180 in Premiere or something else? I am on a Mac and just learned that Wonderstitch doesn't work on MacOS. ZCam software works a controller on the mac, but Wonderstitch doesn't work. Great video on VR180! I am very new at this.
I'm using camtasia as my editing tool (just need some cut and paste functionality). Everytime I export my video, the quality sucks, even at the highest resolution and bitrate. So video 1: great, video 2: great, then combine them in Camtasia, export it and then I get fringing around edges of clothing and hairs. Is this a known problem? Not sure what I'm doing wrong ...
Anyone knows if Insta360 evo vr180 content can be uploaded to UA-cam vr directly using only a compatible phone? Presuming no editing needed that is
Hmm... I seem to be the only one that noticed that you skipped stitching instructions for the Vuze XR....
Isn't it better to export 3d 180VR content at a bitrate of 30 Mps for youtube?
How can i export video same as VR preview?
thx
but how zooming 180 3D video?
thanks for the tut. it's very clear. on 15:03 you state that if you watching the content on a flat screen it will be monoscopic. does this mean the only way to watch 180 stereoscopic on youtube is through a headset? because in this video for example I can set the mode to 3D: ua-cam.com/video/fmUZj7eoXAg/v-deo.html
Why h.264?
This is work .Whit lucidcam 180 VR video.? Thanks.
Good video. But, you didn't really discuss any of the downsides of anything you went over. I've got a long list of complaints, and I'd have to make a lengthy video just to try to cover it all. The VR180 app sucks. The VR180 Creator software is terrible at a few things. The Lenovo Mirage camera has major issues. Since you didn't really cover any major issues with things I already know are major issues, it makes it difficult for me to know if there's other things you haven't covered for the other cameras and software. Again, though, good video. Decent primer for anyone completely new to the format.
I hear you! I just scored a new Mirage for super-cheap, and my homework suggested that this unit would be trouble. But I got it anyway because I have a very basic 3D project and the Mirage was the best I could budget for ($60 IIRC). It seems that Google abandoned their whole VR180 platform, so unfortunately I doubt that either the Mirage or the Google apps will get any updates or improvements.
Google UA-cam certainly does not make easy to post VR content.
