Reagan I have a 92 OBS and 95 OBS and never had an issue with breaking doorhandles lube everything up like you’re supposed to keep your parts moving & maintained so that way my dad taught me he was Ford body and paint man so I learned👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow! its like we went down your list! First I noticed the plastic part on the latch striker (?) was toast and replaced that; then took truck to a "shop" to fix broken door handle (now it wont lock properly); 2 weeks later it broke again. Son went to junk yard got 80's handle installed; I broke the metal part about 3 weeks later so I found and ordered the repair plate from your company; son installed it (I don't have the tools); greased cables and checked everything out (also greased window channel (had to repair window motor)) - now door latch works like a charm - I found a wire part embedded in the floor of my truck (tucked under the edge of the mat - loop on one end - hook on other) - I think that piece has to do with the locking mechanism .... but cant find a video about it .... *sigh* .... however, YOU guys have been a big help to this ol' gal! Thank you!
Something I've found works is go and get the latch and everything out of an 87-91 truck. I installed all of it into my 95 obs. That plus the billet handle and you will never have a problem again!
Thanks Paul. I got a 97 7.3 ccsb. My drivers door dose sag. It’s a pain to close I usually open the window to get a good grip on the door and some times slam it but not crazy. So that tells me what you said bushings and striker. I got the truck in February of this year (2020). Handle was broken when I got it. Don’t bother me to open the door to get out but would be nice if it just worked. I am sure I need the handle reinforcement plate cause from what I hear that’s like you said the main issue anyways. My only hold up on fixing the door besides buying the parts is I’m not sure the door it self is actually any good. The window sometimes falls out when you roll it it. It’s power. And the oem mirror sort of flops when the truck idles or you fit a bump. The skin seams loose? Is it first time for a new door. Untucks not pretty. I’m on three of the obs groups. I been busy with other projects including the truck. What are your opinion and what do you think I should start with.
Just picked up a sweet 90 4x4 300 4speed. Im new to the Obs Fords. Im a Jeep man but needed a tow rig. These handles are sweet gonna be ordering some things for sure. I wanna do a SaS and ditch the TTB. Do either dana 44 front 60 rear or 44 front 9inch rear 60s both front rear 44 front Steerling 10.25 rear. 4inch lift 33s. I dont wanna ditch the 4speed for a 5..is there a od unit anyone recommends? The truck was a Auto some one did a nice clean 4speed swap. Im not sure what trans it is....T-18? Idk. I assume its from a late 60s maybe 70s model truck.
possibly need body mount bracket if rusted away like mine was, had 1st and 3rd row mounts in good condiiton, but 2nd row was gone, door swings real nice now that all 3 rows are correct and floor pan area no longer sags

That is also super hard to get in quantity....
I can't believe this is an issue on these trucks. I've had two OBS broncos at 250K+miles and would have never thought these were an issue for people.

Thanks! Door Rattles while driving. Never feels like it fully shuts. So much play when shut and locked. Door Pins?

You didn’t mention the tiny little rubber bumper that stops the door handle from over traveling 1/16 of an inch is too much...
My biggest issue isn't door handles it's the drivers side doors always somewhat hang down

How about the window cranks that strip off of the regulators? Any good fix for them? Metal cranks? If so which brand or models to look up and order?
We don't run into many crank window trucks. We will have to look into that for you.
