Never thought I would drive a Ford myself but I fell in love with my 97'. Named her Mrs. Eileen Leaks. She has an on again, off again smoking habit and the occasional sassy attitude. I find it's just how the ole gal is telling me that she wants to go for a nice long cruise. Excellent video, thank you for posting! I will keep checking your channel for updates!!
Thank you for a great video, buddy. I own a 1986 Ford F-250 HD XLT , Lariat, 4X4 , 3.55 limited-slip in rear differential. Handleing package. Tow package. 460 V-8 , C-6 Auto, power everything. No rust at all. The truck was purchased new by my Dad from Don Kott Ford , Carson , California, on March 22nd 1986. Since my dad passed in 2011, I have fixed every problem the truck had. I love the feel of it when driving it. Heavy truck, for sure. Rated GVW 8600 LBS. Max Tow 10k . The truck is (Non Catilest) from Ford . Did not come factory equipped with a cathletic converter . I love the OBS Ford trucks.
Have the same fix needed on the drivers door on my truck. Been procrastinating on getting it done. So much to do so little time. Nice vid. TC Mahalo Tinman🤙🤙🤙
For all you youngsters, those air conditioning windows/shortskies dryers were called vent wings, no-draft ventilation in my day. Can't be beat on hot day, of course, without ac. Great video, nice attention to detail.
Gotta love the simple repairs that make such a big difference! I've been known to add a tiny tac weld to gm door pins to keep them from falling out lol.
Thanks TinMan , my 97 f 250 need door pins& bushings bad , Mine pulls a little too , ,pivot arms bushings need replaced, what alignment shop said .7.3 auto 250 k miles , Love it !! Later Sir !!
With an older vehicle you really do need to keep up on the small stuff, waiting too long and these small repairs pile up and by then we tend to lose interest in the vehicle. Good work, little by little and she will give you lots of service. Cheers.
National and cultural differences apart, here in the UK we call those little triangle windows "quarter-lights". They were very commonplace before air conditioning became a thing in cars.
Mine needs the same job done so it was nice to see the Tinman do it first. Last few times I’ve taken doors off or worked on hinges I set my forklift up under the door with a pallet on the forks. Maybe that would work with a skidsteer ? I don’t know how much the hydraulics bleed down though.
They’re good trucks. Told you a few times I can’t replace mine with a new one because it couldn’t do half of what these old ones do. It’s my Swiss Army knife. They have quirks tho. First thing my buddy did to mine was unhook the pedestal gate. It ends up leaking. I put a 6637 air filter on it because they do a better job than stock at filtrating. He’s a diesel mechanic and owns a few of them himself. Fact I have three friends with these obs 7.3’s. My son has a obs but it’s a Windsor. Another thing is open the shifter and dump a additional quart of fluid in the tranny from the top. 3rd likes to starve and burns up. I piggybanked one long ago and had mine rebuilt a few years ago. Same problem. I have 318k miles on mine and run it almost daily around the farm and for work. I did put in a t6 chip to give it a boost. They’re kinda doggy without it. I don’t turn it up but the first setting is enough to drag everything I need to. Once I drug what seemed like 40k pounds of wet hay on a gooseneck in the rain. Never again. I also have 33” milestar Patagonia mt’s. Winch on the front and a dump bed insert. It’s perfect for the homestead. Oh hope you’re doing good on not smoking tinman!
I enjoy the channel and most all of your content but man u hit the nail on the head with this Super Duty I've 2 of them one a 94 8 lug Ftreefitty 4 door iDi utility bed and a 95 10 lug F450 super duty with a 14ft dump bed with removable sides and the 5.13 rear end is beastie, I liked your channel from the get go and happy to follow you in your endeavors thanx for your content on your vehicles and saws and super excited for you and your family keep up the good work. I'd show you pics of my trucks and saws too but not savvy with this flat screen tv fone to do so. Keep easy brother !
@@tinmanssaws food for thought, if it's not been deleted on already delete that fuel bowl they are a headache waiting to happen I'm deleting mine soon because of it being a perpetual nuisance, it left me stranded twice I'm glad I've got good friends and tools 👍 From the east coast N.C. Hold it down Tinman !

For all you youngsters, those air conditioning windows/shortskies dryers were called vent wings, no-draft ventilation in my day. Can't be beat on hot day, of course, without ac. Great video, nice attention to detail.
Those windows are the best!!
I've owned both automatic and 5 speed manual 90s 7.3 . I prefer automatic. Thanks for the door repair video.👍
Gotta love the simple repairs that make such a big difference!

You're a pleasant dude. Thanks for the video. I ordered some pins and strikers, looking forward to the fix.

I agree, I've parked afew trucks because they had 150 10 mins little fixes to do. They pile up for sure
Looks good get an alignment done before you wear the tires funny, steering wheel looked off. I’m enjoying the truck content!
Love your truck!
Hey tin man awesome content
Wishing you the best. Love those old 7.3s. I will have one soon. 🦾🧬
I need to do this to my '93 F-150!, half the time it won't close?
Yo. You happen to have a link as to where to track down those pins? Are they Dorman? Amazon? Cheers. I gotta do mine too.

TRUCK SOUNDS AWESOME ,,LOOKS GOOD TO CRUISES ALONG NICE EH

Skidsteer hydros are pretty rock solid, a forklift would be awesome around here.
When are going to fix that rust? Would look much better.

Thanks for the tips, I'm going to do the air filter and a couple other mods sooner then later.
Love the truck tinman one issue at a time.
Looks like they would work for duallys
Sweet truck, but most of all I love the 5 speed.
I have 2 f250 4x4s 94 , 97 , 2 f350s and they all need hinge help . I have to drive on gravel every time I leave and it beats these things to death .
How's the tinman
