@@docjohnson1 I think it was, 'It must have been a beautiful doll'...( Pause) 'She was'. It was the 'she' that gets you. Funny stuff, especially coming from Frank.
The writer of this episode’s dad really invented Festivus. The writer was forced to celebrate as a kid. He then put it in the show and now it’s a real thing 😂
For this very special Festivus episode to show on your UA-cam channel on December 23rd is nothing short of being a Festivus miracle! HAPPY FESTIVUS everyone!
I always celebrate Festivas. I was happy to see the Seinfeld show finally recognized this holiday. We never aired grievences but always did the Feats Of Strength. Man we really had some nice aluminum poles over the years. Great memories.
Thank you two for bringing some joy back on UA-cam ❤ I only found this channel recently I love your laughs, reactions and commentary, happy holidays from Melbourne Australia ❤
Kacee that hat is simply awesome!!! Happy Festivus to you both Dos Cavazos! *** EDIT... the outtakes of that scene with Tim Whatley realizing that's the girl from the party are awesome! Jerry was destroyed over and over!
The actor that played "denim vest" guy is actor Kevin McDonald from the Canadian sketch comedy troupe "Kids in the Hall" that had a TV show similar to Saturday Night Live. In fact Lorne Michaels, producer of SNL, also was a producer of Kids in the Hall. They did make a feature film called "Brain Candy" (1996) which I do recommend. I love how for some reason part of Festivus is complaining about how your family members have disappointed you!
"Cosmo Kramer - Bagel Technician" - That's some Job Title! Maybe if I work my way up from: "Bagel Technician - Junior Assistent" I could earn it! PS. "The Limo"
Festivus is a Seinfeld favorite & for fun-Georges boss Mr.Kruger, ordered "Dr.Lechters" leg shot in elevator shaft in ' Silence of the Lambs"😊(an older reaction of yours)
Hi Snyds from Australia here - love your festive jumpers - we can't wear them here as it's summer at Christmas By the way - the sleazy guy who tries to crack on to Elaine has had a very good career as a playwright - his name is Tracey Letts - and he's won a Pulitzer prize as well as two Tony awards I wish everyone a great day for Christmas and keep safe Cheers
makeup and no makeup is a commonly seen form of double face, but theres actually real double face syndrome women where some look totally different when they smile or not, and then theres the kind that look totally different depending on what angle you look at them, and then theres the kind that look different when they relax their face, when they think nobody is looking at them.. it seems to me like they combined all the above in this ep, which doesnt work obviously, because her makeup is changing every few seconds
This episode was partially based on reality. One of the writer's of the show grew up with an odd celebration of Festivus. He said the reality of his family was worse than shown on the show.
The guy who Elaine gives her sub card / fake number to is a member of Kids In The Hall, but I will always love his character "Star Trek Man" in NATIONAL LAMPOON'S SENIOR TRIP.
Excellent date to post this iconic episode. But "The Serenity Now" next? Kacee does not know Lloyd Braun or Art Vandelay yet! As a reminder: you have to hit a bunch of key characters before the finale: Art Vandelay: "The Stakeout," "The Boyfriend," "The Red Dot," "The Cadillac," "and "The Puerto Rican Day." And this is a top priority character for the finale. Poppie: "The Pie," "The Couch," and "The Doorman." Babu: "The Cafe" and "The Visa." "The Visa" also resolves a plot point from "The Virgin," so you might want to throw that in, too. Mr. Pitt: ...pretty much every Season 6 episode you skipped. The critical episode is "The Diplomat's Club." Jackie Chiles: "The Maestro," "The Caddy," and "The Friar's Club." Peterman: ...a bunch. "The Secret Code" is a personal favorite. He got his start in "The Understudy," which references "The Fusilli Jerry" twice. The Seinfeld family: ...a bunch more! "The Kiss Hello" and "The Doodle" capture all of them pretty well. And "The Kiss Hello" has an iconic moment. Kenny Bania: "The Soup," "The Secretary," and "The Fatigues." Mr. Morgan: "The Pledge Drive," "The Diplomat's Club," "The Mom and Pop Shop," and "The Wink." If I recall correctly, he is not essential to the finale, but he is memorable, especially in "The Diplomat's Club" and "The Wink." Lloyd Braun: "The Non-Fat Yogurt" and "The Gum." There is also a small carryover from "The Gum" in "The Bottle Deposit." And be sure to go back to finish Play Now with "The Voice" and show off Kruger with "The Slicer." For other fun episodes: You might want to finish up Rachel with "The Raincoats." While not big like those listed above, she is Jerry's most serious relationship, and you have already seen every other episode she is in. For a bit of lore, we can throw in "The Conversion" and "The Cheever Letters." "The Bris" is a riot. "The Handicap Spot" was the introduction of Frank Costanza. You might want to finish off George's classic Yankee moments with (in addition to several above) "The Millennium," "The Comeback," and "The Muffin Tops." Although, to full appreciate "The Muffin Tops," you will want to see "The Wig Master" and "The Van Buren Boys" first.
Elaine is experiencing sunk-cost fallacy. "The phenomenon whereby a person is reluctant to abandon a strategy or course of action because they have invested heavily in it, even when it is clear that abandonment would be more beneficial."
like lottery players.. speaking of which, have you ever seen so many school teachers begging people to gamble lately? well, when youve dedicated your life to being cringy, its hard to stop
Fun fact, in the DVD extras for this episode, it was mentioned that one of the two men that was so infatuated with Elaine was in reality a porn star, and Julia Louis Dreyfus said she couldn’t keep it together whenever he would have a line.

His Festivus wish was to force everyone else to experience how terrible it was.
Happy belated Festivus

I GOT A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!
You stink!!
“I GOT A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE! AND NOW YOU’RE GONNA HEAR ABOUT IT!” You can’t beat Jerry Stiller as Frank Costanza. 😂
Festivus is a real holiday people celebrate on the 23rd. It was created by the father of Dan O'Keefe, writer on Seinfeld, back in the 60s.
In dvd extras Dan says it doesnt have specific date or the pole but rest is very much true😂
back in the 60's??🤔🤔

I always celebrate Festivas. I was happy to see the Seinfeld show finally recognized this holiday. We never aired grievences but always did the Feats Of Strength. Man we really had some nice aluminum poles over the years. Great memories.
Did you cut down your own aluminum poles from a pole farm or did you go to an aluminum pole lot?
I find tensile distracting
@drdreddmanofmystery9482 We drove miles and miles to the nearest industrial center and looked at 50 poles, and selected the best one.

super great that you did this on December 23rd!😄

I actually forgot about the 2 face part of the episode. Great episode. Glad Kacee got to see this one.

Feliz navidad to Dos Cavazos!
Merry Festivus for one and all.
Please do The Conversion, The Bris and The Pool Guy. All are gold Jerry, gold!
Remember: the festivus reaction doesn't end until you pin kacee and air your yearly grievances about people not liking and subscribing to the channel
For my family Festivus is a real tradition. We celebrate it every year the weekend before Xmas.

The legendary Kevin McDonald of “The Kids in the Hall “ playing Denim Vest!
This episode had a lot of fans' approval. There is an ongoing effort to petition the federal government to recognize Festivus as a national holiday.
