You totally have to watch The Voice. (not the singing competition) It's a direct follow-up to this episode and explains George's fate at Play Now. Great Kramer & George episode.
The guy that hires George is Gordon Jump, (RIP) he was a famous tv actor from the 70's and 80's and was the Maytag man for years as well, his best role waa Mr Carlson from the 78-82 sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, which is absolutely hilarious, and I recommend it for reactions, it was way ahead of its time, and still holds up as far as I'm concerned
When the show was new NBC would put new shows after it and it would be a big hit due, this was what the episode is based on with Jerry and the other comic
This was a hilarious episode! Check out another David Putty episode called "The Face Painter." Also, to fully understand how Kenny Bania annoys Jerry, it's best to watch Kenny's first appearance in "The Soup."
I have to say that when I first watched these episodes, what captivated me was vegetable lasagna, he's the best supporting character, every sentence he said made me laugh.....
Fun fact: While Newman is next to Kramer in the hot tub he's reading a book called Alive, which is about a plane that went down in the Andes and they ended up resorting to cannibalism.
Okay, yes Festivus is inportant and on point. After that, you have to get back to prepping for the finale. As a reminder: you have to hit a bunch of key characters before the finale: Art Vandelay: "The Stakeout," "The Boyfriend," "The Red Dot," "The Cadillac," "The Serenity Now," and "The Puerto Rican Day." Kacee has some exposure to him thanks to "The Bizarro Jerry," but she lacks context so it meant nothing. And this is a top priority character for the finale. Poppie: "The Pie," "The Couch," and "The Doorman." Babu: "The Cafe" and "The Visa." Mr. Pitt: ...pretty much every Season 6 episode you skipped. The critical episode is "The Diplomat's Club." Jackie Chiles: "The Maestro," "The Caddy," and "The Friar's Club." Peterman: ...a bunch. "The Secret Code" is a personal favorite. He got his start in "The Understudy," which references "The Fusilli Jerry" twice. The Seinfeld family: ...a bunch more! "The Kiss Hello" and "The Doodle" capture all of them pretty well. Kenny Bania: "The Soup," "The Secretary," and "The Fatigues." Mr. Morgan: "The Pledge Drive," "The Diplomat's Club," "The Mom and Pop Shop," and "The Wink." If I recall correctly, he is not essential to the finale, but he is memorable, especially in "The Diplomat's Club" and "The Wink." Lloyd Braun: "The Non-Fat Yogurt," "The Gum," and "The Serenity Now." There is also a small carryover from "The Gum" in "The Bottle Deposit." For other fun episodes: You might want to finish up Rachel with "The Raincoats." While not big like those listed above, she is Jerry's most serious relationship, and you have already seen every other episode she is in. For a bit of lore, we can throw in "The Conversion" and "The Cheever Letters." "The Bris" is a riot. "The Handicap Spot" was the introduction of Frank Costanza. You might want to finish off George's classic Yankee moments with (in addition to several above) "The Millennium," "The Comeback," and "The Muffin Tops." Although, to full appreciate "The Muffin Tops," you will want to see "The Wig Master" and "The Van Buren Boys" first.
You have to know the history between Elaine and her boyfriend putty, he's in a lot of episodes and they're constantly breaking up and getting back together again
Glad you two picked this episode. Classic! This was one of my fav George episodes. Recommend the 2nd Spitter Keith Hernandez episode if haven't already watched it
I could've sworn there was actually a scene where we saw that established, but I guess it was always just implied. I seem to remember there was a scene where they get their meals and he has to specify that he got the vegetable lasagna, which Elaine makes fun of or something. But I just checked the episode and no such scene. Is it a deleted scene or something? Is this a mandela effect? Am I crazy?
12:57 I think you guys would really enjoy "Arrested Development". It stars the announcer guy from "Dodgeball" and David cross. The entire show almost entirely consists of intertwining storylines. It's hilarious. No matter how many times I rewatch, I always gain something new. You'd have to watch the entire season 1 at least. Can't really skip episodes in that one. I think they even have after-credits scenes.
“Let’s see how he does, up there, without all the assistance,” is another line from the infamous Buddy Rich tapes. They pop up a few times over the series and this is one of my favorites
The guy on the plain next to Elaine OBVIOUSLY got the name “Vegetable Lasagna” cuz that was his meal on the plain! Literally the only thing they knew about him.
Facts!!! Almost married my crazy ex Gf she was Abusive ASF! verbally that is. We were both miserable but nobody wanted to call it quits first!??? Funny thing that?🤔
Lol Newman is too much in this episode. Man, Watching Seinfeld for the first time. It's amazingly weird to know there are people that have never seen every episode in this day of age. Bold strategy to watch the the best episodes first,.can't wait to see the reactions
I would say continue the next ep with George still in Play Now!One of the best things about Seinfeld is the bosses and their workplaces 😂😂 also recommend “The Pledge Drive”
The Seven is my fav episode ever. It is George at his best. The Muffin Top is my fav Kramer episode. The Bottle Deposite is my fav Karamer and Newman together episode. The Urban Sombrero is my fav Elaine Episode. The Cadillac is one of my fav episodes with Jerry's Parants. The fountain pen is one of my favs from the early seasons and also one of my fav Elaine episodes. The Maestro is another classic episode. The Deli Slicer is also a must. The limo is another great early season episode. The Susie episode might just be the crasiest storyline in Seinfeld history.
I always incorrectly remember that THIS is the episode with “vegetable lasagna” and think it’s the airport pickup episode. I remember thinking I was disappointed that it didn’t make it into the edit for that episode. It was just me being dumb haha 😂😂😂
Word to the wise; at age 62 and after having enjoyed butter all my life as well, it was the first thing I gave up after a heart stent because of 90% blockage. Didn't mean to be a bummer, though.
The guy on the left giving his card to Bania was later on doing voices for the animated show Archer and plays Morty and Summer’s dad Jerry in Rick and Morty
The passenger guy is called Vegetable Lasagna because they don't know his name and that's what he was eating on the plane, so that became how they designated him.
I always think of that chase scene with George and the elderly whenever I watch Sons of Anarchy and they have one of their road chases on their slow-a** HDs and are barely able to overtake a Mitsubishi Colt
Yo I had to raw dog a flight recently because I forgot to download my spotify playlist on a new phone and it was only New York to Chicago so I didn't buy the WIFI. This was all I could think about while I was staring straight ahead for 2 hours
This is the first time I've heard of tallow. If you don't mind me asking, what lotion do y'all use? Btw y'all are becoming my favorite reaction channel. Much love and appreciation from a fellow Texan. Hope y'all have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
I know the name is recent, but this is the origin story of the "raw dog" at least in this context. To my generation it means an entirely different thing all together. Definitely should delve more into the David Puddy episodes.
Last week I was on a trip with my brother. On the plane we were both sitting on the aisle across from each other and I had a guy sitting by the window with no one in the middle seat. The guy kept trying to make small talk with me which I hate. So I looked at my brother and made a face he asked "What's wrong"? I said "Vegetable Lasagna keeps trying to talk to me". We both burst out laughing.
5:32 It just occurred to me after all these years that Newman is in many ways the Cartman of 'Seinfeld' in terms of his opportunism and his diabolical plans (but he's not anti-Semitic like Cartman in 'South Park').
Veg Lasagna is what the guy ordered on the flight, tho that may have been cut out. the main characters always have knicknames for other ppl, Vegetable lasagna, Bubble Boy, Soup Nazi, Man Hands

" Believe it or not, George is not home, please leave the message at the beep".
Wonderful choice of episodes
My thought was the he was "vegetable lasagna" because he ordered it to eat.
It's a Festivus miracle!
The cane thing I would’ve just said I have an injury on both side and I use the cane on whatever side it hurts the most
Veg Lasagna: "My name is Magnus". I think it was his in-flight-meal.
He's also mild-mannered, like vegetable lasagna, and wearing green, like vegetables!
That is my apple juice 😂😂😂

We gotcha the 1st time, bud.
The first season is a must-see for its classic comedy genius.
Yeah yeah. Enough dude.
WKRP in Cincinnati
he was the creepy pdf in diffrent strokes too
Patrick Warburton is so underrated as an actor. David Puddy is so weird and hilarious.
You know he was the voice of Kronk in The Emperor's New Groove, right? Because he was.
He's got one level as an actor. He's funny at that one level, but he's not underrated.
@@Alysa-Aiday He was the voice of a lot of animated characters.
@@jkhoover No, he plays different characters differently.
Joe Swanson is hilarious as well as every other character he plays
Vegetable Lasagna is what the window guy ordered on the plane. Hence, he was referenced as "Vegetable Lasagna".
It's also sort of an insult to say he's boring and plain because he's the type of guy that would order vegetable lasagna in the first place.
these kids do not listen, trying to be grown up , cute
You got to do The Voice next, a continuation of this episode, especially with Elaine and Puddy
When the show was new NBC would put new shows after it and it would be a big hit due, this was what the episode is based on with Jerry and the other comic
yep. piggy backing on success.
Jerry got them Robin Williams suspenders 😂
Nanu Nanu...

Such a great episode and ties very well with the next episode which is one of my favorites.
Peak comedy.
You have to watch more episodes with Puddy, so Kacee knows who he is!
*Kacee
@ thanks!
The Face Painter and The Dealership are my other favorite Puddy episodes
🎵🎶 My baby takes the morning train🎶🎵 🤣 That song is also used in another episode..
