@J-MAN - Nice comparison! Klon guy myself - actually Klon clone, and it happens to be a mini-pedal. I don't really see not being to use a battery a big deal as if the power is out, the amp would be SOL as well (unless it's battery powered, in which case, one could use a battery adapter that feeds into the power in). Having side Ins/Outs is probably a necessity due to space constraints. The hard switch could be seen as a plus by purists who like "true bypass". Finally, the differences in control settings is probably explained by component tolerance ranges. Generally, I'll go for mini-pedals for the reasons you've stated - space, but mostly price!
Since there are operational tolerances on all electronic components you can't depend on the pointer position on both units to be exactly the same outputs. As you found out achieving the same results requires the knob to be slightly different position but the results are the same. I do want more space on my pedalboard and more money in my bank
Yup it does have a scooped sound. With humbuckers it would be too dark ... With a tele pickup it's not too bad. I use it with a paisley drive deluxe and it's pretty good
Nobals pedals are great,I believe they have a new one,has a few more tone options, along the same line as these two pedals,uncle Larry was showing it off not long ago,on his 501 chorus ecko homeschoolin channel.
Yeah what these do they do well. Probably not for everyone but if you like a little hair on your notes either one is great. The mini really holds it's own and is very affordable as far as new pedals go...😀
The ODR mini is worthy of any country player's pedalboard. It did not work for my rock and roll pedalboard. I couldn't find a tone that would cut through and be heard in the group setting. Tube screamers and Boss pedals have to do. :(

It's my french acadian accent lol! And it's Hair lol adds some hair to your notes 😀. Have not tried the Racer, but my buddy 2bikemike on youtube has ordered one and it's quite good according to him!
