i have met 80 million people in the "record business" or the "music business" in my life...a lot of cool folks, a lot of snakes, a lot of in-betweens...Robert Keeley is truly one of the nicest, most genuine people i have ever met. You should know that, aside from getting some really cool gear, any money you spend on his stuff is going to a REALLY good guy. That goes a long way with me.
😎
Great playing as usual tom
Love your chill vibes
I mean Larry
🤣🤣🤣
That is a fact!!
All.his pedals are fantastic, have the AT Mod OD on a board now currently
The world needs 100% more Tom Bukovac!
He's a rare one. Makes this world a much better place.
110% aggree
Pure magic
Mike Elkins from Mikey's guitar ranch should be mentioned in here somewhere. He was the one who turned us all on to the nobles.
Always a pleasure to watch and listen to
I like it that Uncle Larry doesn't give a damn if the sound isn't what he expects... His brutal honesty is super rare these days, and I hope he never change...
I was almost scared trying the tube screamer
He was cracking me.up 😊Half good side half bad side
When Uncle Larry, the biggest authority on the Nobels ODR-1, approves, then it's got to be amazing. Congratulations on the release. Can't wait to get one.
Agreed. I just saw the releases for this, and it made me think "gah, well I wanna see what Tom thinks about this. Cause he knows everything there is to know in terms of nobels odr-1 tone, and he fuckin hates tube screamers. So if he likes it, it's gotta be good." And Robert Keeley just said "hold my beer, we already got him"
I know Uncle Larry has highly scrutinized the nobels reissues. It's my favorite overdrive ever, and while i too generally can't stand the ts sound, being able to play around with it sounds like fun. And who knows, there might be some magic in giving the ts a spectrum tone control. I'm wondering if turning it up so the bass and treble get shelving boosts might actually help tame the mid hump
I actually ordered one just now and gonna give it an honest try. I don’t use tube screamers but, if you crank your amp up ah, preferably two amps: one on 10 the other 11 - they sound amazing and that’s the thing. Stage volumes like that are mostly non existent these days. Only problem is learning sign language after you have damaged your hearing 😆
It was great. But I thought Tom was going fall out trying tube screamer
Do you think he would have said it’s bad in front of these people on camera? Come on man ! I get the love but still..
@@vintagepipesnightmares did you hear what he said on his channel about the Browne Atom they sent him as opposed to the things he said about Keeley pedals when he first shown the Noble Screamer there? I take everything with a grain of salt and totally understand your point but I don't think he dislikes the pedal at all.
Love Tom for being 100% musician 0% content creator! Every time he plays you can tell it's coming from somewhere deep - very moving. Rock on brother 🤠
Tom is just amazing. Whenever he noodles on anything, he turns it into a melodic soundscape that captures your imagination.
Robert Keeley is a master mad scientist and such a genius. Let not forget an absolute wonderful person as well. We are blessed
This was supercool...thanks Tom and Robert!
Damn!! What GORGEOUS tone and playing ❤ Bukovac is such a masterful player. Congrats Robert and Aaron and all at Keeley!
Hi Andy, it's awesome hearing your HALO pedal being played by uncle larry... Any chance in a collab? :D
Table for two? Can I interest you in the Halo delay this evening?
Thank you for the demo and review with Uncle Larry. He knows tone as does Robert. All three pedals are fantastic!!!
I can listen to Tom play all day!! What talent. The feel he has is remarkable!!
Yeah man, congrats! Killer! We're on it....
Yes!!!!
Great comparisons. Thanks
Sounding good! Cheers Robert and Tom!!
I love that Tom is always Tom no matter who he's with or what he's doing. Totally genuine.
Glad to see a company that is growing, creating new products, and PROUD of what they are doing!!
I dig this format… the playing is mesmerizing and to my ears the pedals offer more of a ‘feel’ than a ‘sound.’ The combination transports the listener to a different place. Thanks for taking the time to pull this together…
Aaron Pierce composed the video and sonic goodness of this format that Toni filmmed for us. Pierce put a TON of time and effort into putting this together. He was pulling his hair out, wait he's shaved... Haha! Thanks sir!
Sounds great, and the new enclosure looks the goods!
The definitive word on whether you are doing it right! Great job!
The piece Tom starts at 10:00 is really magic! I could listen to that again and again.
I've enjoyed this video very much, thanks guys !
Absolutely love seeing Tom and Robert vibing to this great new circuit. Uncle Larry in the house!!!!
what a cool video! two legends, one video (and one known studio) LOVE IT!
I got two words for you: BRETT PAPA
They are awesome indeed. I love all my Keeley pedals.
I know what my next Keeley pedal is going to be. Sounds lovely man! Great job on this one Robert and team.
Thanks man!!
Two of my Fav people in the biz!
man those haunting tones... incredible. And Uncle Tom is a national treasure
Toms making Robert smile ear to ear … love it
I guess I have to get the nobels screaner now
Ive got a keeley comp+ that i really like, but i also liked hearing they do everything in house. Probably gonna pull the trigger on something ive had my eye on as a result. Great job guys.
Damn it! That's another pedal to add to my never-ending wishlist! And if the Halo and Hydra switch over to the new enclosures with top-mounted jacks I will definitely need a bigger pedalboard!
Wow. Finally a new drive pedal I think I’ll buy!
Thanks for having Uncle Larry here. We can't get enough. I'll buy this one and get rid of a few others. I also need that Halo.
AWESOME 🤟🏾
Uncle Larry shows it is legit! Damn now I need to try another pedal..... Love you guys, thanks for what you do.
Tom is so inspiring, whenever I hear him play he opens up new sounds to me, what a player 🫡
Happens to me everytime too!
Love that!
Robert is my favorite pedal builder. He modded my Sparkle Drive over 20 years ago. I'm always proud to see that Keeley sticker on my board!
you're OG! Thanks for the 20 years of support!
This is the most excited I’ve been for a pedal, for so long.
ikr?! ;-)
Love Kelley,he's a brilliant man. Love Bukovac as well. Two amazing dudes. If I could afford every Keeley Product I buy em all. Really want the Halo. Last purchase was the Moon Op Amp Fuzz. Just love it.
If it’s the TPS episode I’m thinking of, they’re not really comparing the ODR-1 and TS as if they’re similar. They throw it up against a BD-2 also just to see the differences between popular ODs. I’m pretty sure they even address the fact that they’re both green but don’t sound the same. Don’t throw them under the bus!
that really never was my intention. I mixed a possible misconpception about the color of a pedal with them doing it on a specific show on that topic from a novice perspective of green is scream mentality. Silly of me and sorry Dan and Mick. Dan, I'm glad you let me know you got the Noble Screamer and the other couple of pedals in the series! Thanks guys!
Big shout out to Brett papa. Thanks from Quebec
I think Uncle Larry is more hooked on Hydra and Halo than the Noble Screamer :)
Not just me then!?
The Halo is absolutely top drawer.
I also have the Hydra which I adore the harmonic tremolo, pure vintage vibe
501chorusecho might be a clue.😎
Thought the same....what's this other thing? haha
I just purchased the Karma OD 10 which is a duplicate of Tim Pierce's Original Nobles and then you put this out!!!! Now I will have to get this too!!!!
Great job Keeley!!!!
Hell yeah, tube screamer Tommy, love him!
Jesus the amount of music in those hands.
Great tones there, not only the drives but ,the delays also. However what I like the most on this video is Robert’s satisfaction face when listening Tom playing his pedals. That’s priceless!! Congrats!! Bought it yesterday from Sweetwater . Waiting for it😁😁
That guy's playing is so powerful and dynamic it's like listening to a great piano player. He's in total control of the sound of his composition....and that's just the beginning.... Thanks Ramil!
@@RobertKeeleyTV got my pedal yesterday. I spent some time with it and like it a lot. All combinations have very good usable tones. My favorite is the OD drive with TS tone, then the two normal and last the TS drive with OD tone. However there is something I would like to tell you about my pedal. I will call tomorrow or try to email is can’t communicate thru phone. Great pedal. It’s beautiful, the enclosure is so practical, very light but strong, and the tilt angle is very nice. Thanks.
For a gear demo, I enjoyed this way too much. Congrats Mr. Keeley. I am ordering one. And Uncle Larry, you are the best man. Don't go changin'...
Robert is super proud of how far he has brought the business. Its great to see him pumped on a TS/OD in 2023.!! And Tom secretly loves the TS ! he wants to price to stay low.
Love Robert's enthusiasm.
Danke Basil!!!
Great vid and a great pedal! Playing mine right now. It does seem it was dialled in better in the other vids (ODR-1). I can make it almost identical to the original, but the thing that impresses me most of all is the feel. It has that slight sag when you dig in that some of the other modern versions don’t.
Got one. its awesome.
I love my Keeley Caverns delay and reverb pedal!
High praise from Uncle Larry!
I own an old nobles, new nobles, norland odrc and I have to get one of these!
Man, that sounds sweet!
How nice of Brett papa to loan you his Home Base. I was waiting for the SOLID GROUND comment of from Uncle Larry Tom BUC.
I love Robert Keeley's enthusiasm! TB...what a player!
Golden Age Of Gear!!!!! What amazing time to be a gear nerd.
I totally agree. ❤
You’re definitely doing something right when you get the likes of Tommy to weigh in! He’s stated he hates to demo pedals, but there he is! Sounds like a well thought out pedal, great video!
@501chorusecho salut! great musicality & sounds Tom buddy while looking at some really good pedals from my friends Robert & the gang at Keeley & with the NS a really interesting take & 'a mix up' of ODR-1 & TS circuits 😎
Tom’s the MAN!
LEGEND !!!
I have been struggling a little bit with my Halo. This has moved me a bit more toward some understanding. Leave it to our fearless leader, Tom Bukovac to shine more light on a great piece of gear.
Tom Bukovac is class!👌🏻…
Great tones and great playing! Excellent job all the way around! Sounds and looks like Keeley has achieved yet another level of excellence.
Can JHS, Wampler, Walrus and everyone else keep up?
We need a sick burn on someone's slide tone about now, LOL!
" While i was waiting for my audition "...... good one.
Love Keely Pedals & He answers the phone . Tom is one of the Best !
Holding out for the Karma ODR-10. Do like the sounds of the Halo and the Hydra!
Brett papa lending his studio for this fine event!!!
Freaking amazing dude. The best Tennesse vibe you could imagine. I wanna go back just to check out the chickens again. I was kinda afraid of them when I was there for some reason. I thought they were going to peck me. Chicken of a chicken. ;-)
@@RobertKeeleyTV if a chicken pecks you rotisserie it!!!
Sweet!
OK that does it!! I will buy only Robert Keeley pedals from this day forward 🤗😎🤠🤙
Uncle Larry!!!!! Bad to the bone, as always
Rob is making a great job with his pedals! Hang in there Rob, we're listening.
I know that's Brett Papa's place! Hi Brett (even if you're not there)! Nice demo, guys!
I haven’t bought a guitar pedal in a while, but I’m gonna have to check this one out 🤓
I wish everyone was cool like Uncle Larry!
When Tom plays it sounds like a record.
The name Keeley speaks for itself. The touch on the guitar player is exquisite. Killer demo. Love the Halo..
Very cool
Thanks Nick!
Nice of Brett Papa to let you guys use his space.
And his guitar !
Lol just realized.
Please Mr Robert, make a Bukovac's signature pedal!
Mr Keeley makes good stuff!!
Keeley fixed the TS! Great pedals!
Oh shiiit! This pedal (NobelScreamer) is about to sweep the market. I predict a waiting list.
Great video. I wonder if TS setting with the Nobels clipping, if I understand this correctly, would get into the phat mod bd-2 territory? Then it’s like 3 legendary od sounds in one pedal
Just picked up the fuzz bender, great quality FX company! I'll be back for more!
Fuzz Bender was my introduction pedal too. Wasn’t my last. Super Keeley fanboy.
I loved my FB but I ended up trading it after playing the Moon Fuzz for like 10 seconds. immediately I was like "THIS is what I've been looking for"
Damn you Tom.
Is this like the Andy Timmons’ Signature delay..?
It’s very cool..!
I’m using a Boss delay with Strymons Deco.. still experimenting..
Tom is his own vibe lol. I’ve watched so many of his videos where he hates drive pedals. Dude is a pure amp tone connoisseur. Kind of surprised he’s on here but love it.
Sounds incredible, but can it get more jangly like the OG Noble, if you increase the Spectrum?
I love my Halo! I know Uncle Larry likes it too! Now I need the Hydra
Uncle Larry and Robert Keeley: The meeting of two masters. 😁
I never thought I'd see a tube screamer anywhere near Tom
I love Robert as a pedal guru. I´ve had his modded pedals since he begun doing so. I am talking more than 20 years ago... Owned and own lots of his pedals. Btw before i forget, Tom is the man!!!!! great player. To me, i thought the Nobels sounded a bit more open and had something on the mids that made it more alive. I heard the keeley version like a full range and a bit narrower and focused. Loved the sound though
Yes. I had bd2 modded and got. Comp. Day 1. I was happy for years. Tried a lot. Lost my mind sold bd2 because I got. Red plate. Amp. But always regretted it. For small rig no red plate wanted that bd2 mod bsvk. And I did. Never again will I let it go
Tom is a force on guitar.
Tom is easily the coolest dude in all of music
Does anybody know whose guitar is that? It sounds stunning and I would love to know which pickups are in it: they perfectly enhance the greatness of the pedals displayed.
Brett’s guitar is bad ass! And then there’s uncle Larry!!
The harmonic trem and the delay sound great. The modded Noballs sounded like the original with a blanket thrown over it
Where did you spot a 'modded Noballs' in our video? I missed it. Seriously, I'm just confused as to what sounded like it had a blanket over it and at what point in the video so I can check. The harmonic Trem and Delay did sound great! Thanks!!!
@@RobertKeeleyTV 7:21 onwards - the comparison of the ODR1 to your pedal - listening through monitors - they're quite similar, the Keeley pedal sounds the same except there are hi mid and presence frequencies that drop away - to my ear it sounds literally like the same amp before and after its been covered with something - just honest feedback dude. Dont tell me you dont hear the difference in that comparison? In the highs / high mids? might be a different taper in the spectrum pot?
