    I like Steve Purcell. I always find it funny that the most unassuming and nicest people tend to make the absolute craziest and borderline insane art imaginable (looking at you Grickle!)

      Speaking of Grickle, have you watched my interview with Graham Annable?

    Steve Purcell! What an absolute legend. And what an epic interview! (although theres some slight friction?) Thank you both for your time.
    I had a very similar reaction to yours when the MI2 cover painting was shown! Added together I must have admired that image for maybe 10 hours over the years. That would be something to have on the wall.
    Ive havent heard it mentioned but these guys cant be very happy with the remakes, and the fact that all their amazing unique art and style is overridden by lower-quality photoshop stuff in the mind of so many new gamers...

      Thank you for the kind words!
      Slight friction is what happens when two sarcastic people talk for 4 hours 😜
      (But seriously, Steve is awesome and he was more than generous with his time and with his insights)

    I echo everybody's comments about this being a fantastic interview. Daniel, I'm always impressed with the amount of preparation you go through with each of your talks. I'm sure it's obvious to the guests when you actually have the interview, and probably in advance when you're getting the everything planned. There's obviously a lot behind the scenes, and it is much appreciate. Glad you have other viewers that feel the same as I do.
    A huge thanks for Steve Purcell giving so much of his time as well and sharing some momentos with the audience.

      You're very welcome! I remember in one of Paul's streams you mentioned having comments to videos helps with metrics or something like that. So, I try with every video. Plus, how else are you going to know how far behind I am?

    Something i'd like to ask (In regards to censorship) In the TV show we can see Sam and Max wearing Seatbelts whenever they're driving. This was something other shows like Batman had to do since kids are in cars with their parents. I'd ask if there were any other rules like this were applied by the producers?

    omg this is all so great, I'm still blown away by all these extraordinary conversations with all these great people who really influenced my childhood in the most positive way. maybe i'm being silly but somehow this feels like some kind of closure to me. i think it's incredible how art has the ability to seap through all these improbable physical, mental and temporal channels, barriers and filters and still contain somewhat fundamental apects of people's personalities in it. you reached me and many others at a crucial time in our lifes and that's fucking dope!

      I thought it was even bigger, but 2 feet x 3 feet is still pretty good! I have that great Purcell Monkey Island print he sold a few years ago, also in a very piratey frame, but it's only 1 foot x 2 foot.

    38:00 - Not good interview form to force the guest to stop expressing what he is saying. Better to wait until they are done and then go back to what you wanted to say. I'm enjoying the interview, though, thank you!

    • @danielalbu
      @danielalbu 7 місяців тому +8

      Thank you for the feedback.
      During the interview, there was a noticeable delay between our responses, resulting in numerous instances where we inadvertently spoke simultaneously.
      To mitigate this, I made several edits to evenly distribute these occurrences, alternating between instances where either of us interrupted the other.
      In reality, we consistently began speaking simultaneously in each instance.
      So in this instance it may seem like I'm interrupting him too harshly.
      I can assure you that was not the case, as I don't tend to interrupt my guests (which is why my interviews tend to be so lengthy...)

    • @neocolors
      @neocolors 7 місяців тому +1

      @@neocolors I worked on the final edit for about 40 hours (to fix all of the audio, video and delay issues) in addition to the 4 hours that I actually spent recording this interview :)
