i will always remember that good samaritan at the games store.. i was 13 and i wanted to buy "Conker: Live and reloaded" for the first xbox wich had a newer polished version of conkers Bad Fur Day on it (i didnt have a clue what this game was). my parents didnt want to allow me buying it since it was PG16 in my country. Then a man, maybe 30 came along and explained... well conker... thats like when tom and jerry fight each other.. it has squirrels and teddybears and flowers and stuff.. its harmless... my parents bought it and...
i played the game for like.. 1000 hours (hence the battle modes it had) and it influenced my kind of humor and made a great childhood memory (its standing in a shelf next to my 30 year old ass). thank you unknown german guy

It was so satisfying to beat Conker's Bad Fur day
I played this game when I was 6 in like 2002. Had an older cousin who had it and lent it out to me because he figured most of the jokes would go over my head and I'd enjoy it anyways. It was my first time ever experiencing "adult" humor as well as some effects that would show up in modern gaming such as slow-mo in the late game (which completely fascinated me more than the fact that I was literally pissing on enemies to kill them). Sure the jokes soared over my head but I loved it. And as a 28 year old some shit had me in stitches such as the whole "big bone" gag in the caveman world. Love it.
The multiplayer modes were also amazing!
So Conker Was The Nintendo Equivalent To Crank Yankers on Comedy Central they were behind the show at first but lost Interest after season 3 and moved season 4 to MTV2 a cable channel nobody had or watched

While time hasn't been too kind to some of the controls and physics of the game, the game is still fun to play time to time (mostly for the first two thirds of the game). And people can say what they want about the jokes and stuff, but they certainly made a memorable game. It wasn't just shock value for the sake of shock value, it did feel like they put their hearts into the game, as well as their farts. While not perfect, it is a great game.
Also I think there's a misunderstanding about Live & Reloaded. That game wasn't intended to just be "BFD remake with different multiplayer". The multiplayer was meant to be the main feature of the game that also featured a remake of Bad Fur Day.
I’ll never forget being 12, my parents gave me some cash to buy a game from Best Buy that weekend and while they walked around the store I chose this and the clerk just let me buy it and hid it in the plastic bag the whole way home lol. I’m really fortunate I was able to play this when it came out since I knew none of my friends never got it and I would have missed out on this classic, the multiplayer was actually kind of a blast too.

I played this game for the first time on Microsoft Xbox One as Rare Replay in August 2018 when I was twenty-eight years old. I finished it in later same year. It's kinda very crude and offensive but it's still a great game and it's also very funny. We know it's definitely not for kids because it has lots of foul language, violence and naughty things.
Back in 2001, I hadn't realised why the British video game company Rare decided to make an adult video game featuring Conker. I even thought Conker was a family-friendly franchise like Conker's Pocket Tales which was released on Nintendo Game Boy Color in 1999.

My older stepbrother had this game in 2001, he got this game because Madden 2001 was so bad on N64 my mom complained at our local FuncoLand and got this game. I can remember the three of us navigating the game and being so confused because it was so different but interesting 😂. But at some point my stepbrother lost interest and we started gamesharking it to see what happens and honestly we were impressed. Like the first half was fun because it was quirky but after pissing on the boulders in the bar it was meh. 22 years later I know my brother never finished the game but those memories were so funny from back then
My dad got me this game for my birthday the year it came out. Apparently he didn't notice the warnings all over it. My mom was pissed when she noticed what the game was actually like but because I'd already played a bunch of it I was allowed to keep playing it and my younger siblings and cousins ended up playing it too. We played a lot of the multiplayer. It had some pretty unique multiplayer modes and I still don't think i've played another game with an asymetric multiplayer where one side plays as fleeing french squirrels running up a beach to safety while the other side plays as murderous nazi teddy bears who try to kill the fleeing french squirrels.

I got 3 CBFD games when I was a kid and bought one unopened mint in a case a few years ago as the N64 slipped out of people’s minds at the time X360 and PS3 dominated. I’ve been offered £7k for the uncensored version of the game and refused the offer. It is one of the MOST sort after cartridge era games out there.

It was! Having the option for bots was the only way back then to have big battles with friends, prior to online gaming on consoles….I still remember that one castle multiplayer level
I guess the sad penultimate ending of CBFD fits well as the final goodbye of Conker. He doesn't want to do anything else so maybe it's best to let the character be remembered in full as it is. That's my take at least.

I miss conker and i never bought an xbox besides the og Xbox so I haven't played the Xbox version i especially loved the 4 player deathmatch on the n64 (as we all did with GoldenEye and turok)i doubt it will ever come to NSO N64 app given its adult humor and violence good memories though
