I love the scene at 0:45 so much like sam automatically assumes max has lost his brain because he doesn't want to come with him and the way max says 'I'm OK I'm ok' is the softest he ever sounded this gonna live in my head rent free forever

i'd have to agree, both sam and max are inseparable.
when sam loses max, he becomes a shell of his former self, losing his comedic wit and relying on needless violence to solve the case. respectively, when max loses sam, he panics and his attitude completely changes - his only thoughts are of sam.
they're made for one another, and they cannot live without each other.

I love how at 0:56 that Max has a lot quieter and softer voice when he’s trying to comfort Sam that he is indeed okay and still has his brain. It makes me wonder if the last game came (canonically) before this…
OH MY GOD?! DUDE FR THOUGH and if thats true the moment at 1:10, knowing that the current max after the 3rd game originally came from a world where Sam died rather then Max makes this episode SO MUCH more sad?!??!

Rob Tinkler's Max is my favorite vocal performance of the whole series full stop. He uses so much range and variation for a seemingly one-note character, brings the relationship between Sam and Max to a whole other level

As someone who knows nothing about Sam & Max outside of them being funny talking animals,
Every time I discover a new Sam and Max video, the comments are all full of mildly gay sentiment and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
On one hand, if it were almost anything else, I'd be down with it, no questions asked.
On the other hand, it's an animated Dog and Rabbit.
And on a different hand, it's DEFINETLY intentional on the writer's parts, because otherwise I don't know what the fuck else they could have been going for with some of the deliveries on some lines.
So fuck it, I guess they're gay.

Gay nothing they're canonically married (several times - apparently they like the ceremony). They're both partners in the coworker sense and in the married sense, so a lot of the jokes are double-meanings of the word partner.

Hello! Thanks for watching! The Sam and Max franchise originally started as a comic book by Steve Purcell. It had four game adaptations, as well as a cartoon on Fox Kids. All the clips for this video come from the cartoon.
The series in general follows sam and max, vigilantes that hunt after wacky criminals while being immoral themselves. its really funny and does not take itself seriously at all. the majority of the charm comes from their extremely close partnership! 100% recommend but do be warned only the show is family-friendly.
