- Installed a Vantrue S1 Dashcam on my Toyota Tundra. I have been meaning to do this for a long time and finally got around to it. It appears that with the way people drive, sooner or later the cam will pay for itself. Even if it's not an accident you are in, some of the footage is great. I will be doing a full review after I have some more experience with the dashcam in a later video to let you all know what I think of the product.

This video has literally made me not want to put a camera on my car , Jesus , never knew you had to take the car apart to do it 😩
If you have a cable puller you can snake it through that way. you can also opt for a cam that is forward and rear facing within the cab that doesn't require as much work.

Is there any way to mount with this camera(VanTrue S1) without using the adhesive mount?
Have you been able to upgrade the firmware to Version: VTS10J.V23? I’ve followed VanTrue’s instructions step by step, without it showing up as installed.

It's a great dash cam, my only gripe is that sometimes when you hit the save clip button, if it has rolled over into the next segment will not save the previous.i would recommend that if you get in an accident you pull the card so it doesnt overwrite footage you may need to save.
@@ForgeSpace Just got one (I am always last to do stuff but got it $120 unopened) but when researching thought if you adjust G force - when triggered, it records so not overwritten. Here because I have to hardwire install in a 2018 Buick wagon - brutal...
lol I have snaked wires for 20 years in cars that install was nuts. it takes 40 minutes max to install

HI I am disappointed that the power cable does not go to the fuse board, not the adapter connecter, most dashcams give you a choice, Thanks for the video. Regards welshman2081
