Can you list how long the videos last and how it keeps memory etc. also is it on all the time?

Turn off your android auto or apple carplay when connecting to the camera
with all the cameras already on, and connected to the main screen, I dont get why the truck cant be formatted to just record off of them.
That would be pretty cool, like the Tesla.
I’m trying to understand where the mount gets shorter. I was able to remove the cover and slide the headliner forks in, then replace the clip, but it sure seems like the camera is still sitting real low. If you would mind, could you please report back on measured distance from headliner to end of camera (lens end)
If I remember correctly, where the 2 hooks go under the headliner there is a black cover. Pull it apart and I believe it’s the shortest setting.

Do you have to undo the battery?
The instruction say to do so, but do I think you really need to, probably not

You can adjust the camera up and down

Question: can I view the live view while I’m at work while my car is parked at home? I’m having the dealership install it this Saturday on my 2023 Rav4. I hope this camera is good, I don’t want a 3rd party cam.
You are only able to view the live view in the car or within the Bluetooth/wifi range of the camera
How do you remove the cover to adjust the length? Didnt see any obvious tabs…
Mine is extended like yours was
I believe I slide the cover up and puller it outward to get the cover off

Thanks for the video. Does the dashcam require a subscription after a year? Toyota now has all type of annoying subscription services such as safety connect, service connect, remote connect, wifi connect...... if it requires a subscription, I don't think this is worth it.
It does not need a subscription to operate or view, just a login

do you have to subscribe for wi-fi service to watch it on your iPhone in the truck
No, you can just connect to it like you would any Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device.
I have not had luck connecting to Wi-Fi. Did your phone need to be off for it to connect to the iPad?
Have you tried connecting it with and Apple device? I noticed it seem to be more Apple friendly. I also saw another guy online have the same problem of never being able to connect and had the camera swapped out.

What did you need to do to remove it once you attached it to the glass the first time? Want to remove mine but did not see a release tab or anything.
just slide it upward to release the tabs, then the baseplate is just double sided tapped to the windshield.
I have a dash cam and it does set up higher. But not by much
Wow, and here I thought it just plugs into a port already in place. No longer interested.
Its a pretty easy install only took me about 20 minutes and Toyota already give you a power cable under the sun glasses holder.
I understand you are not interested, but I don't want others to miss read your post; Toyota does give you a port that's already in place from the factory so that you can plug in an aftermarket dashcam or even the OEM Toyota dashcam

at first it was really bad but than after the update it was a lot smother and would load live view
