    In this video, I compare my observations of a 2023 NX350 AWD made in TMMC (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada) and the Japan (Tahara / Kyushu Miyata) made NXs. This is the second video when I compared the 2022 Japan made versus the 2022 Canada made NX. Now we re-look at the 2023 and see if production has improved or not.

    I have a 2022 NX350h Executive. Had to wait for delivery for several months even after it was almost completely built. The build date on drivers door post sticker states built in August 2022, funny how there's no day just the month. We waited until November for it to be delivered as we were told they were waiting for some amplifiers used on stereo and parking brake components too. So essentially the car sat outside for several months waiting for those parts to arrive. Then once parts arrived it was pulled from outside storage and brought into a special section within factory to install the items and then shipped out o dealer. This process required Cambridge plant hiring and training some 250 new staff to shuffle waiting cars from outdoor lots to bring inside to complete installation of the parts into car.
    I only have one major issue that I have brought up with my Lexus dealer and also contacted Lexus Canada. As you may know the two outside mirrors are slightly different, the drivers side has the auto dimming feature but the passenger side does not. My drivers side mirror glass shakes from bumps, wind and when stereo turned up loud. The shaking makes the image in mirror blurry at times. The passenger side does not. They recently replaced the complete mirror with another new one but it still has problem. I returned to dealer after a few weeks to see if they had received any guidance from Lexus on how to solve my problem. They contacted them directly while I waited and took my car out to confirm the problem still existed, which it did, they also took out another NX they had just received as a demo to use that was built in January 2023 I believe, and that car had same issue too! I was told Lexus manufacturing would be beginning an investigation to see what they can do to eliminate the vibration. I have looked in on Lexus forums online and it seems like it's a common issue. I would urge anyone, Canadian or American, to contact Lexus directly and complain about the mirror if your car is showing this issue too. I believe in the US you can also lodge a complaint with the NHTSA as well. Other then this one nagging concern everything else is pretty good. Body panel gaps are consistent and straight. One small wrinkle in stitched seam on passenger seat only. No squeaks or rattles.

      Thanks for the detailed response and yes the vibration of the driver mirror is a common issue. I'm not aware of mine vibrating too much. I heard that they could increase the bolt and drill a bigger hole to solve the issue, but many opt to not do so on a new car.

      All 450h+ are made in Japan at the moment, which also contributes the long wait along with other reasons (popularity being one). I am still waiting too.

    The main takeaway from this video is ChatGPT knows thing better than me and most definitely writes way better than me diplomatically😂😂😂 on serious notes, I have owned both Canada made last gen RX and Japan made last gen RX when I moved to Australia. You may find some small discrepancies but I believe that is not caused by how it is built but where and how it is sourced. The panel gap are evenly tight at least I can’t tell the difference with my eyes. And lastly, both run strong and I have no problem at all in so many years, even after the Canada made one sit in garage nearly 3.5 years when we couldn’t go back home from Australia and it was only taken out for a spin by my brother-in-law three or four times within that period. So I am surprised you are so into details, well done, mate (learning from my Aussie friends now😂) 👍

      Thanks for the comments and yes ChatGPT writes better than me. I can say the 2023 is nicely built. Really need to look into the details to see the difference.

    I think the long-term quality is the reason ppl prefer MIJ

      I think that is one of the major reasons. Most top trim vehicles are made in Japan

    I am still grudgingly coming around to accepting the 2023 NX350 F Sport I bought in impulse last last year. After decades of driving I will never do that again. My car is Canadian built and seems just fine. I am not in love with the car by any means but it does have just about everything option one would want. The only things I do not have that some other models do have are the three bulb adaptive front lights and the top end sound system. I do not care about either really as i do not drive much at night and do not need an expensive sound system.

    • @lsft

      What is wrong with it?

    • @your_royal_highness
      @your_royal_highness Рік тому

      @@dariuszk8796 One reason for the sh*t colored glasses is that I bought the car on impulse. Not the kind of research etc that i normally do. First off, the car is really slooow off the line. For the kind of torque it has, it should be at least a half second quicker to 60 mph. The engine is loud (can you believe car makers actually pump fake engine noise into the cabin?); run flat tires add to road noise and there is more wind noise than expected at highway speeds. It is a Lexus and should be a quieter car. (The RDX is even louder as an aside.). I have the F Sport Handling and it handles just “ok”. Lastly, I saw the Monroney sticker say the car can two 2,000 lbs. But a year after the model came out there is still NO tow hitch yet for it. From any source. Bait and switch.
