    I'm trying this now....I've replace the starter the battery n starter relay ...when I tried to start it now the fuse box started going crazy...ticking... ..before it wouldnt start sometimes then I would have to give it gas to start it...but less n less it started till it didn't start at all....so I found this video n hoping it will work ... I think it has something to do with the fuel ..sometimes the gas speedometer doesn't work or jumps up and down n the gas one is always off ... Any suggestions ? If this doesn't work? Will let u know in few hours

      When my SUV went nuts, the first thing I did was get battery and alternator checked, also my pedals and everything in between, but them I realized it had to be something that effects all electrical, and well I'm doing the hard reset before I replace anything else to make sure I do not toss money away

    I have not read through all the comments so if I am repeating my apologies. Connecting the positive and negative leads together is likely discharging capacitors throughout the electrical system, TIPM and elsewhere. Having to keep them connected for hours is consistent with slowly discharging capacitors.

    I have a 2014 Town and Country van. It's started out that the engine light goes on, I did a scan and it said to replace the Cadlic converter. Then after it said to replace the oxygen sensors on the converter. Now the dash lights and on, no blinkers, heated seats don't work, no speedometer, no mileage, no gas signal. Not sure what it is, costing me allot of money just to figure it out. If I clean out the tipm, or replace it, do I have to reset the computer? Plus the lead on the ECMS looks like it might not be on correctly. Could that be the cause???

    • @MCFIXIT
      @MCFIXIT  5 місяців тому +2

      Hello, your 2014 will be multiple generations newer than 2002 Town & Country. They have changed a lot of the technology and computers since then. This sounds like it's either a wiring issue or computer-related. It's really had to diagnose without being present. These vehicles are known to have both wiring issues and computer issues in most years. I'd definitely look at the leads to your ECM and see if that might be the root cause. Do you have a trusted mechanic in your area?

      @@deanjagger1190 That's definitely a good idea. Sometimes these vehicles are plagued with wiring issues.
      Also check to ensure you have good ground. I don't remember exactly where they are located, but I think there is one under the battery and another on the opposite side of the engine block from there. If not properly grounded, you can experience some issues too.

      Great question! Actually no. It does not have any power in it. This process actually makes it like a hard reset on your phone. It causes everything to power down and hopefully helps you solve problems when its all been reconnected in about 4 hours or the next day.
