Today I received my TIPM plug-in relay system (lite) It was so easy to install took all of 3 minutes...I have a 2012 Town and Country that would not start any more. After watching your channel and going to your website to order this part it was seamless. Thank you very much for all of the research you put into this. My van now runs like it did when it was new, and you have saved me thousands.
Our TIPM Plug-In Relay System (Lite) is essentially the next generation TIPM cable with easier installation, fit, and functionality. It has three onboard LEDs to indicate power flowing to the pump, the run/start signal (the alternate power source), and the status of the original faulty relay for testing purposes. This part is patented and built from the ground up as a permanent solution. TIPM cables have always been temporary solutions since they have issues in high temperature environments due to manufacturing constraints. Thanks for the feedback Ross.
@@VerticalVisions I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab and it's doing exactly what you're talking about but the TIPM is slanted and has a different fuse box.. just trying to determine which fuse location to attach to?
My '13 Town&Country killed the battery 3x in a week, followed by hard starting (cranks over, no start unless switching key back and forth 4x) I got it running with starting fluid, at this point I suspected fuel system issue. Not many private mechanics good with electrical in my area, so I took to Chrysler Dealership on a Friday. They quoted me $125 to diagnose, had for 5 hrs, and could not replicate the issue, asked me to bring in Monday, so they could have more time to look at. I found this video and ordered with 2-Day shipping, came on Sunday. 10 minutes later, I'm on the road! THANKS JASON FOR A GREAT PRODUCT THAT SIMPLY WORKS!!!!
Jason , I have had all the problems that go with the Tipm, because you have been a kind soul and spent the time to help other people with the expence not many of us can afford, I ordered both the external electronic bye-pass and the cables as a back up. Thank my friend, the world needs more people like you and your wife. God bless you and may you live long and prosper, and may God bless you with good health to you and your family, Robin from Saskatchewan Canada
Thanks for your comments. We're still one of the few small businesses that tell people how to build the same parts we sell. Not a traditional business model by any means.
@@VerticalVisions 2012 GRAND CHEROKEE ,,Im not gonna lie ,i am building this exact bypass only because i need it ASAP ,i will however order one from you to support and to keep as a backup ,thank you for all you have done ,GENIUS
OMG THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!! We have been replacing part after part and this fixed it! Even the dealer misdiagnosed it! I am SOOOOOOO grateful! Our van has been broken down for at least 2 months now and I am so excited and grateful it is fixed. May God bless you and your family!! Just know you are blessing many people with just this one video!
Jason, I have a 2011 Dodge Ram (Hemi) and the battery was dead every morning for four mornings. Replaced alternator, replaced battery but to no avail. Then discovered that the fuel pump was running when the truck was switched off!! Stumbled on this UA-cam video and ordered the part. And it works like a charm. I cannot express my gratitude. Christmas is around the corner and the though of a $1500 repair (dealer quote) was making me physically ill. I appreciate your willingness to share this fix at such a reasonable price. My hope is that it has been financially a blessing to you and your family for you have surely financially blessed my family this Christmas. Thank you.
I just purchased this used vehicle and had same issue. We were at a lost until stumbling onto your video. I called to purchase this cable and I would like to add Jason walked me thru, step by step to verify external relays. He saved me money from buying the cable essentially taking business away from him and advised another cheaper route. Folks this is pure honesty and pure good intentions from Jason. Thank you for helping others.
I, just like many others on this thread, was experiencing trouble starting my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500. It slowly started taking longer and longer to start. Sometimes upwards of 15 minutes. I took it to the dealership to get diagnosed and was told I needed to replace my TIPM, which would cost $1400. Upon googling the problem, (and by the grace of God) I came across your website. After reading countless rave reviews, I decided to give your cable a try. I can't thank you enough Mr. Bell. I received my cable today in the mail. It took less than a minute to install and my truck started on the first try. Even my remote start works. You are the MAN! Keep up the great work!
7yrs later this video is still invaluable! I have (had) the "fuel pump is always running" problem. Removed the lower fuse... problem solved. Hell, I may never replace the TIPM, now! Thank you!
I've had this bypass wire in my tipm for over 2 years, I did have to replace it after a year, and I'm gonna replace it again.. one of the fuses on the bypass kit melted..have no idea why, but it hasn't done it again, would advise y'all just to check it every now and then
I cannot THANK U ENOUGH!! My wife was stranded yesterday, thankfully it happened in her moms driveway. Your video was one of the first that popped up. After watching and reading all the rave reviews I obtained the parts to fabricate one in a crunch, ALL GOOD. U are a GEM
I wanted to give a shout out to Jason. I bought his bypass product around june 2016. This has been a life saver. We have a 2012 dodge caravan, and the dealer wanted $1200 to fix fuel pump relay. An honestly, back then money was tight. I found jason while searching for a solution. We havent had any issues with this fix for almost 2 years now. Ive been meaning to say thanks, but just got busy. Great product! I highly recommend. It also came with step by step instructions. Thanks again Jason. Well done.
This works !!! My 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan would not start. My mechanic suggested replacing the entire fuse box. I saw this video 2 years ago, ordered the simple TIPM, installed it and the car started . I AM NOT GOOD WITH FIXING THINGS, but the instructions were easy for me to follow. Fast Forward 2 years - when the weather turned cold I had the same issue. I emailed Jason Bell, he had a way to fix it, again simple to do, cost me Zero this time. This engineer works wonders. Thank you for creating this fantastic product and your excellent customer service. Terry Brock, Murfreesboro, TN
I have a 2011 Ram 1500 and it started having issues starting at about 78000 miles on it. Well at 79000 it started taking 20 minutes to finally start. Then it eventually just did not start. Used my expensive research tool (google) and found this UA-cam page. I bought this relay bypass solution couple of days ago and installed it today. Took a couple of minutes to install. It worked!! The truck started right up after the first turn of the key. Oh man what a blessing this was to have my truck back. Do not hesitate to purchase if you 2011 Ram 1500 truck keeps turning over and then finally starts and various times. I should have bought when the issue first started. Thanks so much Jason keep up the good work.
Just wanted to say thanks for saving my 2011 Ram 1500 from a very large mechanic bill! Started having issues about a month ago, truck was hard to start, then would only start with my remote on my key, then wouldn't start at all... Had the truck towed to my mechanic where they tested the battery, starter, alternator, fuel pump, and found nothing wrong. While they were testing, I was researching and found your site. I ordered the standard cable and installed in the lot at the mechanic, it fired up instantly! I then moved the cable to the M37 to M25 with zero issues to this point. I will be ordering your more permanent fix after the holidays, thanks again!!!!
We bought this fix for our 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan because it was having issues with cranking and not turning over to start. Super easy to install, very clear instructions, and my car has not had one single issue starting in the six weeks its been on there! Thank you for coming up with a costly solution for a problem that it looks like a lot of us are having!!
Just did it now to my van and it worked perfectly fine ! Had mine on cigarette lighter as mentioned before. In the beginning it was working, after a month it stopped, but now all is working. Thank you !
Just got mine and it worked exactly as demonstrated. 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan...My shop told me it was the fuel pump, and it I was minutes away from brining it and spending $1,000 to have it replaced, not to mention that would not have even fixed the problem. Ordered the cable with the LED, ran through the tests...very simple...and it showed the pump was fine. Bypass has had the van running so far today with none of the problems we've been having for the past couple months. Ours would, very intermittently, just crank without ever turning over, even after letting go of the key. Past 2 weeks it started becoming more frequent, and even stalling after starting. No check engine lights or anything or for diagnostic purposes. Thank you so much for making this available, I will probably be sending in the TIPM for a more permanent repair as well. 👍
Appreciate the info! Im a vertical engineer, and small engine / Automotive repair hobbyist. Your video here took any stress and aggravation that can come with diagnosing and roundhouse kicked in the mouth! Mechanics had my buddies truck over two months! Literally took me less than 30 minutes with driving out to the auto parts store! Thanks again, keep up the good work!
Jason, THANK YOU for your knowledge and expertise. I have a 2011 Dodge Gnd Caravan Crew. 140.000 miles, began suddenly not wanting to start, just turns over vigorously. After trying about 5-6 times in succession, it would then start. But, if you switch off motor, and then the same routine. Took to my local garage and they said fuel pump was good but suspected TIPM, but did not want to risk buying a new TIPM and it not work. Said take to dealer, will cost you about $1200+, but they will take risk. I am a Mfg engineer and practiced electrical and mechanical engineering. I made a jumper according to your discussion with an in-line 20a fuse and it solved the problem. HOWEVER, I still went to your website and ordered your standard version jumper for $35+shipping because I value the information you offered for free and want to support you. IT's worth it !!!! People- if you have this problem- try this and buy Jason's jumper bypass, it's only fair since he is saving us $1000's out there for a problem Dodge created and won't warranty or recall this model. Thanks again Jason, you "de-stressed'' my life significantly, as I hate car problems and dealing with a dealer shop.
I tried today and It worked. OMG I just saved alot of money by just buying a cable. have to say that on the intermitent relay stuck, I brought the car to the mecanic and they did a 600$ tune up, they managed to turn it on and stabilize it but, you see where we going?? spending and spending because we didn't see this video before. God bless you man !
I started having this problem on my 2011 Grand Caravan. During my research I came across this video and ordered the cable. I got it and installed it today and so far everything seems to be working great now!
Thanks Jason! I live in BC Canada and ordered your bypass cable last week for my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. A couple of weeks ago the van began having troubles starting and eventually didn't start at all (just cranking continuously). I brought it to the repair shop and they said it might have something to do with the fuel pump relay but they didn't want to experiment on the problem.... a quick Google search and I came across your video & website. To be honest, I went off of my 'vibe' about you more than anything and ordered your cable. It arrived yesterday and I popped it in my van and.... voila! Van started up right away! Just in time too as my kid was about to miss his school halloween party because of it :) This is a great service you're offering and I wanted to extend my thanks. (for those of you needing this fixed quickly you'll be happy to know that Jason ships the product out very fast, complete with tracking number). Thanks again my friend!
Just ordered this to keep in glove box for my wife's 2014 Town and Country, as a precaution, since this is such a common failure and she travels a lot. I ordered it on a Saturday late morning, around 11AM, expecting it would not ship until Monday, and see it maybe Wednesday. Very surprised when it was in my hand Monday! I am an owner of an auto repair shop, so I am used to diagnosing problems, and using expensive tools/equipment, and this is as simple as it gets, and appears well made. I could have made it myself, but for the little cost, convenience, and knowing that if my wife is stranded, she will have clear instructions, AND a phone number to reach an actual person familiar with THIS REPAIR, to help. That means a lot Thank you.
I found this video a little bit late, I already spent hundreds of dollars on a new fuel pump on my VW Routan 2011 and the pump didnt fix the problem... I found this video like 2-3 weeks ago and bought the cables... A relative living on US sent this cable to Mexico ( where i currently live) and just installed it like 30 mins ago, i'm so happy this worked like a charm. Thank you very much guys
I have a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country. A couple of weeks ago, it would continue cranking but not turnover. I figured it was probably time for a battery replacement since the vehicle had the original battery. After spending $200 on the battery, the issue still persisted. That's when I started to research the issue and ran across this video. I ordered the bypass cable, installed it, and the car starts. Can't thank you enough, Jason, for sharing this fix! You saved $1000 for sure.
Thank you, excellent video. I just ordered one of your cables. I would rather spend $35.oo and be prepared than to be stuck somewhere not having a clue. My neighbor also has a Ram truck and I will tell him about this solution you came up with. JOB WELL DONE.
Thank you Jason, I just ordered your bypass wire you came up with. Like everyone else has said in some way this is a life saver. It is very frustrating when a part is $1200 and the car is a 2011. My daughter's 2011 Jeep Liberty the other day when she was driving on a 55 mph road just stopped running, luckily my wife was with her and was able to talk her through getting to shoulder of road without power steering which my daughter has never experienced before. My wife though she had forgot to get gas or something but she had a quarter tank. They sat there for a few minutes and then it started back up and they came on home. Shame on Jeep for knowing about this problem with a 5 dollar relay that could potentially cause bad wrecks and praise for Jason Bell for having the electrical knowledge and where with all to find a simple affordable solution.
It's only $ 175 dealers are crooks .. my friend that works at dodge put one under her name for me for my truck cost her only 175 but for me its 1200 wtf
Was having the fuel relay issue described above. I have a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T. Engine turning over but not starting. I ordered the "standard" cable (with the LED light); all the steps are included in crystal clear language; including verifying the fuel pump was working fine (not stuck in the on position by the way). I hooked up the cables as instructed and the car started on the first try !!!!! Unbelievable a $35 fix saved a potential $2,000 dealer bill (new TIPM / fuel pump / etc....)Thank you Jason. I highly recommend buying this cable even if your Dodge is not experiencing this issue; because most likely it will. Very cheap insurance policy and eventual fix.
I did the bypass a few months ago, but sometimes it won't start and my wife will have to wait 15 minutes before it starts. Plus I have the Routan they say go to Volkswagen when I went there they said No its Chrysler problem. Help please
@@madebydade305ify Even to me after 20 minutes it comes back on. The problem of my journey is that it goes off in gear ... while the car is moving, the machine goes off by itself.
@@dwtshopenjoy660 your are right. It did that to me the other day twice. I park it and now drive my old truck with mom problems. What is the solution to this stupid design. My bypass did not fix the issue.
Hi Brain...did u leave this standard cable on the car or u do it as a try only?i did it on caravan 2012 but i want to stay doing on this standard cable...

Just make sure you don't already have an external fuel pump relay installed. 99% of 2011-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango owners have them. You can identify them here: verticalvisions.com/en/content/7-external-fuel-pump-relay-basics
Jason let me first say YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan wouldn't start for anything. It was stuck in the garage. We are a family of 7 and that is our only form of transportation. It was a nightmare!!! My husband had a mechanic take a look at and he said exactly what you said they would say "It's the fuel pump" But thanks to you I knew better. I quickly ordered your system with the testing device. I stalked my front door for the FED EX delivery guy. I used the 2-day shipping option on your website. Well, It arrived and my husband and I followed your directions and TADA!!! Our van started for the first time in 5 days. We are praying that we can secure another vehicle soon. We are officially back on the road. Jason my family thanks you beyond words. Thank you for your honest and clear video. God bless you and your family!!
Great video. I had the same problem on my 2011 T&C van. I took it to the dealer and TIPM was replaced with a new one. Extended warranty covered the the repair at 100%.
I want to give a big Thank You to Jason Bell! Our 2011 Chrysler T&C was having all the classic TIPM symptoms and we were/are in no position to pay for a costly fix. I bought the recommended parts you clearly identified for $10, put it together, and now the car is running. Hasn't run consistently in a week, but today I was all over town. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and helping others. It is greatly appreciated! Rich Gabris, Chesapeake VA
Jason saved us over $1,600 today! My daughter's 2011 RAM 1500 quit running in traffic last night. When she called me I could hear the engine turning over so I knew the battery and starter were fine. I drove over 30 miles to help her, but couldn't isolate the problem on the side of the road. We had it towed to a local Dodge dealer and left the key in the drop box.I received a call early the next morning requesting the authority to proceed with analysis at $126 that would be applied to any repairs. After I gave the OK, I started searching the Web and discovered Jason's site. It didn't take long to get the call stating the TIPM needed full replacement and there would be some programming required for a total of over $1,600! I told them to stop all work!!! After building a bypass cable I traveled back to the dealership in the afternoon. I paid the $126 charge and got my keys back. I opened the hood right in front of the service check in area, said a quick prayer, and placed the bypass cable. First crank and it started! It is sad that Dodge didn't include more vehicles in it's safety recall. Jason is awesome!!!
Hi Jason thanks alot .only one information I want give you. Cold wheather bypass is not work . I changed heavy duty battery but still cold wheather like -5 dgree not start
Did the trick. I was given an estimate of $300 to $400 for the shop to fix my problem. Thanks for saving me so much money. I'm retired and living on Social Security, barely.
I don't know what hater game a thumbs down to this. My part came in today and it took 15 seconds to plug it in and my POS 2011 Ram 1500 started right up. Thank you Jason Bell you are a life saver.
Thank you Mr.Bell! Thanks to you I have officially diagnosed and fixed my 2011 Chrysler town and country fuel pump relay issue. I had starting issues and thank goodness I found your video. I did not realize my fuel pump was running after I walked away from the van until after I saw this. You saved me a bunch of money and headache. I just got this van on a rebuilt title and was super afraid of the possible issues it might have. Tour a life saver and I will be telling everyone I know of your amazing engineering skill. Thank you so much.
Helped me out, 10/10 very easy, very clear instructions. Dealer quoted $2000 cdn to fix Had this back up and running with the $35 cable. Many many thanks to Jason P.s never buying a dodge again
Terrific product - allowed me to diagnose a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 faulty fuel relay that was causing an intermittent hard or no cold start. Both a local repair shop and dealer were unable to find and correct this problem!
Well I just got my wire in today I replaced the fuel pump 2 times thinking it was a bad fuel pump and people saying a bunch of different diagnoses... I have a 2011 Dodge Ram and I just plugged the wires in as stated. Truck works perfectly now!!! The truck was not starting and if it did it would of been once in a great while. The TIPM is bad this relay I bought works like a charm! Bravo to these guys!!!
I have a 2012 Dodge Ram Pick up and was ready to replace fuel pump.....which is a real chore. What was happening that made me think it was bad is....I could hear the pump running when vehicle was off and my battery would drain overnight..... Not all the time but occasionally. While researching other potential scenarios I came across this video and website. I ordered cable online from these guys and did prescribed test and installed cable.....It worked perfect. Thank you very much.......how sweet it is to fix something like this so easily. Its like when your in school and you pay someone to do your home work so you can go play......not that I ever did that ( - ; Ralph
Jason Bell , Thank You your product got me back on the road !! I have a 2011 Dodge Ram with 55,000 thousand miles that the tipm went bad in !! Once again many thanks !! This is showing under my daughters name but I am Ray Driver !!
Thank you so much for the video!! Saved my dad from getting a rental and a very costly repair to the truck. I checked with a meter, and just ran a jumper from M7 (battery) to M25 (fuel pump) using a piece of 14 gauge wire
I have a 2012 Grand Caravan that cuts off intermittently while driving. It started a year ago and has happened perhaps a dozen times since. Jason spent 15 minutes talking with me about my specific set of symptoms. Great help. I did buy the cables and installed this evening. If the jumper/bypass cable doesn't solve the problem, I have ruled out the fuel pump relay without throwing $$$ at the dealer. Totally worth it. Thank you Jason!
Hey I really appreciate this information. After learning this, I've got my wife's van running smoothly once again. After didn't have to pay a mechanic!!! Thanks a million.
Jason I would like to thank you... This is my first comment ever on you tube. This video helped my out "Big Time" today. My son is away at college with his 2011 Ram 1500 and called yesterday and told me his truck was not starting. Crank no start. I did the UA-cam search and found this video. The detailed information between video and drawings was able to walk my son and his friend who knew his way around cars enough to diagnose and temp jump the bad relay. With the help of a gentleman at Autozone they where able to make a jumper and bypass the bad relay to get him home for the holiday safely. Although the store did not have the add a circuit for the 20 amp like you make they where able to use a 20amp fuse holder and some type of fuse insert that the m7 and m25 fuse cradles in and allows for a spade connection to complete the jump. Dude you saved me $100's. I will follow up with a external relay kit from Mopar as a more perm fix. Thanks again for taking the time to put this information out there.
Just ordered one, My 2011 1500 ram started doing this exact thing about 5 days ago. Talked to a local mechanic he suggested to turn the key on and let it set for a few minutes before trying to start the truck. This suggestion works it may take a couple of tries before tit starts but it will start.
@@jfielder8656 He's saying turn the key to the ON position, but don't try to start the vehicle for a few minutes while you leave the key in the ON position. This has been my temporary workaround, but it sometimes takes repeatedly attempts to successfully crank.
An this is exactly what my truck is doing. I have just randomly been doing the crank trick and if I hit the gas at the right time I can sometimes get it to crank and stay running! Definitely gonna look into this relay solution
I found this work around worked for me too, initially I thought my FPR was toast, so I'd turn the key on and off to prime the fuel pump multiple times.
I just purchased the plug in relay bypass system (lite). I chose this option to eliminate any possible issues with remote start. I'm fairly sure this will resolve the problem. Thanks for the help.
This is the last time I bought a dodge, it's the worst car in the world, the dealer has proven to be despicable for not calling its scrap cars.about this video Ok ok ok some people disagree 🤔 why ؟؟؟؟????? In any case, many thanks and deserves appreciation and admiration.thank you so much Jason.
Call the factory service rep and explain your problem and what can be done about it and which dealer can you take it to and get problem fixed. I would be very surprised if that didn't work for you.
Every vehicle brand has its issues. Its just different things for different brands. Just because youre having issues doesn't mean they are the "worst" in the world. Ive had issues with ford, chevy, dodge, nissan....
@Jasten Lothes ok My friend, correct. But if you compare your Dodge car with another car, such as Toyota or Honda, you will notice the difference. My Dodge car has 80,000 miles and I got a lot of problems like changing the alternator and the starter ,windows motor (2 times),air blower front and back, thermostat, brake switches, battery(every 2 years because the battery location close to the engine (too hot) and transmission fluid lines ,engine mount , water hose, fuel pump relay, suspension , and more etc... while my Honda car has 200,000 miles 🤔 I haven't changed any parts???(only one battery) what do you think??
Just saved me $1,000. Two shops told me it was “probably the fuel pump”. Turns out we just need to let the thing prime for a second before we crank it. Thank you!
Hello Jason, My daughters 2012 Chrysler town and Country had the no start drained batt, issue to begin with,,My son is a Transmission mechanic at the Chevy dealer and thought it was a bad PCM that wasn't shutting down and had an open relay but wasn't able to confirm that was the problem. It sometimes would start and run for one day, sometimes it would start then die like it ran out of gas.I started searching U-Tube and found your video ..My son agreed it sounded like the problem was very likely a bad internal fuel pump relay . So they ordered your "Lite "plug in bypass relay. It totaly fixed the problem no more getting stranded. Thanks a bunch Jason your Bypass relay saved the day . A seemingly complex problem made Simple and inexpensive :)
Thank you! Thank you. Thank you! One day I woke up and my car would crank but not start. I was at my wit's end. I had it towed to the local shop where they couldn't diagnose it for a week. I had no warning lights, everything came on, it just would not crank. I researched the issue along with my model, 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, and I kept seeing the same problem that Chrysler refuses to acknowledge...the hinky TIPM and the often failing fuel pump relay and overall lack of reliability of the TIPM. The mechanic eventually said I needed a new fuel pump even though you could hear it come on when the car was turned on and a $694 fuel pump repair. I politely had my car towed to the dealership and they got in and the vile betrayer that is my car started and he drove it around saying that it seemed fine. I came back the next day and it was still fine but they said if I wanted to pay them to diagnose it they would but sometimes it's just one of those things you hysterical woman you. I was at my wit's end, drove it home where it promptly stopped cranking again. I ordered your simple cable, installed it(I am not technically inclined but the instructions were so clear a 10-year-old could do it), and drove around the block....came back home...10 minutes later drove to the grocery store...then back home...parked it came in and went back out to....you see where I am going. A $25 cord saved the day until I can either get a new TIPM or I give up on this car. Thank you!
The most difficult part of our business is convincing people a $25 cable will resolve their issue. Yes, they work and there are thousands of cables in use worldwide since 2014. Thanks for your comments.
Jason, Thank you so much for the email and for walking us thru the options. After purchasing your bypass wire we diagnosed the problem to a faulty TIPM. Will be purchasing a plug bypass system soon. Thank you for helping people avoid costly unnecessary repairs. I have gone on various forums and blogs I subscribe to posting your website info to help others! Thanks
Jason, you are the best, my 2011 2500 hemi would not start, fuel pump worked , seen this video and ordered the relay bypass , installed it in 2 min, bam truck fired right up!! Thank you sir for your expert fix to my issue.
Amazing!!! Thank you very much for this video. After looking and looking, I finally found your video. Very professional explanation of the issue and solution of the problem. Very grateful for having people like Jason Bell. Thank you again!!!
We have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was leaving Wife stranded. It was early in the game and Chrysler/JEEP were dragging their feet on a solution. They wouldn't listen to us regarding the TIPM. I took the TIPM apart and replaced and upgraded the relay with a double pole so it now has redundant contacts. Worked great and then the horn quit working. Took it in to have Dealer look at it and they said the TIPM is bad. The relay for the horn had failed. So as luck would have it, we got an upgraded TIPM for free. They had to move some wires on the connectors as the pin out was different. I carry a jumper wire with us to this day. Great video you produced. Thanks.
I was stuck in Minnesota just days ago and had to be back in Oklahoma. It was the weekend and I had now idea what to do except to check out UA-cam. I was blessed to stumble on this site and solution. I was able, with the help of a young guy from Autozone, to rig up an inline fuse and get the 2013 T & C up and running. I'm writing from Oklahoma and happy to be back without a challenge. Thanks for making this accessible. I'm now ordering the solutions you've created.
I can’t thank y’all enough! Saved me hundreds of dollars! So glad I found this video. Got the standard cable and it worked perfectly. When I do eventually get a new tipm, I’m def going through y’all. Life savers!
This saved my bacon this morning on my 2012 Ram 1500 4.7L. My vehicle has been stutter starting for the past week: starter would spin, but would not turn the engine over. Occasionally, the engine would turn, stutter, and go off. Even more rare, the engine would turn and keep running. But I prayed and was reminded that I had bought a TIPM bypass cable last year for $30 or so. I plugged it in and my truck immediately started. So I think I got it fixed.
Thank you so much . I told my mechanic what the problem is. He didnt listen said he would test everything. My Fix D did not show any problem. I just ordered your product. Thanks for your reasonable cost.
I didn't know you had made a you tube video on this. I had emailed you 1 1/2 years ago thanking you for coming up with this solution. My 2011 Chrysler Town and Country had hard start issues from the fuel pump relay not sending power to the fuel pump. It was very fustrating for my wife trying to drive it and it not being reliable at restarting after making a few runs during the day. I noticed when weather was cold outsude it made the symptoms worse. I did take the TIPM puzzle apart and cleaned the three sandwiched boards hoping it would help. I do not recommend trying to do this. After months of trouble the relay got stuck on and would now drain the battery daily. I found your blog on a Google search and made my own bypass using your instructions. The van now has 11500 miles on it. I did install an autostart remote a year later and it worked! I am sorry for not responding to your email as I missed it and found it 3 months after. I recommend this fix for all having this issue. Thanks again for your help and wish you and your family the best.
We own a 2012 VW Routan that was an experiening this same issue. (noticed I said was...) I bought this bypass and followed the instructions and it worked flawlessly. I'm not a car guy, but this fix was straight forward and easy. Thank you Jason!
The battery on my 2011 Ram 1500 was draining down overnight. After some research, I came across this video. I ordered the jumper and installed as per directions in this video and it solved the problem. Thanks for researching and sharing the solution. I ended up saving a couple of thousand $$.
Just installed it and my 2011 Caravan turned on like a charm. Question; is this a permanent fix or should I plan on replacing the TIPM? Thank you Jason!
I had an issue with my 2011 Dodge Ram draining my battery and hard starts, tried your cable and everything work fine. Ordering the part was easy and I appreciate the quick delivery. Took only a few minutes to install. Thanks !!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This worked for a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country! 15 bucks in parts, 15 minutes of time, and it works! Wife's van is back in operation on Mother's Day! I went ahead and didn't put the lower fuse in the fuel pump side just in case the fuel pump was running with the car off.
OMG thank you so, so, very much Mr. Bell. Everything you described has been going on with my 2013 Chrysler TCountry. Pep Boys did the diagnostic testing and said it would cost me $1400 for the TPIM to be replaced. My car started having problem starting. It would crank, crank, and take awhile to get started. Then it shut off while in park a couple time and once while driving. All of a sudden I go out and the battery dead, and they replaced the battery twice. The last time after the change I turned the car off and could hear something running from the rear, and I thought I was hearing things from the outside, but I put my ear to the car and could tell it was inside. Today I found your video. You're a blessing to many people, and I am thanking you before my part arrives just because I feel this is amazing information you have shared. I trust this will fix my problem also. God bless you and your family.
Renee, thanks for your comments. It clearly sounds like you have a fuel pump relay issue, especially since you have experienced both failure modes of the part (stuck on and no start). The good thing is that there are many solutions to the problem that don't involve going to a dealer and they won't cost you $1400. If you haven't already found our solutions website, here is a link: www.verticalvisions.com/TIPM_solutions.php
I got a 2011 Ram that started acting up by the fuel pump staying on , woke up one day the battery is dead to make the story short finally found a video that relate to the problem I have thank you for the video I just ordered mine.
I ordered two cables! One with test led and one without. YOU JUST SAVED US tons of money in diagnostics and possibly thousands in repairs thx to your bypass solution. 5 years into a 8 year car loan and my van was dead. Did some research, found this solution and IT WORKED!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
Thank you. My daughters car has been acting up and we were stuck until I just happened across your website. The symptoms she was having were exactly as you described with the fuel pump relay problem. It was late on a Sunday and the car had become very unreliable. She is a recently divorced mother on a budget that doesn't include $1000 for this repair. She needs her car to be reliable, and we had to have it fixed by Monday morning, so we didn't have the option of ordering the test/bypass cables. Your explanation of the problem and how the bypass cables work was enough that I was able to go to the local auto parts store and purchase a couple of the add a circuit cables and some fuses to make a crude version of the bypass cables. They only had the 10 amp version of the add a circuit cable, so I took them apart and soldered 10 guage wire to them instead and used 20 amp fuses. My soldering skills are not great, so my daughter will be purchasing a set of the bypass cables to safeguard against a poor soldering job, but my version was good enough to get us through until she can get a chance to order the "real" cables from your site. Ultimately, I am encouraging her to buy the plug-in relay system that you offer because it will be a better long term solution. I can't thank you enough for putting this information out there for people to use. This really saved us a lot of time, money and hassle.
So 1st of just thank you! I'm a grandmother of 6... aaaaand being down even for an hour can be frustrating and devastating. I couldn't figure out what if could be. First it hesitated and repair shop said probably fuel pump. However everytime they checked everything was good. Soooo kept asking about this part, TIPM fuel pump relay, I always got the "this chick must be crazy" look... so I ordered this bypass...I still want the other one but anyway I received it and was excited and happy anxious all at once. I know nothing about vehicles to say the least, was a little a scared at 1st but I did it. It started no problem my remote start even worked still!! Thank you so much everyone told me there's no way it could be that easy!? Again thank you!!! From New Mexico nahnuh Sophia...
Great vid and saved me over $600. Garage said it was a fuel filter and wanted over $600 to replace. I brought a piece of wire to garage and did a quick bypass and my 2011 Ram cranked with no problems. Going to buy your wire now.
as you mention the add fuse or circuit could only find 10 amp so got a fuseable line put clips on end and trimmed to fit in fuse pin, put one in keyed side of 7 and other feed end m25. worked got me through a work day, did online order for the 20 amp circuits, got following day so made the line. have ordered and await your TIPM Plug-In Relay System (Lite). for worriless fix. thank-you for your remedy, as a friend was advising me to take to a shop and he would take me to work. the issue cost me a day of work and about $175.00 say less than $400.00 that a shop may have said need new pump and the TIPM box which checked price was $1200 for box alone so add pump shop labour and such could have been about a $2500.00 shop charge!!! Grateful you had this up and i was able to find it as save tons thank you very much!!
I own a 2010 jeep liberty and my fuel pump relay was broke and was constantly running. This was killing my battery. I bought the jumper without led. I followed this video and installed the jumper from M7 left to M25. Yes I did have to remove the fuse closest to the M25 terminal. 5 minutes later my jeep was fixed. I can't believe this could be this easy. Thank you for the part and for how to video.
I bought a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country about a week and a half ago from a dealer. Great price and the test drive was perfect. Close to the end of the hour drive home the check engine light came on. Got home with no problem. Nothing seemed amiss. Later that night it wouldn't start. Not even crank. Next day it would crank but not turn over. Started Googling and started seeing TIPM. I felt horrible. Then I ran across this video and I had a little hope. I went to a parts store and bought what I needed to make a cable of my own. They only had the 16awg wires. Put it together and popped it in and after a few tries it started. This time of year in Iowa it's a little chilly so getting it to start with the 16awg wire under 50 degrees was hit and miss. At least I hoped it was because of the 16awg wires. So I got on the website and ordered the TIPM 7 Lite. Got it today and put it in. Bang. Started right up and it is mid 30's for temp here today. I couldn't be happier. I don't know if the dealer knew something was wrong with it when they sold it to me or not. I did take it back after I put my cable in and told him what I learned and he didn't seem to even know what I was talking about. They only had it on the lot for a day. But it was a really good deal so I have to believe that they knew something was up with it. They just didn't know that they could fix it so cheap.
I just ordered the plug in bypass for my 2011 Town & Country. If this works I won't be able to thank you enough. Thank you for the time you have put into this. I have no way to pay what the dealer wanted to replace the TIPM so finding your video and site was a Blessing.
You're not alone. Feel free to call or email us if you have any questions once you receive the cable. Thanks.

Thank you for the video it really helped, its been about two weeks that my van has been draining the battery. Until came accross this video and found a solution.
Outstanding! This video popped up in my feed, and at a good time, because my son's new-to-him 2011 T&C started acting up a few days ago, and last night, this problem cropped up at an inconvenient place, an hour from home. We were able to get it started, but the problem was easily recognizable, very distinct from prior research, watching a mechanic go thru diagnosis and repair. Thank you for the excellent video, I'll be on the site later to purchase one of the bypass cables, and get him squared away.
Today I received my TIPM plug-in relay system (lite) It was so easy to install took all of 3 minutes...I have a 2012 Town and Country that would not start any more. After watching your channel and
going to your website to order this part it was seamless.
@@VerticalVisions I commented on this video twice I need help may you might know how to bypass a 40 degree angle tipm
I want to order one
Amen!
Thanks Mike.

He did blessed people with this
Jason, I have a 2011 Dodge Ram (Hemi) and the battery was dead every morning for four mornings. Thank you.
Wade, great post as we get many comments like yours this time of year. Many thanks.
Jorge A where you get the cable from ?
Forgot to take out the bottom fuse.
Can I ask what you connected it to?
Well done.
Thanks Mike. Great feedback. Let us know if you have any questions down the road.
Roger Hinojosa Was this a permanent fix for you? I also have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, that is having the same problem. Thanks.
Yes it is still good.

I ordered this and received it last week 2012 dodge caravan. After 4 starters and a new battery I am starting my car with no issues. Thank you so much
Appreciate the info!
Great post. Thanks!
is this a permanent fix ??
Here in Alberta with the same van looking to avoid paying $1400 TIPM + labour. Just order the Relay System (ByPass) Lite
Thanks James - your review is much appreciated.
Does this work for the head lights I have 2007 caliber and the head lights will not come on?
probably a different relay. check your owners manual for the headlight relay.

I just fixed my 2013 caravan with a bypass cable. Faulty relay just like the video described. Works!!!
I did the bypass a few months ago, but sometimes it won't start and my wife will have to wait 15 minutes before it starts. Plus I have the Routan they say go to Volkswagen when I went there they said No its Chrysler problem. Help please

Terrific product - allowed me to diagnose a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 faulty fuel relay that was causing an intermittent hard or no cold start. Both a local repair shop and dealer were unable to find and correct this problem!
There's two ways of repairing them. Get a whole new tipm module or take it apart and solder in a new relay
Thank you for saving me thousands. I just got my bypass & you saved me. Thank you thank you. I'll recommend to anyone I know.
That's what I used to do before I got one of these 😉
I have a 2012 Grand Caravan that cuts off intermittently while driving.

This worked like a charm! I used the 'deluxe' cable with LED test light and diagnosed a bad fuel relay on a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. Thank you!
Just installed your product and my truck starts like new...thanks for offering this awesome product at such an affordable price! You sir are a saint!
Bought this part and it saved me when we were stuck out of state during hurricane Irma
You are a lifesaver! I was having trouble starting my car, it was struggling to start. Found your video and got a bypass cable and now it works!
Elaborate
No problems since installing this work around
I just purchased the plug in relay bypass system (lite). I chose this option to eliminate any possible issues with remote start. I'm fairly sure this will resolve the problem. Thanks for the help.
How can I fix the issue with my Keystart it works fine starts every time EXCEPT for key starter.
This is the last time I bought a dodge, it's the worst car in the world, the dealer has proven to be despicable for not calling its scrap cars.about this video Ok ok ok some people disagree 🤔 why ؟؟؟؟????? In any case, many thanks and deserves appreciation and admiration.thank you so much Jason.
i agree, since fiat took over they build pure garbage.
@@nouro7723 lol I just love dodge but I see your point
Thanks Richard.
Thank you! Thank you.
How do I buy this part?

thank you Jesus for this video
Jason, Thank you so much for the email and for walking us thru the options. After purchasing your bypass wire we diagnosed the problem to a faulty TIPM. Will be purchasing a plug bypass system soon. Thank you for helping people avoid costly unnecessary repairs. I have gone on various forums and blogs I subscribe to posting your website info to help others! Thanks
ordered this 2 days ago. got it today took less than 5 min to put on. and my van started right up. saved me a whole lot of $$$. thank you.
Jason, you are the best, my 2011 2500 hemi would not start, fuel pump worked , seen this video and ordered the relay bypass , installed it in 2 min, bam truck fired right up!! Thank you sir for your expert fix to my issue.
Worked great on my 2011 town and country. Has started every time now since installing it. Thank you so much!!
Worked Great on 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan! Thanks for this awesome fix! You guys are genius!
Jason you are brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to share. I came across this video on an unrelated search. Great information for diagnosticians.
I can’t thank y’all enough! Saved me hundreds of dollars! So glad I found this video. Got the standard cable and it worked perfectly. When I do eventually get a new tipm, I’m def going through y’all. Life savers!
Dear engineer Jason.... thank you for your help , u replied me very fast....i appreciate that ...i am from Iraq , Baghdad...
Has the problem come back ?
@@madebydade305ify No, the truck has consistently worked/started since I installed the cable.

Thank You very much, this was my problem and it was an easy fix! I was almost ready to drop my tank and found your video!
RESPECTED ... Life and time saver...thanks
Thank you sir your video help me out so much please how can I order this product
I had an issue with my 2011 Dodge Ram draining my battery and hard starts, tried your cable and everything work fine. Ordering the part was easy and I appreciate the quick delivery. Took only a few minutes to install. Thanks !!!
You sir !!! You are a genius!! I used a wire to see if I have the same problem. It worked!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!
Kinda sad how many people have watched this video. This tells you these tipm are crappy!!
Peach Kyle.
And that's the people who want to do it this way. A lot of people just replace the tipm 😮 and don't forget all the other issues tipms have
I just fixed a 2012 grand caravan with this part. The fuel pump was staying on when off
I just ordered this can't wait to get it
What’s the website to order it ?
Fix your problem?
Bypass fuel pump relay 7:00
Tipm they should have called it , Jip-em out of the money that is!
Grandmother of 6? You made my day with your post. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions down the road. Thanks.
Great vid and saved me over $600. Garage said it was a fuel filter and wanted over $600 to replace. I brought a piece of wire to garage and did a quick bypass and my 2011 Ram cranked with no problems. Going to buy your wire now.
Thanks. The old fuel filter or fuel pump dealer excuse. Heard that literally 1000x from customers like you.
You've got to be kidding me! $700 later (fixing legit issues so I'm not mad) and your part is what got my 2011 T&C running. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
as you mention the add fuse or circuit could only find 10 amp so got a fuseable line put clips on end and trimmed to fit in fuse pin, put one in keyed side of 7 and other feed end m25. worked got me through a work day, did online order for the 20 amp circuits, got following day so made the line. have ordered and await your TIPM Plug-In Relay System (Lite). for worriless fix. thank-you for your remedy, as a friend was advising me to take to a shop and he would take me to work. the issue cost me a day of work and about $175.00 say less than $400.00 that a shop may have said need new pump and the TIPM box which checked price was $1200 for box alone so add pump shop labour and such could have been about a $2500.00 shop charge!!! Grateful you had this up and i was able to find it as save tons thank you very much!!
Glad you found us! Win win.
Great story. Thanks for sharing.
Just plugged it in on a 2011 RAM 1500 that was acting up. Tested it several times and worked like a charm. THANK YOU!
