Hi my name is jeremy and I had the same issue with my 07 town and country 3.3 liter and I found out that I damaged the map sensor when I cleaned the upper intake manifold with carb cleaner when I should've taken the map sensor off first and cleaned it with electrical cleaner so to fix the problem I replaced the map sensor with a new map sensor and the van runs great now no more hesitating and stalling and no check engine the map sensor works just as a mass air flow sensor works by telling the (car computer) how much air and fuel to use, great job on this video it really helped me out and I hope that my comments help someone else also take care of yourself and your family and stay safe😷.✌🏽😁👍🙏
I've replaced the pcv valve, the hose to the pcv valve, the MAP sensor, the egr valve, the air filter, the spark plugs, and spark plug wires, and the distributor coil pack, and recently the fuel pump and sending unit because the fuel gauge wasn't working. It showed 3/4 full when it's almost empty. After I replaced it still didn't read correctly, it's more accurate but still off by a few gallons, which means it's probably a gauge cluster issue. And it's still trying to stall when I'm waiting at a drive thru in Drive, the rpms start dropping below 600 down to like 500 and 400, so I drop it in neutral and give it some gas to stay running. I just eplaced the Iac valve, and got a check engine code P0508 Idle Air Control System Circuit Low, so either the connection/wiring is bad or the new iac isn't working right, it's a walker brand and I thought it was a good brand. Now I'm also gonna replace the Tps and the IAT sensor because I got a code for it oo P1193.
So based on the odometer and the way it is flashing also looks like you should check your batery connections too when they are loose or when you have exposed wire it will cause some of those issues as well.
If no check engine light came on then spray some brake cleaner into the air box. If spraying brake cleaner keeps the motor running then the problem is the fuel filter. @JShawnPaul I have an '03 T&C Lxi van doing similar to this video. No check engine light either. I made a comment a while ago to this video about what was going on. It doesn't stall out anymore unless I happen to overfill the gas tank because of a faulty gauge. I noticed it would stall out more when I would overfil it. Now, it just seems slow to get to speed and does a sputtering/lunging kind of thing when I accelerate. I'm still trying to eliminate what it could be
I have a 2003 Town & Country Lxi at 134,563 miles that is doing something similar but no check engine light. Got it from an auction, and I don't think a lot of maintenance was done on it. When I start it up at the beginning of the day, it starts fine, but as soon as I put it into drive or even give it gas while in park, it stalls or chokes out. Does that once or twice every first start up now for a couple of weeks. Seems to drive fine, except it will sputter a bit when stopping fast or speeding up. Also, it will idle between 1.5-2 RPM at least half of the time. It might potentially have a faulty gas gauge as well. Some recent repairs I've had done on it to rule out some other potential issues are these: new battery, spark plugs, serpentine belt, cabin air filter, and has had a fuel system service clean. It could be dirty sensors or other things from sitting to be sold at an auction. I'm hoping it's not the fuel pump, trying to narrow down what it could be. Any thoughts? Much appreciated!!
My 06 3.8 l Town and country was misfiring and backfiring and sputtering, check engine light on, I replaced the coil pack and the wires and the spark plugs at the same time, problem solved.
You can try CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner . Make sure the rubber boot between the air intake and the throttle body is not torn or cracked . That would allow unmetered " false air " to the engine .
I don't think my issue is the same as yours. But you can put a little bit of gas on the air filter reinstall and see if it will start. It will die after it done using the feul in the filter. When it does then you know the engine is starving for feul. If it doesn't start then its going to be something else. Wich then you will have to tow it to a shop or home.
I'm having the problem too, happened after I changed fuel filter but I broke air line, I'm guessing, that sits on top of tank and run to filler assembly, I used crazy glue and baking soda to reattach line but don't know if it's getting enough of whatever it needs to run right, I also had to change fuel pump cause old fittings broke plastic tip on fuel pump, mechanic said it was tps sensor and replaced it ran ok, the hesitation and idling up and down stopped now I get running awhile and it will stall out like I'm out of gas or some kind of vacuum leak, I'll try map sensor trick or I'm done cooking with this thing! I have an 03 dodge caravan with 170,081 miles, engine and transmission still strong
@@terrytrice8584 What was you final fix? ...and lol at crazy glue and baking soda, I tried that on a dirt bike fuel filter crack, it dissolved immediately. @@bikersoncall baking soda and super glue still holding! If this doesn't work I'm done with this thing. Driver side sliding door stuck locked(actuator)
I'm here because I have an 08 T&C 3.3 with over 300k and its starting to spudder and shake while driving, and while in park you can hear like a misfire or the exhaust sounds like its popping .. the exhaust muffler does have a hole so its kind of loud also.
You should stop what your doing and see how far you can throw your scan tool. This is the only part left to change. I can make a video like this. Watch. OK my car keeps wanting to stall all I did was change the gas it’s the IAC valve EOG valve map sensor battery air filter and air temperature switch battery and air filter and just like that boda bing only 300.00 and all day and it works like a charm. Hi. What function has the map sensor? Is the air sensor other part or it is the same?
For future reference. If you use a vacuum gage and know how to use it well it will help diagnose your problem.

What was the actual issue, and fix?
Same here I replaced alot and still same problem s stalling random mostly after driving around for awhile

it doesn't flash like that in real life, it's just the camera
Refresh rate of those displays do not match the camera sensors
Same thing with the 3.8L engines too.

Pcv valve is the issue
@janeemalloy5923 I'll check into that, thanks!
I changed the distributor and it fixed my Sebring 1996. no more stalling issue with my car.
when random stalling occur
is sign of distributor. or fuel pump going out

The rubber boot on this particular van was fine, sort term and long term fuel ratio readings told us that. We raplaced sensor and all is well.

Anyone knows about new timing chain replacement if it got to be tight or slack. Got 07 town country 3.8 trying install a new one.Thks.
There will be very little slack at first until the engine starts the oil pump will start pumping up the hydraulic tensioner to tighten up the chain
Changed mine and still random stalling right at 100,000 miles
Change battery if it starts then dies if all fuses relays good.
Was this causing the van to hesitate on acceleration.
Appreciate the video! Just FYI. Couldn’t really hear what you were saying in the car.
What is the hose called thats sticking up and running to the air filter box? It has 19 on it
PCV hose

It reads intake pressure
