I watched another video explaining it’s just an assembly issue and an easy fix too. Awesome knives I love mine especially the newer Magna cut version 🥰
I absolutely love mine I have the mini auto it does great with ranch work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, firefighting training, camping, it’s an absolute pleasure to have in the hand and is a beast of a work horse.
My original Freek came with 25 degrees on one side and 35 on the other. S30V is kind of wasted if you don't bring the edge down to under 20 degrees per side. So I reground both sides down to 17 and it has been working great over a number of years. I do think that Benchmade is charging enough that we should at least get an evenly ground edge to some kind of recommended angle instead of some random angles that have nothing to do with the alloy and the knife design.

I picked up a 12/23 full size manual Adamas and the detent is insanely weak. Barely flickable by the thumb studs and very minor movement can unlock and fully deploy the blade. Are your full sized ones like that? I also have very minor vertical play but I’ve spine whacked it numerous times and it’s never failed.
no solution video yet? i have couple of axis locks with tiny vertical blade play after deploying. can be fixed simply by re-locking opened knife, lubricating also helps, but it is probably not your way...
@@adadadad8251 You are the first person to remind me about this! I’m not sure how much interest there is, but this is what I found: flanges on the cross bar hit the wall of the sculpted out area on the underside of the scales. Because of that, the barrel of the x-bar doesn’t travel far enough forward. I was able to remove some of the G10 material and now it comes all the way forward most of the time. Sometimes it gets hung up just a hair short of full forward position and then the play returns.
On my full size manual adamas it seems as though the X bar is too thick to follow all the way through.I t cannot be pushed further until it is against the ending wall of the liner. The there is still a big gap between the steel liner and x bar when fully deployed.
There wasn’t much interest. The fix is: the flange of the cross bar is interfering with the cavity of the scale towards the blade side. I sculpted out the G10 in that area and that eliminated most of the play.
So my mini Adamas has the vertical wiggle but the axis lock is fully engaged (i.e. you can't push it up any further). So not sure how to fix that if it's even possible.
