Started playing a bit of MW in the start of Dragonflight and almost got mad about not playing it sooner. Really a fun spec with a lot of opportunities in the tree. 100% my main alt in TWW if not my main
Pvp player here-ive mained disc since cata but have played many alt healers as well. Will be gearing up my monk this weekend and most likely switching to main MW. Disc just doesn't have the mobility i crave and im so sick of fear being my only cc.
It doesn't bring anything numeric to the table, but I also feel its incredibly visually pleasing to play. The green blue mists flowing around, and the new jadefire stomp variation make your heals so incredibly pretty. Now with the celestials popping out adding even more colors to the pallet. I think it definitely adds to the experience.
id kill for like how destro locks got the green fire quest if like mistweaver got a quest to change all their green misty effects to like a nice sea blue
hey very informaive video and i started my journey with the MW in TWW so im very new to healing, that brings me to a question. how can i see these heal numbers AND the dmg numbers, because i only see the dmg numbers but not the healing ive done and that would be very helpfull ^^
No one is really talking about it because it's unpopular and kinda niche, but Clash is now on the class tree instead of the brew tree. It requires some weird positioning, but gives us a deathgrip. I wish it would function as a charge if the target is immune to gripping, but I know Blizz will never be THAT nice to us.
Love the video. Would love to see an actual screenshot of the talent tree though. I want to follow this build but its hard when I cant see your full talent tree.
When I see what all healers can do, and I look back to my priest, that has shield ._. can't remove poison, can't remove bleed, doesn't got interrupt nor CC (disc) and one hero talent is not reliable and the other just got nerfed a lot, I get really sad, I don't want other healers to be nerfed, I just want my class to do stuff too
Priest has PI which is basically a net 10-15% dps for a dps and 5% stamina >>> 5% physical damage because meta will never be physical oriented so it is between nothing and laughable increase of damage. Leg sweep is basically fear and kick is nearly useless as healer ie druid didnt run it from season 1 to season 4 and they were top tier from season 1 to season 4 ... So you are comparing ring of peace to PI basically... give me PI i will give you ROP :)
@@kriisleeDalaran kick is one of the most valuable things as a pug M+er, the fact that rank 1 rdruid doesn't have a monkey team does not make my game exp better. pi is worthless. paralyze: another CC, also removes enrage too. RoP is 100% better than PI. Leg sweep is not fear, fear will make your target run away and pull other mobs. Chi-ji is a lot better than rapture or LB with a shorter CD. mobility of monk is 20000% better than priest. Compare Mass dispel to Revival haha. Monk healing profile being awesome at every single type of healing, disc struggling to keep himself alive and needs support from aug to properly move. MW has lots of effective cooldowns, disc has lots of dead cooldowns that waste your time while you could have smited and had your only real cooldown come back which still doesn't heal not even close to monk or ANY other healer. Compare all those defensives too. my priest has to run 50% vers to live a +20. priest needs buffs and new spells. disc priest is the most shit dead class for M+ going to be released as it's worst iteration ever.

sooth weaver is a viable option, i know everybody hates on it cause you loose dmg - but it's super strong and soothing mist is so iconic, with yulon out, serpent statue & unison you just burst soothing mist on to all your party members and it looks so cool! Nevertheless you stay in meele and do dmg whenever you can, but pls stop dooming caster mistweaver! many ppl love it and we need to stop hating each other and be happy, that mw is so versatile!
adding peer into peace to the mix, when shit hits the fan you can so quickly react and top healthbars insanly fast switching between focusing different party members - soooo strong! :)
On raid i would say yes even if mixweaver seems also to be quite effective with crane style and pool of mists which is cool. In mythic+ i say no. Mastery is sooooooo effective right now that timing a 4 stack of teaching of monastery and a RSK just after damage come is really game changing in m+ even without chiji.
Is castweaver still viable? I really really do not want to do fistweaving at all (I've always done caster Holy Paladin). N.B> I don't do mythic-level dungeons or raids so I'm willing to bet both ways would be valid.
Debating whether to stick with my Druid main or swap to Mistweaver for my AotC guild. Or I can let others heal for once, and play my Frost Mage or Warlock. I’ve never played mistweaver, and I’m not sure how fast I could pick up the heal rotation and get a feel for the class. I leveled through Remix, so that doesn’t really give you an idea of how it really plays. Thanks for the video, I look forward to seeing the other healers.
It is worth notice that all talent relative to vitality for master of harmony hero tree are bugged atm. Vitality cap is not consistent (sometimes 50% max HP sometimes 100%), vitality is lost instead of withdrew, clarity of purpose only work with ReM, expel harm and revival and multiple GoM do nothing on the number of stack and coalescence is only working on single direct healing spell so only vivify and GoM. Almost 2 weeks left before extension start and no blue post about that seem to likely lead to those bug not being fixed. So if you plan playing MW monk keep in mind that you are kinda force to use conduit of celestial in any form of content.
Which Healer does the most DPS in TWW ? From logs i see that disc is miles ahead of dmg while mid tier in heal rn in prepatch but does it stay this way?
What about mana forn mw? I remember you talking on live something that mana tea had some bug and was recovering more mana than intended... I really enjoyed the thematic of Conduit of the celestials
They fixed that! Mw mana feels good and if you use the discount cost after channeling mana tea then you pretty much never have to drink water in keys. In raids the spec is one of the best at turning excess mana into more healing so I’d imagine they’ll crave innervates
Great overview Jak! Although I feel like you didn’t glaze Life Cocoon (big green bubble) enough! Once you have all your talents, it becomes a 90second cooldown, applies BOTH your hots, including the one that increases the amount of healing you AND your HoTs do to the target. In DF It was STRONK you could basically ignore most bleed effects, in NO the war spear charge could stack twice on your fav BM hunter and you had the shield for every 3rd round and it just completely negated one of the hardest heal checks in that dungeon. In Throne of the Tides, it’s + basic fistweaving was often enough to get through one of the crushing depths. For the pull with two of them you just cocoon one target and soothing most spam the other and the cleave heal would do all the work. It’s an absurdly powerful cooldown and works great as both an “oh shit” button to prevent a death. And a great way to help out squishy ppl from getting one shot with preparation (like crawth and vexamus in AA or the charge and shout dragons in AV) And it’s only on a 90 second CD! It’s phenomenal and great for helping new players get into the spec. Just keep it on CD and your life is EZ.
@@caroqt I would disagree with the “To the ground” bit. It’s still one of the stronger 90 sec CDs. It’s no crack bird, but it’s still quite good. Plus with conduit, sheilun’s and revival buff. I feel like MW is still one of the better beginner friendly heals.
God I love both mistweaver and holypala melee playstyles, but also melee in general feels worse and more crowded than ever. I'm probably doing monk after shaman anyway though, at least I can learn the dungeons on a ranged character first. Conduit of the celestials hits the spot for me.
I just got back into wow after 15 years! and am running a mistweaver monk whats that addon called that shows your party health bars like that across the screen
I don't mind fist weaving, especially in an M+ environment, but I do thoroughly enjoy Soothing Mist / Jade Serpent Statue gameplay. I wish I had just one more point to take statue in my M+ build but I can't justify losing anything.
I feel like Master of Harmony is so underapricietad - specs that you can pull off with Thunder Focus Tea and it's constant output with 15 sec CD is amazing.
Does anyone know if there is some sort of option in my settings to turn on the instant vivfy proc? Mine is not lighting up like Jack's is doing. So annoying constantly checking my buffs.
the fact that the devs basically ignored 'caster mistweaver' with the hero talents is a dam shame. I enjoy caster mistweaver more than any other healing spec and they are tossing it in the trash with the fact that 9 hero talents across both options are literally dead talents for it.
I wonder why most videos don’t really lay into how powerful the “increased healing” “buffs” are with enveloping mists and renewing mists. I feel like it might be the most powerful part of monk toolkit to take advantage of and doesn’t get much airtime. Am I wrong in feeling this way?
It is : 1. Costy. 4.2% mana for 300% sp over 6 sec and 40% increase healing for a 2 sec cast time is meh at best for example paladin do 400% over 6sec plus 20% cleave for 0 mana and only 3 holy power instant cast. Not mentioning the fact that the 40% barely balance the low sp vivify and ReM. Vivify is 258% sp vs 315% to 400% of other healer. 2. Overhealing spell. At least 30% at best and often more that 60%. 3. Did i mention the 0:05 cast time ? For a class that play melee it is as close as a death sentence 4. Non intuitive with fistweaver gameplay It can still be preshot on tank and use during chji or TFT which is quite strong but this is it. MW monk has better tool for every other situation

Mistweaver class fantasy to me is amazing when it's a ranged healing spec But fistweaving just doesn't interest me. Unlike Paladin, whose body is literally infused with the light, where it makes sense that every hit against the enemy will heal up their allies, Mistweavers are punching and kicking the shit out of the enemy and that's somehow healing his team up? I love Mistweaver in PvP because you get to stand back and channel the mist into your allies But PvE Mistweaver is basically dead for me - it's just not an interesting playstyle.
MW was good in season 4, but not meta because druid synergized better with the meta comp. I'd argue with the addition of Pool of Mists, Crane Style and Chi Harmony, MW is in a way better spot than it was even last season. These abilities are insane for MW and cover a lot of the issues handling continuous AOE when your CDs are down. Conduit is also super powerful. Overall MW is looking really, really good for M+. The only thing that could hold it back is if the meta comp is ranged casters again, and other healers will continue to synergize better. Who are we kidding, of course the meta will be DH + casters again. That's all Blizzard knows how to do is make Rangecraft.

I mained a healer (Mistweaver) for the first time in Season 4 and had so much fun. Excited to do it for a whole xpac.
I may level a monk in TWWI as a healer. I haven't done that since MoP, so this should be fun.

Holy Paladin or Mistweaver Monk is going to be my go to for TWW, enjoy both their play styles.
If you enjoy both you better go paladin for season 1 if you want to be less frustrated in both raid and pvp.

I've always enjoyed the melee healer aspect of hpal. Is Mistweaver more or less melee than paladin? Anyone played both?
I would say more melee because of the damage > healing playstyle. Dps rotation is more impactfull than paladin.
More so. Think of yourself as a melee disc priest but you actually have oh shit buttons

i hate this playstyle, healers shoundnt be played like a combination of DD and Heal, except Disc. Its just annoying and allready stressfull enough

I love Mistweaver in PvP because you get to stand back and channel the mist into your allies
But PvE Mistweaver is basically dead for me - it's just not an interesting playstyle.
You can Play mistweaver caster in pve aswell
Its the same as pvp

Yea but its sub-optimal
MW was good in season 4, but not meta because druid synergized better with the meta comp. I'd argue with the addition of Pool of Mists, Crane Style and Chi Harmony, MW is in a way better spot than it was even last season. These abilities are insane for MW and cover a lot of the issues handling continuous AOE when your CDs are down. Conduit is also super powerful. Overall MW is looking really, really good for M+.
The only thing that could hold it back is if the meta comp is ranged casters again, and other healers will continue to synergize better. Who are we kidding, of course the meta will be DH + casters again. That's all Blizzard knows how to do is make Rangecraft.
