This is an excellent video that kinda bummed me out. As someone who only played WC3 and Frozen Throne, I was curious to see what had happened to the characters after that game ended. I... can't say I'm very satisfied with the answers to those questions in many cases, BUT! this was a very thorough video and a good resource. Thank you for putting it together.

SL showed the extent to which the Titan's machinations controlled every aspect of reality, and began to set up the narrative of how flawed the results of their hubris had become. We would see this theme continued with the Primalists and Incarnates in DF. The origination of this theme being Sargeras’ rebellion in response to discovering the Void and its aims.
Never played WoW more than a few starting zones until hardcore and SoD. War Within will be my first major dive into retail WoW and i'm kind of excited.
I have made a return to WoW after some time. When I used to play, all I focused on was completing objectives and moving on. With my return, I have been craving lore like never before and have been trying to find a way to learn it effectively. I really appreciate the quality of the content in this video! Keep it up!

There’s too much lore in Warcraft for me to wrap my head around it. Whenever I do, bam a mysterious island shows up, a dead king turns out to be alive, that piece of map you couldn’t go to is now a city of dog people, a god damn dragon fucks the place to hell and my girl sylvanas breaks bad over some jailer pusher who has always been pulling string? Oh and then the timeline splits and manaroth gets an axe to the skull, is Guldan still around then? Did Garona not turn out to be a sleeper agent? I can’t keep up and that’s just the last 35 years let alone the tons of lore they added in back to the past to make fuckin pandas make sense
Yeah I never understood why pandas had to be included to the story in general lol And yes it's crazy to wrap my head around all these details as well, I ended up watching this video at least 3 times while I'm doing laundry or before bedtime, trying to get a complete picture out of this big puzzle lol
I know right don't you just hate it when watching/reading/listening to a show or story you actually need to remember things?! Panda's were in Warcraft before World of Warcraft, which is why they were wanted and relevant to the story. Sure you could debate Blizz's choice for panda's but regarding lore they were always part of the history.
I loved the vid and feel the last third could have profited immensely if you had continued to provide these small cards, showing a character's name and brief summary. There was just so much info I feel I want to/need to understand to know what is up (as someone who returns to WoW since Cata).
Started playing WoW 2 weeks ago and it is great to finally have a connection to the names. Although I did not manage to grasp everything in one go, I do think that I have learned enough to get what is happening going forward from The War Within
Gladly I found this video after playing WoW back and forth for nearly 12 years (I’m 22 btw). Now I understand more of the streamlined lore (rather than fun facts I learned playing the game or reading wow wiki over the years) and this gets me much more hyped for TWW. For a new player, this video has given a lot of the quests more weight going through the new expansion. Also, this video and others have got me to think about going through the Classic quests too!

The world building was unlike any other game even if the quests or stories didn't say that much. Heck it didn't even need epic cutscenes but it was just so much better starting from nothing and paving your way to endgame raids. It's such an epic journey. I remember all items, dungeons, raids everything from vanilla but anything in later expansions just felt useless and forgettable

truthfully they should have just started work on WoW 2 once they wrapped up arthas’s story with wrath. i mean you could argue that cataclysm was kind of the start of something like that but it’s still the same engine, just souped up and bloated

I played this game since it came out in Europe, back then never really cared that much about all the details, as I was a casual player. There weren't that many parents back then gaming in my guild and my first daughter was still little, but I remember her loving the priest when she died, cause then she looks like an angel 😆 god I had to die a lot for her, she had a blast lol 😂 Now my second daughter is a little gamer as well, then we introduced her to wow, that was quiet a little moving moment to me and hubby, we stood there and just smiled lol Anyways lol Now I'm older, still casual player but enjoy the whole story, it's so hard to have an overview without reading the all the books, this is much faster and just love how much effort you put in that. Around the middle of Shadowlands I started checking my phone, trying to fix my computer desk, and by the time Dragonflight was being spoken about(the only xpac I didn't play) I was completely tuned out. I am trying to reignite my love for the story, but I just can't...Why hasn't Yrel opened the Dark portal to come and cleanse the evils of Azeroth? Been waiting for years for that... Is that going to be ignored? We all have at least one Maghar orc.

as an outsider to the WoW community, this is what I've gathered regarding this world's history from this video. Early and Pre-history: Gods born from the spirits of worlds couldn't get Cthulhu and friends out of this one planet without hurting it, so they made robots to keep them from breaking out. Cthulhu pulled a reverse-mechanicus on the robots and turned them all fleshy as a funny prank. Recent History: DING-DANGULON OF SAZERICK CALLED UPON THE MIGHT OF ZEROTH TO WIPE OUT THE LEGIONS OF VOLKVANVONVOLKVAN, ENDING THE THREAT OF THE DIRE LEGIONS AND BRINGING PEACE TO AZEROTH. UNTIL LISHITTEN, FOLLOWED BY HIGGINATHI AND DINNELIN, REEMERGED FROM THE OTHERPLACE AND INVADED THE KINGDOM OF GREGHOG TO AVENGE THE-

Yeah you're correct, missed this one but I think his survival is possibly retconned into the story afterwards, not 100% sure.

as an outsider to the WoW community, this is what I've gathered regarding this world's history from this video.
Early and Pre-history: Gods born from the spirits of worlds couldn't get Cthulhu and friends out of this one planet without hurting it, so they made robots to keep them from breaking out. Cthulhu pulled a reverse-mechanicus on the robots and turned them all fleshy as a funny prank.
Recent History: DING-DANGULON OF SAZERICK CALLED UPON THE MIGHT OF ZEROTH TO WIPE OUT THE LEGIONS OF VOLKVANVONVOLKVAN, ENDING THE THREAT OF THE DIRE LEGIONS AND BRINGING PEACE TO AZEROTH. UNTIL LISHITTEN, FOLLOWED BY HIGGINATHI AND DINNELIN, REEMERGED FROM THE OTHERPLACE AND INVADED THE KINGDOM OF GREGHOG TO AVENGE THE-
