Thanks for the video! Have been waiting to hear a recap of all the speccs with their hero talents and how they are with all the changes that has been going on since you did your first impression videos! Looking forward to the rest of the healers aswell!

I hit 3k easily on my Resto Sham last season. They're an enemy name plate watcher. What you lack in personal defense, you make up for in the ability to just stop damage. Also my life changed when I learned how to use Totemic Projection, like they are unplayable in dungeons without that. Definitely playing this in TWW. That 2 minute Asc is so much better, they gotta be S tier now.
Shaman totems like healing stream are very powerful to create areas of safety for the group but if the group has to move feel bad cuz they get left behind. nice vid, definitely bringing resto for raid nights. much easier talents for mana and dmg as well as 2 separate talents for 15% totem radius if you go totemic is going to feel absolutely amazing. all i need now is a glyph for classic chain heal to go with my raid boss spirit links and im happy
Thank you this excellent RESTO SHAMAN GUIDE FOR THE WAR WITHIN. When deciding WHICH HEALER IS META IN THE WAR WITHIN, you definitely helped me decide on my RESTO SHAMAN BUILD and RESTO SHAMAN TALENTS. META HEALER TWW, RSHAM M+ GUIDE, etc.

Definitely selling the class more for me! Been having a ton of identity crisis for my alts recently since there's so many specs to choose from in general. Shaman climbing the charts since they seem to be looking really versatile/ strong
Excited for these videos for the other healers. I’ve gotten bored with tanking and dps over the past decade decided to heal in TWW, not sure what to play though
The 5% DR on earth shield is also pretty rad for the tank. While its not really a true external, having that up permanently can really make a tanks life easier.
I’m more or less new to wow completely as I played maybe like a week total and just came back to retry and see if I’d give it another try since TWW is coming out and since it’s still free weekend it was the perfect opportunity and tried out a bunch of different classes and specs and honestly the resto shaman just felt so good so I’m definitely gonna be maining it when the new expansion comes out
This was an interesting video. I've always been a dedicated arena player and haven't ever touched pve, but was thinking of trying it out in TWW. Totemic looks super fun but it doesn't seem like it's good in PvP right now, so I might have to dabble in PvE just to have fun with that.
Thanks for the vid, but I don't know , priest will be my main for healing as usual... even though I alrdy assume they wont invite me neither on holy or disc priest XD in pugs
I have mained this very class for a very very long time. Whilst the new Rsham looks amazing there are a lot that requires prior planning in terms of builds etc. We really are a (excuse the bad pun) jack of all traits. But it can very easy to get overwhlemed with button bloat (not as bad as Hpal) but it is bad. The Rsham even in Pre-patch feels solid and is easy to pick up for anymore which makes it more fun for us 'seasoned' rsham players to push the envelope a bit more. I must say I do enjoy m+ playstyle a bit more than raid which is such a refreshing feeling considering raiding has been where rsham generally shines!
I'm probably gonna be playing Rsham in tww. I wanted to play resto druid, but rsham seems so much better at triaging. The people I play with are not top tier (neither am I really) so being able to reactively save them is going to be worth its wait in gold. The extra kick and utility is just icing on the cake.
Since maining healing in DF I have loved Shaman. My first was Disc Priest and second resto. As I played Shaman more I like healing on it more. Not just the healing but the utility is frankly better than Priest (I wished it wasn't). So mid beta I made the decision to main Resto in War Within. Mainly Totemic but I can see Farseer in the mix. :D
I've been very seriously considering this healer. But i mostly do m+ and I feel like shaman always has a cap on it due to its survivability, similar to hunter. What are your thoughts about rshaman feasibility up to 3500ish rating?
Their survivability has gotten loads better. Wouldnt be surprised to see them stack vers for the highest of keys but I think the spec is very likely to be represented well at the high end
Same for me, leveled one in Remix recently and Hit Level 70, the amount of skills ist just way too much for me. Compared to Hpala or Disc Priest for example. I really would Like to Play resto shaman but i dont know…feels way too much Button pressing.
I have never played Healer in retail and im planning to try heal in War Within, i dont plan on doing Mythic Raids / High Mythic keys. Which healing class would be the easiest to play / carry the player as i will admit im not the best player?
Holy Priest and Shaman are significantly easier healers than the rest. Holy a bit easier rotationally tbh but you dont have as many tools/utility to handle the challenges of PuGs in dungeons as shamans have. If you re more of raiding type, holy is easier but both pretty close still. Personally I find Mistweavers (for dungeons) to be pretty easy too but I also enjoy a more fast paced playstyle and enjoy melee. If you dont like melee ignore it. The more involved/harder healers are evokers, druids and discipline.
Hi, what can you tell me about the current situation about the big mana problems of restro shamans. I did not play WoW for 1.5 years and after prepatch I tried out nearly all classes and tested some builds and compared to other healers, the resto shaman is running out of mana faster than the other healer specs. Might need clarification but I believe Totemic chain heals no longer use the talent tree buffs according to the latest patch notes (unless they've been reverted).
They use High Tide and other buffs but those notes stopped the Chain Heals from your totems from eating things like Tidal Waves that only effect the cast time of Chain heal! So it was a good change
Might get into healing this expansion. I’m a bit lost on resto shaman key binds. Could be that I’m too used to dps being on the main buttons and then reverting those to heals. Does anyone have any tips that may help. I’ll likely look into vuhdo or a similar add on. Don’t know if those are crutches and I should just properly bind.

@@AutomaticJak Fair point for M+, but the issue with Reactive is the opportunity cost. What are you going to give up to get it, especially in a totemic CH build.
The options I see are:
First Ascendant (2 min Ascend much better than reactive)
PTC (much better than reactive, especially if you take a flow build and eat your Riptides a lot for buffed chain heals)
Master of the elements (if you are playing as max healing CH build maybe this is an option, especially since the Flame Shock MOTE stuff is bugged currently)
Spouting Spirits (not sure of the numbers but I am pretty sure it is better than reactive, my gut says the emergency heal when you drop link is better than the tank healing when refrshing ES)
Downpour/High Tide (definitely better than reactive)
Tidebringer (definitely better than reactive)
Ancestral vigor (definitely better than reactive)
Acid rain (doable if you want to neuter your DPS and be completely healing focused. Seems like a bad trade off to me, but doable)
Gl shamans i hope they dont ruin you before proper launch
Who does your thumbnails?
Can someone tell me how to get the ui of the group members in the middle?
There was a blue post about Chain Heals from Lively Totems no longer consume Whirling Air, Nature’s Swiftness, Tidal Waves, or Tidebringer.
Yep! That’s a nice buff. All those effects reduce cast time so having your instant chain heals from your totems consume that is really bad.
How’s the damage output for Rsham compared to the other healers?
There’s some bugs w totemic that are reducing its damage. When it’s fixed I think it’ll be competitive but I don’t think healer damage is going to be a primary factor like it was in SL in determining which spec is king
