question why does peterbilt sound louder on than a Kenworth or an international truck.
thanks for supplying me with all the bullshit i buy bro

Whats the difference between a 359????
Mutombo Says 359 is just an older model.
@@mutombosays780 did some research here, the exposed air-filter hoses and old hood ornament are pure 359, BUT the windshield wipers that rest horizontally read 379. My guess is that it is a 379 that somebody threw the classic parts at to give it the look of a 359 because it would be much easier to swap air filters than remount windshield wipers.
@@tylerlaw9694 Nice! My regular rig is an 89' 379 with a 425HP Cat 3406B and 15 speed. She's a fussy old beast and I'm on this "ugly duckling" spare until the cooling system gets sorted on Goldie. I can't complain about the 500HP Detroit Series 60 in this one though, she scoots a bit better with a full load, but it feels like I'm playing on easy mode. What's your 379 got for engine and gears? You should do Mack Trucks next? Mack has a long history of trucks dating from the early 1900's.

Seann Borba yep they are extremely tough trucks.
except they are junk now
My dad has been a trucker for over 3 years now. From Canada to Cali and Texas. This video makes me happy
Truck shown in the F&F scene is a 359. It has the external breather hoses running through the hood's walls and it has fender integrated/mounted turn signals. I know the 379 also has squared pod lights but the 359 also had them before, it came around in the late 70's or early 80's if I'm not mistaken.
Can you guys here on Donut put an AC in the room for James?
Lets make a go fund me page

How else could you get up to speed without a healthy dose of speed?

Lmfao same just not at work
Doing exactly the same thing. Although not really hiding.
The worst thing about dropping logs is all the paperwork you have to do afterwards. 😂
Optimus Prime is the sole reason for why Peterbilt is my all time favorite Semi truck company, and why the 379 is my favorite Peterbilt and Semi truck of all time
My dad has been truck driving for 40 years and Petes are his favorite truck. Back in 2017 got to break in a brand new 386 on a run to Yuma and San Francisco with my dad.. Amazing memories

The truck that was used in the first fast and furious movie was indeed a late production 359 Pete. Not sure of the year actually, but it was definitely built in the mid-80s. Square headlights was an option for the 359. There's a few ways to tell a 379 apart from a 359 externally IF THEY ARE STOCK. 359s had separate circular turn signal lights mounted on the fender while the turn signals were integrated on the headlight clusters on a 379. Another way to tell them apart is the wipers. 359s had wipers that faces outwards or positioned vertically towards the center. The 379s were more contemporary and both wipers faced to the passenger side. Also the cabs of the 359s were more narrow than on the 379 and the windshield were more vertical than on a 379.
Where it starts getting difficult is that owners of 379s purposely make their trucks look "old". They swap out the rectangular headlights for either dual circular headlights or even single circular headlight clusters. Honestly, this makes me want to find a needlenose Pete and slap on 389 headlight clusters just to piss people off.
Btw, the 587 is dead. The 579 ultraloft replaced the 587 as peterbilt's high-rise sleeper
I'm astounded by the diversity that y'all show! I've been a subscriber for a while, but never realized how much you cover. Well done!

Optimus prime has been many trucks if you’ve watched more than one movie 😉 just like bumble bee
