@Dave Micolichek take a look at the voodoo then get back to me
There are a couple really excellent ones he forgot to mention. Off the top of my head, the LSA was the 6.2 liter supercharged engine that was in the Camaro ZL1 and 2nd gen Caddy CTS-V and was a 560 hp beast.
Bro Commodores have had an LS option since the engine first came out, wheres the aussie love my guy
He did he mentioned the gto
They read off a cue card. Ask the writers - who are different people than the presenters.
how could he not say commodores
All this channel does is shit on the GTO/Monaro/Lumina. He didn't even mention the Commodore/G8/SS
The Commodore & Monaro had a few awesome engines over the years - the HSV GTO (Monaro on steroids) had a Callaway-tuned LS1 with 300kW (400hp) back in 2001(!), the last HSV GTS-R W1 had an LS9 (635hp) and the insane W427 had the LS7 with the full 500hp on tap! Hopefully donut will do a video on the Ford Windsor and Barra motors, as well as the Ford Falcon.
"Ferrlali" 250 gto since we already talked about shelby's daytona
I remember seeing a SR20 laying next to an LS on Hoonigan and it really put the LS size into perspective for me. An LS is probably only 15-20% bigger than a SR. It's wider but shorter than an SR.
James talking about LS, singing boys 2 men, while rocking frosted tips! Made me think of my awesome childhood! Thanks James!!
Came across this channel last week. awesome. James is a brilliant host. clearly passionate for what he does.
Wait what!??!!! A heartattack!!!?? I had no idea 😱🥺 You're too important too pass away! You bring so much authentic energy to people around the world!
I'll do an LS swap one day, but until then, I'll enjoy my LS2 GTO!
That... that is an LS engine though..
pollutedcrimson that’s the joke son....
@@itsyourboy7150 jokes are usually funny
Maybe he means an LS swap into a car that doesn't normally have one. Like if I took the LS out of my GTO and put it in my Miata
Just make sure you're consistently checking the oil in that thing. Spun a crank bearing in mine and ended up Swapping an H/C/I LS3
My family wanted to pull the plug on my grandma, but I didn't give up on her. LS swapped her heart... She's runnin better than ever 🙏🙏
I can imagine any GM ecex watching this and thinking "what the hell is this guy smoking, I LOVE IT!"
All you need to know about a GM LS engine is that it RULES
Guys, please use voice compressor. It's a device or audio plugin that narrows the range of sound loudness. It's built in every video editor such as Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut... In this video sound is either too quiet or too loud. It's absolutely necessary with cardioid directional microphone like one used in this video. If you wish, I can help you with that. Also, keep up the good work. :)
Thank you!! its killing me!
The sound of an LSX 454 brings a smile to my face. When I'm old, just take out my heart and replace it with a 454 V8.
He needs a project, someone give him a project, he's going crazy
When you brought up the "confusing engine codes" of the GM truck/SUV's. I cried. L9H, 6.2L in my Yukon...
Considering LS Swapping my OBS silverado for the summer🤙🏼
That’s what I’m doing right now! 93 getting a 5.3
Cam niceeeee are you putting a cam in it?
Eddie V probably gonna put a turbo cam in it, and then turbo down the road
Same, goal probably next summer. I have a 93 as well 👍🏽
Jose Venegas oh yeah well my grandpas mothers fishes wolfs son has 7 of them
My grandpa has a 5th gen GTO with a LS2 with headers (aftermarket) and man, that thing is so awesome
i cant believe he didnt say "this thing is Omazing" at 2:33
Haha tough exactly the same 😅
Yess I’m already this early and excited enough cause quarantine really needed me to learn more of cars with donut media ( best channel out there)
Am currently watching this in the middle of my zoom class
same
This is one of those videos where I wished they mentioned Holden. The V8 Commodore is such an icon in this country.
If it had an Australian engine, transmission and chassis maybe.
@@USandGlobal they did. The six cylinders models were made in Melbourne and up until the year 2000 the SS models had the Holden V8 designed and built in Australia. In terms of the chassis the from the VE onwards the chassis was completely designed, styled and engineered in Australia for Australian condition from the ground up.
